Who else noticed If you look clean and dress well In Lagos nowadays. Some Ignorant people would think you are a Yahoo Boy.

So today I was waiting for my Uber Ride few distance away from my Firm. Suddenly a guy who was passing by started chanting and singing Yahoo Boy, Yahoo boy and so on. I couldn't hear the other words he said clearly because I was putting on earpods.

He even turned his head and look towards me as he walked away. I was Just smiling throughout

In my mind, I was like look at this one, He thought I was a Yahoo Boy. Someone can't look clean and dress Posh In peace again.

I hope my story will motivate someone to take charge of their life.
I lost my job last year July, and so a friend of mine introduce me to a poultry farm where I am earning 22k per month.

A man with wife and two kids o, my wife was not happy with the job even though she has been supportive in her own little way. And then, she suggested that I should learn handwork, and so I decided to learn welder.

On getting to the man, he told me I will spend 2 years o, I will pay 70k to learn from him. Me way I no get even 20k, I begged him to collect 50k and he agreed.

Then he asked me to make part payment of 30k. I went home and told my wife, and then she gave me 20k to give to the man. I gave the man 20k and he collected it, to my greatest surprise within 2 months I started doing the welding job perfectly.

On my own, I have paid up the remaining 30k with small small repairs job he allowed me to be doing for people. And by God's grace, I have started saving up for my tools.

I really thank my wife for the advice and the welder too. The man has been a tremendous blessing to me in many way. He even told me yesterday that with the look of things I may be free from him in 2 months time except I decided to still remain with him for a while.

Please take charge of your life and stop depending on people for survival.

Truth be told.

In a Nation like Nigeria. Salary Jobs Is now Stale.

The best way to go now Is to learn Skills that are In demand or Start a Viable Business. Someone will never regret doing So. I can't emphasize this enough.

Nigeria Is a Fertile Ground and there are still so many Untapped Opportunities.

I personally have a feeling that, important informations may sometimes be viewed or recieved with sentiment if it's identified with a particular gender as the source. I may be wrong, but personally, I've seen that happen with me a few times. Not that I take the information more or less seriously based on the gender, no, but there's the tendency to feel that this information may not apply to me because I'm of a different gender from the informant, or that the worldview of the informant is different from mine, so therefore the information may not apply as such.

To that extent I personally prefer to remain gender anonymous here as much as possible, so my contributions can be seen with as little gender bias as possible .

However, I can assure you that you're most probably right with your guess about my gender 😂.

Like I stated earlier, HSPs are amazingly similar. I share all the traits you mentioned. First, I am not materialistic just like you, and I've always been this way for as long as I can remember. I however fear poverty, because I don't know about you, but I don't know how to ask for help from others, in fact I rarely ever do if at all. It's not about pride, but I guess I just don't want to bother anyone. Usually, I'll pay to get whatever help I need whenever possible. Sometimes I go to great lengths to discover solutions myself rather than bother anybody. This ofcourse does not include close family members. I have no problems asking for help from immediate family members, but even that is done with due consideration.

Yes, so as far as material things are concerned, HSPs seem to put them in perspective. We know there true value; that they are transcient at best. We are able to examine the lives of others who have attained wealth, and often we can see through the glamour; we can see that although money is good and necessary, a lot of it doesn't necessarily translate to a happier life. I'll give you an example; often when most people think of relocating from Nigeria, their biggest concern is where they can make big money, but I for my part, if I must leave, although I don't wish to, my concern has always been about the environment and nature. I'll not want to relocate to hustling and bustling city, I'd rather prefer a place that is quite, peaceful, good weather, and cheap economically . But that's just me, the choice may be different for others and that's fine too.

And just like you, I value intelligence greatly too. In fact, I love intelligent people. Because we love to learn, HSPs are drawn to intelligent people. I have this principle, if I have to go anywhere, I always base my decision on what and if I'm going to learn anything enriching there, otherwise its always hard for me to go. And by the way, HSPs are naturally very intelligent people, so no surprise we are drawn to intelligent people. But don't get me wrong, sometimes I go to places I don't necessarily enjoy, but just to make others happy. I don't like crowds you know

I'm an hsp but will love to be less sensitive cause some people do take advantage of one,I easily forgive and I don't like that,I don't know why I keep putting myself in people's shoes it makes me feel hurt,I want to be selfish,I actually wish I was less sensitive.Its like I feel different energies all at once, honestly it feels exhausting.

Lol I perfectly understand you because I have been there. The good thing about me Is I have Evolved. You need to Pick Up Some Books, Read About and Research on Human Nature like your life depends on It. Visit Different Places, Meet People and Experience Real Life Experiences.

It took me Donkey Years too before I eventually discovered Human True Nature and Many classified Informations I have an Insight Into now.

But With Regards to the Fragile Part, You are right on that too. As for me, I used to be Fragile. To buttress my Epistle, I have this Babie Facial look which some people tend to tease me with like "Hey Babie Face"😂

But due to Some Unanticipated Circumstances which resulted to Bad Experience. I had to develop A Very Thick Skin. Although I still have my Good Heart Intact which nothing will ever Change. But my Antennas are always at Alert now most especially when I'm around Strangers. I will always keep being myself Regardless of Some Situations I have gone through In life.

Since my Childhood days, I have always known who I am. I have always known there Is something special about me. I'm the Most Intelligent among my Family Members. How I wish I could go Into details but this will do lol. I keep learning so much about Life and Myself as I continue to grow. Knowing and discovering more about myself was the reason why I choose this Monicker Treassured.
