Politics / Re: Farouk Lawan Released On Bail by Tropilo(m): 5:38pm On Jun 17, 2012 |
If what i'm reading here is actually what many of us believe, then this country can never ever be any better than this. Its disheartening that the youths who are supposed to tinker Nigeria to a brighter future are more interested in its present status. Some argue in favour of a roguish law-maker. Others in favour of a sleazy scoundrel businessman who enjoys the ears and patronage of a politically insincere executive. Its a pity! |
Politics / Re: Reps Suspend Lawan, Order Anti-graft Agencies To Investigate Otedola’s Firm by Tropilo(m): 11:49am On Jun 16, 2012 |
gbadexy: These legislators can fit behave childishly. I pity for otedola because they will so show him. Childish? Its called, war of attrition! Otedola is the Presidents friend and used his agency against one of their own when you know you are not clean as a big "player". Besides, they are NOT investigating him, but asked the appropriate agency also headed by the President (Otedola's bossom friend) to investigate him. That's maturity to me! |
Politics / Re: LIVE: Special House Of Reps Session On Bribery Scandal by Tropilo(m): 5:03pm On Jun 15, 2012 |
omosexy1: The House of Reps constitutes committee of the whole to reconsider involvement of Otedola's company in fuel subsidy scam. Isn't that the right thing or you just want them to throw the baby with the bath water. Its important to get to the root of the bribery issue. The committee indicted Otedola's firms for requesting and getting about $253m and did not use it for what the firms asked for. Isn't that fraud. If its true? Let's try and be fair to all parties. Agreed Lawan messed himself up, but Otedola's firms should go under forensic search light. |

Old Roger, has his records, i doubt if those records can be erased or equalled in the next 20yrs. His skills are still there but his agility is doubtful. 2ndly, he appears to have this "complex" thing again Rafa and Nova. Even when he has them to the ropes, they riggle out somehow. I believe its the age acting up. He tries not to betray his emotions when he is under pressure, but when you notice him wiping his mouth more often with his sweat band (thats it), he is choking! He's been the best player ever, anyway. I like him very much maybe cos his mum is African (sentiments). 1 Like |

Bros, like i said "some other considerations" may have induced his choice of forms. I am not a Winners member neither am i close to the Bishop to know why he may have chosen his form. I was only just defending the professional aspect as he's also a trained Architect. |

~Bluetooth: MKO is the symbol of June 12, the Unilag change is ideal. Besides, Abiola worked in Unilag in the sixties. I think they should try with some legislative "mago-mago", replace him with Shonekan as an ex-President (swear him in post-humously). Shonekan does not in anyway or manner deserve to be listed at all. (PAINS ME ITS IMPOSSIBLE!) |

likemic: may God have mercy on d bastard dat made dis post. Jobless fool My dear brother, its not Christ-like to curse or to use derogatory language. As Christians we must brittle our tongues. You will sound better when you bless and even pray for the person(s) with opposing views. Check with JESUS' words and life-style always. That's what makes us true followers of JESUS the Christ. Not the church building or denomination we belong. @OP: In any architectural design. The Architect usually has a guiding principles he follows. Which are form, functionality and aesthetics (FFA). The land size or shape can conform him/her into a particular sharp or form choice. Since we can not say this of these Winners buildings as they have a large expanse to work with. It could be adduced that other considerations may/must have informed his choice of form. It does not have to be what you have in mind or insinuating. |
Travel / Re: What Is The Most Dangerous Airline In Nigeria? by Tropilo(m): 8:47pm On Jun 04, 2012 |

Or you people deviced a plan that if they catch any of you bombers just claim a Christian name or tell them that you are from Ogbomosho in Osun State or Calabar in Enugu state. bigcycs: Interesting thread, most helpful! My bro, i don't leave in the Arab world but have gone to Doha a few times for product training (refresher). Truth is the Arab people favour the Arabs first cos they are an extremely racially inclined people. If you are white, you have a huge advantage but they have this "look-down" attitude on blacks from Africa. If you are lucky you could get to work in one of the many whites owned firms who respect you on what-you-can-do basis and not the color of your skin. You will have serious advantage of you have your NSE/COREN. 1 Like |

tuniski: Pls oh I am to study Msc in LSBF uk and already has Bsc in finance and ACCA. What are my chances of a job to beef CV and reduce cost? You stand a very good chance. If you have a Nigerian bachelor's its wiser to do your "post" here in Britain. The mistake many Nigerians make is flocking and flooding London cos of "life". There you get drowned in the crowd. There are other cities begging for professionals but are either not exploited or just plainly ignored. (Last line)No matter what, please keep your family close cos you are part of it. If someone else's family are no good does not mean yours is or will be. 4 Likes 1 Share |
Foreign Affairs / Re: Malawi's President Sells Presidential Jet And 60 Mercedes Limousines by Tropilo(m): 8:51am On Jun 02, 2012 |
santakris: I still dey laugh. U people have not seen anything yet. Very soon now u will see president retardeen in a convoy of predential jets in the space. Who says its not possible. Left to some people the president should be jumping molue or danfo just because he is a certain Jonathan. Forgetting the fact that, that Jonathan is Mr. President of Nigeria and Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of the Federal REPUBLIC of Nigeria. Not the republc of "begging" Malawi or the republic of "dependant" Lesotho. |
Foreign Affairs / Re: Malawi's President Sells Presidential Jet And 60 Mercedes Limousines by Tropilo(m): 8:28am On Jun 02, 2012 |
BlackBaron: Meanwhile, our President uses a convoy of 22 armoured mercedes cars, travels in various Presidential jets and has sole use of 1 of the airforce's C-130 to ferry his cars whenever on a visit to other African states. Its not a presidency problem alone. Its a Nigerian problem. If you're employed in a big firm in Nigeria you'll understand these things. For instance, try and find out how many fleet of cars is on the hold of the MD of Nigerian Bottling Company all maintained by the coy as compared a similar office of his British counterpart. You will find a minimum of no less than 10 cars under the Nigerian MD's hold while this British counterpart will may have none. The cost of production for a bottle of coke in Nigeria from mixture to distribution is just about N11/bottle, but i think it goes for N80/bottle of 50cl. The customer pays for the remaining N69 to maintain the life styles of the MD, Directors and senior management. Hence the high cost of living in Nigeria, and thats how it goes with other coys and even worse the public corporations. |

Politics / Re: Raufach Edgar Kidnapped German Dies In Botched Rescue Operation In Kano by Tropilo(m): 7:56pm On May 31, 2012 |
aminu150: how on earth wil u go to rescue a person wit heavy weapons and armored cars...the JTF killed this foreigner because they opened fire at the house for upto 2hrs killing both those in the house and some innocent neighbours. If those of you who leave in these terror enclaves up North can provide adequate information for the authorities to act, all this nonsense will cease. But must of you are either tacitly or vicarously in support of these criminal happenings. Its only when the authorities act with the little info they have, you all open your mouths to claim innocent people were killed. From the way you people talk and behave, its very difficult to believe you all are not in it together. |
