A senior high school principal identified as Warren Escosar allegedly committed suicide after he allegedly shot to death a teacher and her husband at the Uybico Bilbao National High School in Barangay Po-ok, Hinoba-an in Philippines this morning, April 12.
It was gathered that Warren Escosar fatally shot Almarisa Arroy, a teacher also in the school after killing Christopher Arroy, Almarisa’s husband.
Salemgists gathered from information released by the Hinoba-an Municipal Police Station that Escosar arrived in the school onboard his pick-up truck armed with two different firearms.
Escosar then allegedly opened fire at the Arroys, initially killing the husband.
Almarisa ran towards one of the open classrooms to hide, but Escosar gave chase until eventually cornering the school teacher and shooting her in the face killing her on the spot.
Escosar then returned back to his vehicle and grabbed a .45 caliber pistol and killed himself.
Police are further investigating the incident, although Hinoba-an town Mayor Ernesto Estrao believes the incident may have stemmed from a complaint filed against Escosar.
According to the town mayor, Escosar was reported to have received a notice from the 8888 Citizens Complaint Center, regarding alleged mismanagement at the school.
It is currently unknown if Arroys were the ones who filed the complaint against Escosar.
Troops Rescues 2 Women Who Escaped From Boko Haram Captivity In Sambisa Forest
Two women who escaped from Boko Haram/ ISWAP captivity in Sambisa Forest have been rescued by troops of Operation Hadin Kai.
Reports says one of the victim, a 19-year-old lady identified as Martha Yaga was taken into captivity by the terrorists in Askira Uba in Borno since two years ago.
It was also learnt that another victim, 19-years-old Blessing Adarju was abducted from Kindindila Village in Adamawa state.
Salemgists gathered that it took the victims seven hours to trek to their freedom. They were rescued by security operatives who were on a routine patrol in the frindges of the Cashew plantation on April 10, 2022.
A military source disclosed that the girls escaped when Boko Haram/ISWAP sent them alongside other captives to fetch stuffs following an increased food shortages in the camp.
The sources said:
“The girls claimed that what made them to venture into escaping was as a result of their forcefully marriages being proposed to take place in the nearest future in addition to them.being held hostages for 1 year 9 months without any hope of being liberated.

Lifeless body of a young boy who is yet-to-be identified has been found by residents in Borno state.
Salemgists learnt that the boy who was already dead was found along the road in Kototo District in Maiduguri, the Borno state capital.
The ugly development was disclosed via a Facebook post by an aid worker identified as Junaid Jibril Maiva.
Maiva appealed to anyone with useful information on the identity of the boy or his family to contact the phone numbers he pasted.
He wrote:
“This boy just died in AA kotoko district in Maiduguri, and his parents or people are unknown. Please if anyone knows him should come to Bulabulin A A Kotoko area or call these numbers. 08026145252 Slave Man. 08060955381 Hussaini Mohammed Mala. May Allah forgive him and have mercy on him. 10/04/2022”
A young man who is yet-to-be named has been electrocuted while working on a building in Otukpo, Benue state.
Salemgists gathered that the building the young man was working on was allotted by the LGA just below an electric high tension wire.
Sources on the scene of the incident accused the Local Government of allotting many shops under high tension wires.
A source lamented that just last month, a young man was electrocuted while working on one of the buildings but he was lucky to be alive after a quick medical attention.
The source said the corpse of the young was deposited at Royal Specialist Hospital Otukpo.
Decomposing Body Of A Mother Of 6, Elizabeth Nalem Who Left Her Husband To Marry The Holy Spirit Found In The Forest
A woman in Kapenguria, West Pokot County in Kenya’s Rift Valley who shocked many people after she left her husband to marry the Holy spirit has been found dead.
Salemgists learnt that the woman made claims that she married the holy spirit because it was a directive by God.
The woman, Elizabeth Nalem, a mother of six, said God appeared to her in a dream, and had instructed her to leave her husband to spread His word.
Nalem alleged that the Holy Spirit directed her to pastor Albert Rumaita who then bought her the gown, hired vehicles, and even organised the Locals to accompany the bride in song and dance as she made a dramatic entrance into the town in an appealing white bridal gown, followed by friends and devotees on her May 26 wedding.
However, things took a tragic turn after her decomposing and mutilated body was found on Saturday, April 2.
Police reports indicate that Nalem had left her home a week earlier with a panga and a walking stick and headed to the forest only for her body to be found later.
Police say there is a possibility the deceased would have been attacked by wild animals and feasted on her remains.
Kapenguria OCPD Kipkemoi Kirui said investigations have been launched to establish whether she was attacked.
Kirui said the body must have been in the bush for more than a week.
No fewer than 11 soldiers have lost their lives in an attack lunched by suspected bandits on a military base in Kaduna state.
A source told salemgists that the terrorists who came in large numbers attacked the base located at Polwire village in Birnin Gwari LGA of Kaduna state and engaged the military men in gun battle
The invading terrorists came on motorcycles with heavy weapons including rocket-propelled grenade (RPG), they engaged the troops in a fierce battle that lasted for about two hours before dislodging the troops.
It was also learnt that the troops suffered several degrees of injuries. Their weapons were also carted away by the gunmen.
A military source said:
We lost 11 men while 19 soldiers were wounded in action, after they overwhelmed the troops. They also burnt down three armoured personel carriers (APC) after they overwhelmed the troops.”
About 19 wounded soldiers were evacuated to Birnin Gwari General Hospital and 271 Nigerian Airforce Medical Center for treatment.
The deceased soldiers were evacuated to the 44 Nigerian Army Reference Hospital Kaduna (44 NARHK) in Kaduna, salemgists learnt.
Unknown gunmen strike again in Imo as they set on fire the secretariat of Orsu Local Government Area on Sunday, April 3.
It was gathered from a resident of the area identified as Chibuzo Ukah, that the attack, which happened around 2:30am might be the handwork of the gunmen troubling communities within the South East.
However, in a video sighted by salemgists, a voice was heard at the background praising the unknown gunmen for the action.
The voice said the unknown gunmen are sponsored by politicians and they won’t stop until the leader of the Indigenous People Of Biafra, IPOB, Nnamdi Kanu is released from detention.
The person speaking in the video further said they want the country to be divided, they are Biafrans and not Nigerians.

The Inspector-General of Police, IGP Usman Alkali Baba, psc (+), NPM, fdc, has ordered the posting of DIG Johnson Babatunde Kokumo, psc(+). mni, to Force Criminal Investigations Department (FCID) as the new Deputy Inspector-General of Police in charge of the Department.
DIG Johnson Babatunde Kokumo, was appointed to the Nigeria Police Force as a Cadet Assistant Superintendent of Police in 1988. He holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Sociology from the University of Maiduguri, Borno State, and a Master’s Degree in Sociology with a specialty in Criminology from the University of Lagos. He has attended several specialized and strategic courses within and outside Nigeria including the Forensic Science and Application of Forensic and DNA Skills Course at the University of Benin. He was equally a member of Senior Executive Course 41, 2019, National Institute for Policy and Strategic Studies (NIPSS), Kuru, Jos, Plateau State.
He has equally served in various operational, investigative and administrative capacities within the Force, some of which include Commanding Officer, 16 Police Mobile Force, Abeokuta; Deputy Commissioner of Police, General Investigations, FCID; Commissioner of Police in both Edo and Osun State Commands, and Assistant Inspector-General of Police, Federal Operations, and the Zone 2 Command, Lagos. 20 people, including women and children who drowned in Guni-Zumba river while fleeing bandits attacks have been buried.
The victims escaped when bandits attacked Guni and Kurgbaku communities of Munya Local Government Area of Niger state but they got drowned while crossing the river to Zumba and Gwada IDP camps through the boat.
The incident occurred on Wednesday morning when bandits simultaneously invaded the two communities, forcing the locals to flee, salemgists learnt.
A final year student of the Federal University of Technology Owerri, FUTO has allegedly taken his own life.
Salemgists gathered that the deceased identified simply as Precious was a student of the department of petroleum Engineering.
Sources at the scene of the incident stated that he was found dead close to his house at Umuchima Ihiagwa in Owerri west Local Government Area of Imo state.
An eyewitness account revealed that Precious died on the evening of Saturday, March 26th.
A bottle of snipper was found along in his room which suggested he might have taken his life using the substance, the eyewitness told salemgists, adding that Precious needed help but nobody came to his rescue.
Angry mob reportedly burnt ‘one chance’ robber to ashes at the Goodluck Jonathan Flyover near Itam Market, along Ikot Ekpene Road in Uyo, Akwa Ibom State.
Salemgists learnt that the robber met his waterloo at about 11:00 am on Friday, March 25 after he seize a woman’s handbag containing cash and other personal belongings.
The victim who boarded a tricycle with the robbers called the attention of people around and angry traders quickly cordoned off the tricycle and captured one of the suspects, while one escaped.
An eyewitness witness account revealed that the captured robber received a lot of beatings before he was set ablaze by the angry traders.
The eyewitness said, “It was around 11:30am from my shop I started hearing people shouting where is the money. I learnt that he and two other members of his gang, a man and woman robbed one woman of her money inside the tricycle and pushed her out inside town.”
“I learnt the woman’s son immediately used another tricycle to pursue them and catch them here at the flyover. Maybe as he refused to return the money they stole those people descended on him. When they were beating him inside his tricycle, I thought they were dragging about transport fare.
“It was when they now set him ablaze inside the tricycle that I decided to find out what actually happened. Even some other commercial tricycle and Mini Bus operators stopped at the Flyover and joined hand to beat him up.
“He was set ablaze inside his Keke Napep, but he later jumped out. But two other members of his gang, a man and woman succeeded to run away. In fact we saw the lady run pass in front of our shop, then we didn’t know what happened, we would have caught her.”
The development was confirmed in a statement by the State Commissioner of Police, CP Amiengheme Andrew.
He warned against jungle justice on criminal suspects in the state, adding that, “Jungle justice has no place in law because nobody has any right to take another man’s life”, he warned and enjoined the civil society to always hand over criminal suspects to security agencies for diligent prosecution.”
Police in Adamawa state apprehend a suspected drug dealer who disguised as an electrician and hide drugs inside a sound speaker.
It was gathered that suspect was arrested alongside a fake operative of the National Drugs Law Enforcement Agency, NDLEA.
The arrest is confirmed in a statement released by the spokesperson for the state police command, DSP Suleiman Nguroje.
According to him, the men identified as Kalbiru Muhammed, 41, and Musa Abubakar, 29, were arrested while on their way to deliver the hard drugs found on them to their target in Yola.
Nguroje further narrated that the drugs were concealed in a led Tv carton and a sound system (speaker) box to beat security checks and escape arrest.
But the suspects met their Waterloo after they were noticed and arrested, Nguroje said, adding that the arrested drug dealer and his collaborators will be properly investigated and prosecuted accordingly.
