If not, dont jst start writing what u don't knw. Biafra is not abt oil! Bt creativity which would be harnessed from her ppl. Do you know dat a lot of creative ppl are laying waste in Nigeria because of tribalism. Biafra is abt equal opportunity not som quota system rubbish. Biafra is abt being able to feel free and safe where ever you're in biafraland without being afraid of som regious jihadist spilling ur blood. Do u know dat PRESSID was suspended cos it does not favor the northerns? Do you know that the northerns and their counterpart were against Jonathan policy to make innoson factory a modern one? Do you knw what Aba wld ve been if FG had invested money to explore the technical ingenuity of this ppl? Of course the will not cos is from a certain tribe. A lot of bigotry and tribalism is making Nigeria to be unproductive and comatosed. Go and read ur history very well and the statements made by her founding fathers you will know y nigeria has never functioned well right from the almagamation. There is no natonal consciousness! Nobody believes in Nigeria! The emergency of a country with the full support and consent of her people will bring the much needed national consciousness. They will not like to jeopardize what the fought hard to get, everybody will be willing to work for the betterment of a new nation. United state are great because of this, the fought hard to wrenched themselve from britain and r preserving it with a strong feeling of love for their country. Talking abt natural resources, you're the resources. Biafra can exploit and harness your creative and make you the thomas Edison of our time without being bias. China, japan and usa are great because of the creative expliotation of their citizen not because of som natural resources. Talking abt SS inclusion, referendum will answer that. You can only be recognise by the collective resolve of the people through peaceful agitation. Finaly Biafra is all abt total emancipation. I believe in Biafra more than Nigeria |

At least by that time, we wouldn't have Witches and Wizards endorsing presidential candidates like they did Jonathan anymore.
Baba has my support in this glorious campaign 100%!! Try to be reasonable here, when he is done with fighting corruption and manipulating the judicary so that his party will control most states, there won't be any opposition party again where the masses will fall to checkmate them and i dont see him fighting corruption against his party members. When this is achievied, there will be only one political party, even if you later see them as corrupt, you ve no choice bt to vote for them. If u don't they will still win cos the now ve the system under their control. You will only have an oppostion party when the members of (Apc) not the masses start getting tired of the party due to their selfish interest jst like PDP. The system will keep on moving in cycle and the masses keep suffering. I pity this country. |

However, for efficiency the lease out to private to manage it properly while retainin a major stake in the firm. Most major companies in the united states including Boeing have more than 60% goverment stake. Nigeria leaders, are nt only uncreative bt grossly unproductive. How will govt run factories? Politics › Re: Position Of Nigerian Law For Biafra by TruthisGOD: 12:05pm On Oct 19, 2015 |
BrBakreez: For some time now some of our brothers have been heating up the polity with their plans to secede, most time I sit back to ask if it is a unanimous plan or that of some selfish individuals. My reason is not farfetched from the fact that we have many Igbos who have invested so much in different parts of Nigeria that they cannot afford to lose all that they have laboured for, many at times I strike up conversation with some of these persons and I noticed that some who make argument for Biafra do it out of ignorance while very reasonable elders who are mostly senior lawyers, successful business men all from the eastern part of the country usually rubbish such agitation. They usually inform me that such agitation is just a clamour for recognition by persons who seek for relevance and want to hit the limelight through the backdoor. I was made to realise that Late Ojukwu misled them into the war over issues of ego and political distrust that could have properly been managed if he was sincere, he also used his people as shield when the Nigerian government engaged in a three year manhunt for him before he eventually ran away when the game was almost up. The Nigerian government later let all wounds heal by allowing him and many of his committed foot-soldiers soft landing after three years war in the name of secession. Now let us go back to the issue of Nnamdi Kanu who was alleged to have been arrested in Lagos amidst prostitutes, this man is another national clown who wants to mislead some of his gullible people who do not understand their intrigues. He wants to engage in use and dump tactics so that he would be honoured with a national award and appointment, I was informed the movement have what they call Biafra radio outside the shores of the land. If truly the agitators are serious about their struggle, we expect them to stay and remain in the eastern part, they should let the chains of their resources emanate and/or go down there, all of their material resources should be built there. They should be bold enough to grant interview to Nigerian Television stations across the country, failure of which I will ask us not to take them serious. As far as my little brain can tell me, they will stir up strife and jet out immediately when the real battle is about to begin because all they have is chest beating and no more. Before any man takes up arm in the name of secession or protest over such persons' arrest we need to ask a fundamental question of whether we are not being oppressed by same politicians across the federation who are obstinate about placing a reasonable halt despite the seeming unending agitation. Legally speaking, the clamour for Biafra has no place in our law. The provision of Section 2(1) of 1999 Constitution as Amended states that Nigeria is one indivisible and indissoluble sovereign state to be known by the name of Federal Republic of Nigeria. Subsection 3 of the same Constitution further listed the 36 states with a mandatory word "shall". If the agitators are very serious and want to be civil about it they should lobby to amend that provision and ensuring that the Provision of Section 9 is properly followed so that any exercise therefrom will not be a nullity. There is no point fighting a coward fight like Ojukwu did and trying to appear like a lion whose body is not found but shadows while barking. The issue of secession if to be allowed after such amendment should be by referendum if at all Nigerian government should take them serious. Nigerians have come to stay, we need to think more of development of this country than disintegration so that we can maintain our enviable place as the giant of Africa.
#GodblessNigeria i read your long epistle and i shook my head in disappointment. I pity your type. You think Biafrans are the only people threatening the unity of Nigeria? omonnakoda: Low cut off means they are not faring well? You demonstrate a limited capacity for logic or critical reasoning. You do not ask questions because ,simply, you cannot. It may well be that low cut off reflects poor academic performance but it may reflect other things . e.g that Some prts of the North are not interested in Unity Schools at all. Also you make a sweeping generalization about the"North" while indeed there are huge variations across the north.
Take the legal profession for example. How many states have more lawyers or judges than Kwara? Is it quotas that ensure that we have not had a Chief Judge from the South in a long time? When we receive data we must be sure we have all relevant information before projecting our preconceived prejudices. There are no miracle exam centres in the North like e know there are in Anambra state and they tend not to cheat in common entrance like they do in the south. We know of states where teachers write entrance exams. The issue to me seems to me cultural and more specifically linguistic. In Nigeria we are constrained to educate ourselves in English ,everything else seems impossible and to suggest a primary school curriculum in Igbo or Hausa etc seems sacrilegious. That is exactly what we need to offer. Those who want it can subscribe and those who don't can opt for English tuition. This change has worked a treat in India and Maori. We in the south do not realize what we are losing in blindly embracing English as our FIRST language. Take any typical child from southern Nigeria and tell him to sing a song or tell you a story in his language and he cannot.
The main problem in many parts of Northern Nigeria is not that they are stupid but English. We need to think out of the box to get around this.We in the south feel superior because we are more anglicized. That is a huge error ,we are victims of anglicization because our languages are dying before our eyes. I am sure it will be possible to translate Calculus into Nigerian languages you would ve added this without bein insulting. That dude started without being insulting. Thats shows a level of maturity. U don't intentonaly spill an oil and start cleaning it. |

jayfolarin: Lool.. Dude don't be deceived, Nobody is in darkness! The Igbos have the Nigerian platform readily available to them to flourish in almost anything they are interested in. The only area where Igbos have not had real presence is POLITICS.. And no one else can be blamed for this but Igbo leaders who have refused to be detribalised. No tribe in Nigeria can single-handedly elect the president of her choice, sacrifices and alliances with at least one other populated region is needed to put persons of your choice in power. When Igbos realise and put this into practice, the sky will be their starting point in nigeria's political sphere.
I'v met too many Igbos in person and occasions and I don't see anyone complaining of being maligned or maltreated in the society. If there's anything, it's the other tribes that are being sidelined by the Igbos in whatever they do, this is especially evident in business and trading centres that are igbo dominated.
Nigeria can never split. The suggestion is dead on arrival! U think that the problem is politics? My dear the major problem is religion which is evidenced in Bokoharam activities. What are they agitating for? A sharia country. Mind you its an ideology, even if u killed so many of them, you have not killed their ideology. Theres is even stronger than they biafrans. Majority of this tribe even believe in this ideology. A case study is our president. Y they r not vocal nw is oil but the bokos boy ve taken the bull by the horn. Politics › Re: Igbos Are The Reason Nigeria Will Never Split - My Opinion by TruthisGOD: 9:29am On Oct 06, 2015 |
jayfolarin: Nigeria will never split. I love the igbos and despite their secessionist tendencies, I believe they are the major reasons why Nigeria will never split. This is because, unlike any other tribe in the country, the igbos are the most migrated. You will find them in droves in almost every state across the federation. Go to the most remote villages in the southwest, you'd find a reasonable number of igbos trading/residing and you'd even see some inter-marrying with the natives.. I have too many examples.
For any secession to take place, the igbos would have to first migrate in droves back to the southeast but the opposite is what we experience everyday. To back up my claim, Go to any lagos motor park in any south-eastern town/city and you will marvel at the number of people planning to travel down to lagos from there at any given day.
If it was left to the yorubas who are fully concentrated in the southwest with a negligible number of persons in other regions, secession or splitting will be a very easy thing to do as a referendum for secession will be easy to obtain from the yoruba people at any given period but same cannot be said for the Igbos as it currently stands.
I have to say this though, I believe the igbos create a sort of religion balance in the Nigerian system. This is very needed in the system as Nigeria will most likely be an islamic state without the igbos' major Christian population. I am a yoruba christain and will certainly not be comfortable with having the North and southwest as a country together without the inclusion of the Igbos. There are a reasonable number of Muslims in Yorubaland and I know that a southwest + North-only country will have the number of Muslims overshadow the Christians. The Islam religion with its usually overbearing tendencies (sorry) will want to lord it over minority Christians. I certainly won't be comfortable with this and i'm sure a lot of Yoruba christains won't be too. I seriously don't want to experience what it could be like for Nigeria without the Igbos.
God bless Nigeria. Nobody is going anywhere!!! Then the ibos should remain in perpetual darkness for you to feel comfortable? How vry insensitive |
