I don't think such lengthy contract is a good idea
Lol what do you know about football. He should be one demanding the lengthy contract even. It gets him more settled with assured wages by contract. And if a club comes for him he can always still move if he and the club agrees to the move

This is so much worrying. How did we get to this level. Over sixteen years of education and I can't believe those young adults just walked out to part with their 500k. Over 1000 dollars...why would a god demand you to make such sacrifice for you to have a life. There is so much poverty and sickness down this part of the world as it is already. Is that not enough for a "loving God" to be worried about.... Am sick and tired of these mortal men fronting as mouthpieces of a god and robbing us blind in broad daylight. This is the worst form of fraud. I truly weep for this continent. Africa is indeed the dark continent cry cry

How do people manage to keep up with their faith in the midst of all this and still forbid themselves and every one else not to probe ? Really beats me. How do people live with lying to themselves in this part of the continent really. Frankly a lot of terrible things coming out from our religious houses which ought to stand as pillars of moral beacon is becoming tolerably normal to me I swear

Naija!

Something is wrong with this mentality of seeing everything from a religious perspective.

In how many developed countries of the world will this kind of picture trend?

But when governance has failed, people tend to become more religious.

Yet there is little or nothing in the conduct of Nigerians to show the effects of their millions of pastors on their behaviour, integrity or empathy.

No surprise though. Naija pastors are miracle hawkers, fear mongers and churchpreneurs!

Yes he ought to be investigated like a million of them. But this is selective prosecution as usual. Its just purely political vilification as we have come to know with our government over the years so it defeats the purpose. Using the institutions of government as a tool of political warfare....There can't be anything worse.

Fixed deposit is not same as Government Bonds.. It been severally adviced here that once you stumble on this thread, the best thing to do is to read from the beginning at least covering the first 20pages would give enough knowledge that you will not need to ask some certain questions.. Once you do otherwise and start asking based on what you read from the page you met it. People that have read through that place/knowledgeable enough may not be around to respond to you.

Fixed deposit is a financial instrument provided by banks that give investors higher interest than the regular savings account.

For fixed deposit the tenure is determined by the customer/investor. You tell the bank how many days you want to fix and once the rate is agreed there fixed in some banks another account is created and money moved there you will see but can't touch or withdraw while in other banks the said amount will be deducted till it matures before it is returned back.

Fixed deposit interest is subject to 10% Tax charge

The interest accrued on Fixed deposit is only gotten after the investment matures....

All these are not the same with both government bonds

For more knowledge or info on bond read thread the thread below.

https://www.dmo.gov.ng/fgn-bonds

Thank you. I've always known they were different. Just that Namz confused me a bit with some explanation earlier And its not such a bad thing to want to know better.

Nnamz:
And if you threw in fixed deposit to the equation, the one that Zenith Bank likes to convince their customers to go for (DON'T EVER FALL FOR THIS. IN FACT, AVOID ZENITH BANK WHEN IT COMES TO INVESTMENTS!!!!), fixed deposit will debit you the full amount, and credit you back , at maturity, that full amount PLUS the interest.

So in summary, bonds take the full principal, spread the interest over the tenure, and pays back the full principal at maturity. Tbs gives you interest upfront, and credits you the full principal. Fixed deposit takes all the principal, credits you NOTHING until maturity when you get both the principal and interest all at once.

Thank you. In other words fixed deposit is same as government bond. And at 18% percent per annum. Is the rate that high?

You guys are awesome. Have been silently following for a long time. Please pardon my ignorance. Can someone tell me the difference between the primary and secondary markets. And the different institutions that offer them please. Just want clarity. And again what's the difference between the government bond and Tbills. Can they be acquired same way?

Please tell me the contribution of the Church in your own neighborhood, if I ask you Nigeria it's too far. Stop deceiving yourself modern day Christianity is all about the pastors getting richer from the sweat of the members and being worshipped by the same gullible people and lying to them that God will bless you if you give to the pastor and if you don't give you go to hell. What kind of contribution is that when they probably give out 5% of all they have fleeced from their unsuspecting victims and keep the rest 95%. You know if you know
Why are you even responding to that M0R0N

And for anyone at all making any sort of defence for these murdering savages....if you can afford to stomach the the gory sights of helpless women and little children gutted by these savages, then you're as much a murderer yourself if not worse. And Maybe its about time you looked in the mirror.

I've been living in the USA for the past 7 years.

Fact is Nigeria is not that bad. Only that Nigerian citizens are very greedy and are never satisfied. If you go to countries like Zimbabwe, Uganda, Tanzania, Bangladesh, India, phillipines , the favelas of brazil etc , you'll see people living in squalor and abject poverty. So why complain when you're in a better situation? You complain of boko haram its worse with the Isis and Taliban of Pakistan and Afghanistan. You complain of kidnapping its worse with the pirates and marauders of somalia. You complain of poor electricity it's worse in countries like Senegal and Mozambique. You complain of crime its worse in countries like south Africa.
Una wahala too much infact wetin una want sef.

Instead of you to think of ways to develop your country you're here complaining . The same complain you dey complain for 1975 na still the same complaint in 2018. No new complaint other than bad governance , light, water , no money etc.
Your government have tried their best. They can't kill themselves. Not even Buhari. At least you go pity his old age.
"Your country"...? How condescending. Why did you leave if the government was giving her best. Why didn't you stay to rebuild it. Imagine this riff raff!

Just like I said once there has never been a better time to be a Nigerian. There is a revolution ongoing right now and it will peak soon enough. We are beginning to question aggressively things we don't understand, things we don't accept both in government and religion which are obviously our two biggest problem. A Nation can only develop when the populace are bold and free enough to challenge common societal conventions

Muric and its sudden rise to a Taliban/al shabab/al Qa'ida/Hezbollah kinda system of communication should be something of worry. Having to threaten Nigerians with ultimatums and explicit violence shows you the level of ambition of Islam. A Yoruba Muslim is their head and that's a pointer to how screwed up your head can get with anything tainted with Islam.

Vote in Kingsley mogahlu for President. A former CBN deputy Governor. That much tells you his level of intellectualism and experience with issues of economy. His been doing country wide campaign. He has the aura and personality of a President as well. Its time to vote out mediocrity, deceit, incompetence, sectionalism out of power. Like his page on Facebook via his name above.
