The CHAN Eagles go again today. Would this be another horror movie or would they surprise and disappoint us all with a solid performance?
They should beat Sudan easily.

Majority of nigerian players don't have good agents. Especially the home grown tslents. Their agents might be horrible sor hungry people only interested in money or simply incompetent. A player like this should at least get a chance in an average team in a top 5 league. Even if its a newly promoted team.

Actually, I think it was rohr that stopped the tendency of our players of going to obscure leagues. He had this habit of not inviting a player to the national team if he was not in a decent league. This made the players to brush up and at least try their best. I used to criticise rohr for this but now I understand why. If they are given the chance nigerisn okayers can pksy in Kazakhstan or Lithuania. The low mentality they have is something that baffles me. Some don't even try to get into better leagues. Any thing that shows interest they listen. I don't know why
Abeg no too loud am ooo. If you too talk now dem go say you want Rohr to come back. If na Rohr time non of these players will venture near Turkey.

If they make mistake and get to the finals, they're winning it 8-9 times out of 10. It's very clear now that Morocco are desperate for an African title.

Any team that is going to face them in the finals will have to be at the top of their game and coordinate themselves like a well-oiled machine.
Morocco no go even pass quarterfinal next wafcon.

He can't just left cuz last season he was battling injury and very difficult for him to attract any team, except Reggiana but nothing concrete as at now.

I was with him weeks ago I want to tell you that he was in dilemma cuz it was like Milan are not ready to renew his contract, likely Reggiana next available option until Milan offered him two years contract,so it was a big relief.....I just hope he convinced Milan in the next 6 months and attracted Seria B teams for loaning to get needed attention like Akinsanmiro did with Sampdoria.

Good to have promising young lads especially midfielders doing it in big clubs, hopefully Akinsanmiro gets more attention playing in Seria A and Eletu moves for loan than Seria D or getting few appearances for AC Milan this season.
We hope for the best for him. Not easy out there for players.

It isn't always about coaching... the player's technique also matters... At the WAFCON, aside Esther, other players like Ijamilusi, Ordega, Payne, Babajide and I think Plumptree also took set pieces... Only Esther and Babajide's set pieces resulted in goals....
IMO, not many players in the SE have good set pieces technique.... Simon has been taking set pieces for the team since god knows when and not up to 5 have resulted in goals
My brother, I am not talking from the position of the taker of the set piece. I am talking from the position of the coordination. The super falcons moved as one unit and beat the offside trap on almost all occasions. That is evidence of good coaching. That’s what I am advocating for in the SE.
SportsRe: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2027, 2028 And 2030 World Cup by Truidstarr:
Whoever was the Super Falcons set piece coach should be drafted to assist Eric Chelle. The long balls were timed to perfection while beating the offside trap.

Just in:

President Bola Tinubu has announced a cash reward of $100,000 to each Super Falcons player who represented Nigeria at the just concluded 2025 WAFCON tournament in Morocco.

In addition, each player will also get a three-bedroom apartment at the Renewed Hope Housing estate in Abuja, and they will also be conferred with National Awards, receiving an OON (Order of the Officer of the Niger).

This figure seems outrageous but if true I'm very happy for the girls. I however think focus should be on development and not gestures like these that ultimately adds nothing to our growth.
My brother I don't know what is outrageous about this. They deserve every penny. When Buhari was president and Solomon Dalung was Sports minister, recall the international embarrassment of the Super Falcons after winning the trophy; carrying placards in protest over unpaid allowances. This gesture is an inspiration to young girls who want to follow in their footsteps. This is commendable from this administration.

Something seems to be wrong with this CAF president,

Not even his own country, but Morroco, and 3times in a role, what is he not saying, cos I know very well it's not Only Morroco that had the infrastructure to host the AWFCON
They are co-host of the 2030 World cup with 2 other European nations. It is to keep their facilities busy and also test run what it will be like to host big events. Recall they are to host the Afcon in December this year.
