Bought a house at Onigbongbo last May. Then came for a complete renovation/make over of the property in September. As the workers started braking parts of the building to make way for its new design.
I got a call from my workers that some women and a few men came to stop them.
I asked who they're and they told me that they (the i.diots) said, they are the original owners of the land. I then sort to speak with anyone of them. They refused to talk with me on phone and requested that i come down there and speak with them directly.
However, i heard their voices at the background saying that i bought only the house but not the land. Can you imagine the nonsense?
I got in touch with my lawyer and friend who immediately set to go there.
When he got there acompanied by two policemen, some of them took to their heels while a few remained. The ones that stayed back reitarated their shameful demands that i must compensate them for the land which the building is sitting on. The even more annoying thing is that the youngest of them couldn't have been anything less than 45yrs old and they are still refering to themselves as "omo". Sighs!
