Chelle fancies Simon
Simon is definitely starting
line up based on reports he likes to play 2 strikers. One winger has to be sacrificed. It’s not about liking a player.

as we we are working on set pieces let us also strive hard to defend set pieces…only south africa score us in the run of play..others use set pieces to shut us up
Nig 1-1 Lesotho (lesotho scored via corner kick uzoho was the keeper)

Zim 1-1 Nigeria (Zim scored via free kick, uzoho was the keeper)

Ben 2-1 Nigeria (Ben scored the winning goal via corner kick, Nwabali was the keeper)
our defenders need to watchout for set pieces…cos it is what is keeping us in the 5th position till today
That will change after these two matches. We should be second on the table.
SportsRe: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2027, 2028 And 2030 World Cup by Truidstarr: 10:10am On Mar 19, 2025
I hope Eric Chelle and his assistants are working on set pieces. We get an average of 16.5 set pieces per game ( corners and free kicks combined) we have not converted any in our last 5 matches.

Have you watched Ndidi lately?

Strongest lineup against RWA:

(4-2-1-3)

Nwabali

Aina_ Ekong_ Bassey_ Bruno

Ndidi_ Onyedika

Iwobi

Simon_ Osimhen_ Lookman

Though, Simon plays best on the left wing but Lookman a more dangerous player occupies the spot.

Chkwueze should have been best for the right for his impressive left foot but too unreliable and inconsistent. So Simon- a far better option.
dem say Chelle like to play with 2 strikers. This line up no gel.

Interactions with Northerners both on the internet and in real life. For a long time, they have felt underrepresented in the national teams and most of them are deeply pained about this. They feel Southerners and Christians are cheating them in this regard.

Now that a Northern Muslim is at the helm of the NFF, we can expect more "quota lists" in future.
Or on the hand... It might be on technical grounds or the coach decided to go with players that fit his style of play he wants to implement. Thought of that?

It's clearly a quota thing. Northerners are really pushing for more representation in the SE by all means.
Wonderful...based on what facts please?

Ahhhh noooo.... we are certainly fine without Frank the Tank. To be fair, even Alhassan Yusuf had a top midfield performance earlier this morning in the MLS. He comes into the squad in fine form as well.

Personally, I am of the opinion that Frank should have made the squad but then we are still fine without him.

A midfield having Ndidi, Onyedika, Alhassan and Iwobi has a fairly decent mix of steel, brawn and brains.

Aribo and Papa Daniel as extras could also prove useful if they bring their A Game but Uche and Onyeka would have been extra quality step-ups in terms of power (Uche & Onyeka), steel (Uche & Onyeka), agility (Uche & Onyeka), intensity (Uche & Onyeka), High end technicality (Uche) and lasting endurance (Onyeka).

But we are still fine without Onyeka for now. That is the truth.

So with your theory these players shouldn't be called up too right?

Pls is Frank Onyenka injured
No. Onyeka plays week in week out for Augsburg. The coach has his reasons for his selection. All we can do is wish the team the best. Guess he did not want to upset the team balance with too many new faces. They have just at most 2 to 3 training sessions before the game against Rwanda. All those who missed out, their time will come.

Going by form,Osimhen,Dessers and Arokodare but on pedigree Boniface should make the list,Sadiq making it look slim but going by very recent goals scoring he can make it,fact we have only one proven scorer in Victor Osimhen talking eagles,so others na dem dem apart from Arokodare who is yet to feature
E go hard for Arokodare, similar to Onuachu and Simi Nwankwo in playing style.

🚨The Nigerian Sports Commission (NSC)🇳🇬 has given full support to the Nigeria Football Federation(NFF)🇳🇬 in their pursuit of Arsenal Star Ethan Nwaneri.
According to a close family member, the youngster will play for whoever approaches him first between England and Nigeria 🇳🇬.
Although he has already represented England in the youth level, he still remains eligible to represent Nigeria as he is yet to be capped by the Three Lions.

Chrisantus Uche’s call up for me is the most significant. Will greatly bolster our midfield dominance. Iheanacho and Alhassan Yussuf have no business in this team.

Get your facts right or keep quiet sometimes:

Maehle, Demiral, Castagne, Papu Gomez

Four players at the prime of their career called him out for running a dictatorship. They didn't even wait till the end of their career.

And notice the trend only the non-Italians have the balls to come out, the Italian players who are the majority of Serie A are probably too scared to talk.

"Resolved amicably." You think as quiet as Lookman is he didn't know the club or coach will not tender an apology first before releasing this statement.
Get your brain in gear and read my post again. Stop wailing more than the bereaved.
