TheSuperNerd: Cool10 obviously thinks na him don fight for Dessers pass for here not knowing it all began with you. He doesn't know of your #InviteCyrielDessers Campaign running then in the days of Rohr.
I even named you president of the Cyriel Dessers club.😂😂😂
Anyway, his Dessers argument is valid coz Boniface we keep inviting haven't scored once in 11 caps. You are spot on bro. I no follow am fight. I just dey remind am we are on the same side. But I am not as passionate as he is on the matter. |

COOL10: How many strikers have clicked for the Super Eagles apart from Osimhen and Iheanacho? Bro, I don't where you were when I made the initial comparisons but in case you missed it, here's the updated list:
Sadiq Umar has 1 goal in 12 matches for the Super Eagles.
Paul Onuachu has 3 goals in 25 matches for the Super Eagles.
Awoniyi has 2 goals in 10 matches for the Super Eagles.
Boniface has 1 goal in 11 matches for the Super Eagles.
Cyriel Dessers has 2 goals in 6 matches for the Super Eagles and those 2 goals came from 2 starts. 1 against Mexico and another against Ghana( 2 teams that are not easy to score against).
As you can see, Dessers has a better goal per game ratio for the Super Eagles than most, if not all of the strikers I mentioned above apart from Osimhen and Iheanacho, yet they keep getting multiple invites ahead of him.
Dessers is one of the few Nigerian players who decided to play for us despite the fact that he could have easily played for the country of his birth/naturalization. The other players I can think of are Iwobi, Victor Moses and perhaps Lookman.
As at the time Dessers decided to play for us, the only Belgian striker that had a better goal scoring record than him was Lukaku. Every other Belgian striker was beneath Dessers. Even Lois Openda was nowhere to be found. I made the comparisons on this thread some years back.
If Dessers decides to play for Belgium tomorrow, he's walking into that team WITH EASE, especially now that Openda isn't performing well, but I know he won't because he loves Nigeria so much. 😂😂😂😂 Brother!!! E be like say u new for here. Ask them ooo. I was the first and only person who clamored for Dessers even before the 2018 World Cup. Cause I knew Ighalo was not it at that time. When it comes to Dessers you just dey start for the matter. |

TheSuperNerd: To be fair, Dessers has more Super Eagles goals than Boniface and in lesser caps too. Just saying.
Anyway, all of the striking backups hasn't exactly impressed much in the GWG. True. |

COOL10: Lol, there's too much favouritism and godfatherism in the current NFF setup for that to happen. Dessers doesn't have a godfather in the NFF, so his continuous exclusion from the team is not surprising to me. It doesn't even help matters that it's his mother, and not his father that's a Nigerian, but that's a topic for another day 😄.
I don't even want him to be called up now. Let Eguavoen go ahead with the usual suspects to the WC Qualifiers, so that if eventually he fails to qualify us for the World Cup, he'll know the people to hold responsible. There'll be no Dessers for anybody to blame for their failures. Eguavoen will not be in charge by January. Dessers is my man...but he has not really clicked for the SE. |

BankyGee: You're just swaying off topic.
They might not get out of their group, that's football for you bro, Senegal seff no pass Round of 16 for last AFCON, we too didn't pass Round of 16 at the 2021 AFCON, don't make it look like na top 5 league players dey win AFCON. DR Congo and South Africa wey reach semifinals of the AFCON no be top 5 leagues carry them reach there.
I'm not against top 5 league players and I'm not clamouring for any player from below top 5 leagues, but the ideolgy of "it must be top 5 league players in the national team" is a wack ideology, very wack.
The Morocco with that squad still performed better than any African country in history on the fkkking biggest stage, and did it in style. They didn't concede a single goal till the semifinals (penalty shootout included). The only goal they conceded against Canada was an own goal. That's a good team for you. The England, Spain, Germany, France and Italy of this planet, where do they get their players from. Make we no too argue…. It’s not a players problem. It’s a coaching problem. |

The same people clamoring for every Tom Dick and Harry to be invited irrespective of where dey play are the same people that will disappear when it becomes a disaster. Those who have trained and worked their asses off to get to the top 5 leagues should be tossed aside for those who are playing for get retirement money. Una well done. |
Sports › Re: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2027, 2028 And 2030 World Cup by Truidstarr: 8:55pm On Nov 29, 2024 |
BankyGee: That's exactly what's killing our squad, Morocco don't have a world-class "squad" but have players that suits whatever playing profile they need and that's what makes them a solid "team"...
We're... No, most people here are all about "top 5 leagues" and not all the top 5 leagues players are performing for us in the national team, make una dey play. National team is not club side, you need the best in any position from whatever club he plays for to form your good national team side, as far as he go deliver.
Morocco strikers; Soufiane Rahimi - Al Ain (Dubai) El Kaabi - Olympiacos (Greece) Youseff En-Neysri - Fenerbahçe (Turkey)
Midfielders; Amrabat (Fenerbahçe). They have players from Panathinaikos, Al-Ahly, Al-Sadd, Al-Hilal and they're all balling for Morocco.
We... No, most people here dey dey deceive themselves. Or the South Africans that are the second highest scoring team in the AFCON qualifiers are all top 5 leagues players.
Top 5 league players are needed but trying to make players playing in lower leagues seem like toys na just anyhow reasoning. 😂😂😂 Qualifiers and tournaments are a different ball game. This same Morocco you are praising now, might not even get out of their group at the nations cup. Wonder why is that a team you blast 7 goals past in the qualifiers; you struggle to even score one during a tournament? |

So with Nwakali dropping MOTM in League one in his first full game, can order finally be restored and admission come now that Turkey is levels above league one? Gentleman, do we all agree? 😁 Komekn is well known and no be today. No need for the pettiness. |

We're not even talking about Nwabali who lost his dad and may have been mentally off..
Our play was bad yesterday, but we have a solid team that's hard to beat..
It will take something special to beat them When we record our first loss, you'd understand why I said so They had an off day yesterday. No cause for alarm. |
