As a woman is it proper to hand over a house you built while you were single or house which you inherited from your parents to your husband?

I have heard cases of some men who expected women to change the name on the title documents of such properties.

Is this right? Is this logical?

No, it's not right, if it happens he might have used Jazz on her. It's not normal to change ownership of your property to a spouse unless one has been brain washed. If she has kids it's even a worse decision. I feel such men actually use things on such women. However, if both are married and acquire such properties together then both of their names should be in the title documents or shared as agreed

Don't you think this has a lot to do with society constantly telling women that good wives have to always pray for their husbands and their families while putting no such pressure on men.

You've said it yourself countless times that people are a product of how they raised amongst other things. And the reality is that most Nigerian girls today are taught these values from a young age. They're taught these things implicitly and explicitly and the ones who mange to break free from these shackles are refered to as 'not normal' or 'not average' by a lot of men here. My point is that it's not fair to place such generalizations on women when they're constantly getting the short end of the stick. We can't conclusively tell if women are actually like that or they're made by society to be like that- I'll vote for the later though.

Some people think they're smart until someone smarter comes into the picture, you have done well

I am not the lazy type, I work hard to cater for my family, I am a federal worker and still didn't relent on that, a level 8 officer.....that was the statement that got me vexed, despite my hard work?

It's good know that you work but if you're generous with her and your kid she won't insist that you should hustle for more. I don't want to believe that she's a wicked person as you paint her to be. It's because you're not giving enough and she's probably finding it hard to continue keeping quiet. Most women want their husbands around the house not outdoors all the time unless he's not doing enough financially. Let her also work to cater for her needs too but if you're the stingy type also try adjusting. Stop cautioning with your hands, she's not a Goat

Lockdown wahala. People can't hide their true colors for long as there's no where to go. My advice to this lady, wait until he's sleeping, ground that black beans that itches body, mix with Cameroon pepper, mix with oil use to rub his body and lock him in. Meanwhile pack from the house before he kills you

Family / Re: Why Don't Husbands Have Issues With Their Father In Laws? by travelland(f): 10:42am On May 12, 2020
It's because Fathers are not usually emotionally possessive of their children. If you meet a father in law with such nature there will be problem. Whereas more mothers are emotionally possessive, they can't stand the idea of letting go of their possession to another wwoman so they tend to manipulate and cause trouble for the new wife. If you meet a mother in law, who has got her life going, has things that keep her busy and a spouse or companion she is happily sharing life with, she won't have time for such things

Africa is the least hit from this pandemic so why should we be the sacrificial lambs? This is a clear case of "Awuf de run belle". Same thing happened during Spanish flu era. When they noticed that Africa wasn't affected, they released another strain of the virus that began to kill thousands of people. It's because we have continued to collect aid from White supremists like street beggars, any time they want to use and dump us, we cannot say no. Our leaders are useless!!!

Thank God you did not agree to getting married to her son.

If not the son will still claim ownership of the property they have sold through marriage.
He will suggest his name and yours to be on the new certificate of occupancy.

I want to believe that the marriage suggestion was the idea of the son.

Don't mix business or Investment with pleasure.

This doesn't make sense, he has no automatic claim to her property through marriage

I feel ashamed to use the word "low IQ" but watching my son been pushed around can be heartbreaking. He does not even have a mind of his own most times. I really need him to be tougher and I thought a military school will mould him. A secondary school

He didn't fall from a Tree, it's either you or your husband who passed on those traits to him. Enroll him in a very good school. You can also help him discover his talent, focus on it and he will gradually develop confidence in himself
