Foreign Affairs / Parliament To Debate Banning Donald Trump From UK by TruthisOut: 12:15am On Jan 08, 2016 |
The debate has been scheduled for January 18 in Westminster Hall, where any member of Parliament is allowed to participate. An online citizen's petition to ban Trump from the United Kingdom garnered more than 568,000 signatures, well above the 100,000 threshold required for a measure to be considered for a debate, since being filed on December 8. The petition says that because the country has banned entry to people for "hate speech" before, "the same principles should apply to everyone who wishes to enter the UK." Trump launched his proposal to temporarily halt the immigration of Muslims into the United States, Prime Minister David Cameron called the billionaire "stupid" and "three times a loser." http://beta4life..com.ng/2016/01/parliament-to-debate-banning-donald.html

Business / Oil Price On A 14-year Low: Close To $30 Per Barrel by TruthisOut: 10:54am On Jan 07, 2016 |
The price of oil is still nosediving. Oil started January on the back foot thanks to escalating tensions between Saudi Arabia and Iran, and traders have been jittery ever since. The immediate catalyst for Thursday's collapse appears to be China. China weakened the value of its yuan currency by 0.51% to 6.5646 against the US dollar overnight, the biggest drop since August. Brent is down 4.15% at $32.89 (£22.49) at 7.00 a.m. GMT (2.00 a.m. ET) and US crude is down 3.84% at $32.66 (£22.33). Both are at levels not seen since 2002 when the oil price was recovering from September 11. See more at: Business Insider page Considering the fact that Nigerian's 2016 budget is based on a benchmark of $38, this has shown that the budget is totally unrealistic. I fear for the future of economies that are wholly dependent on oil. People tighten your belts as the worse is yet to be seen. My advise: we all should learn to cut cost as companies are doing - learn to save more to avoid vicious circle of poverty. http://beta4life..com.ng/2016/01/oil-price-at-14-year-low-close-to-30.html

Investment / Re: Cashing Out On An Insurance by TruthisOut: 6:40pm On Dec 29, 2015 |
Hi guys, Thanks so much for the responses. I met with my account officer today and he ended up getting me angrier. He still maintained that I will lose money if I cash out now because the market/economy is not good now - How does that affect our agreement? And that it will take at least 3 months for me to get paid!!! I am just concerned about letting go of the original documents to them. Will photocopies suffice as proof in case tomorrow they start speaking from both sides of their mouth? A colleague in my office told me that he has been trying to cash out for the past 6 months from the same insurance company. I hope I have not entered "one chance". It hurts as I have been a good lad in payment of my premium. |

Investment / Cashing Out On An Insurance by TruthisOut: 8:01am On Dec 29, 2015 |
Hi guys, Please I need your help. I have been running this life assurance policy with an Insurance company for more than 40 months and going by their policy I can cash out 100 percent of my investment after 3 years (36 months). Now I want out, they started making things difficult telling me I will lose money if I cash out now. I insisted that they give me back my money as I really it need now, they asked for a lot of requirements but the ones that made me raise an eyebrow are: 1. I should submit all receipts that they have sent anytime I paid my monthly premium 2. I should return the policy document. Guys, these are documents that shows that I had an investment with them. Are these requirements ok or is someone trying to play me now? I need your help. |

Don't take it like you are reporting him; there is an issue that has to be solved and you guys needs to work together to fix the problem. Blames might come later. Just forward the email to him to review and respond to the consultant but make sure you put another in CC. Cheers. |

barbiesparkz2: Remember, after making your choice the resource persons will always ask if you will like to change your choice based on extra information that you did not ask for. you have to ask those questions and then the answer will become clear to you. I may not be able to throw more light on this but in conclusion, you don't defend your choice, you are to ask the right questions to be able to get more facts to make an informed decision. |
Jobs/Vacancies / Re: 2013 Nigeria Liquified Natural Gas (NLNG) Graduate Trainee by TruthisOut: 6:30pm On Aug 13, 2015 |
I think that fact- finding is not about defending your choice but asking the right questions that will lead you to the right choice. There is only one right answer and three pertinent questions that you need to ask to make that right choice. Think about it: the exercise is called fact- finding and you have resource persons to ask questions that will lead you to making the wise choice. 2 Likes |
