OfoIgbo:
As an Igbo man, I have no horse in the Rivers state race of shame, but you have to realise that new commissioners will have to be screen by the Rivers state HOA that seems to be dancing to Wike's tune.
Fubara may have to go through his first term with permanent secretaries of the various ministeries.

But one thing everyone has to realise is that Tinubu is supporting Wike, and Tinubu needs Rivers state badly, in the next election, and Wike wants to be in control of Rivers state, so he can replicate the illegality that Tinubu brought to the Nigerian government
governor Fubara will send new names to the rivers State house of Assembly under Speaker Edison and they will all be screened before they are inaugurated into the cabinets of governor Fubara. No time to waste time. There are great gifted hands and competent people of Rivers State that will filled that positions .

Instead of our huge population to rebuild the economy of Nigeria, the reverse is the case cos’ of the evil economic policies of our political figures in the government. At the end, it’s the same huge population that suffered for it. It’s very unfortunate seriously.

Press Statement

Rivers State Assembly: PDP Demands INEC to Conduct Fresh Elections in 27 State Constituencies.
…Insists Defected Rivers Lawmakers Automatically Vacated their Seats

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) demands that the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) should immediately commence the process of conducting fresh elections into the 27 State Constituencies in Rivers State which have become vacant by reason of the defection of the 27 former State lawmakers in the Rivers State House of Assembly to the All Progressives Congress (APC).

The PDP asserts that by defecting from the PDP, the political Party platform on which they were elected into the Rivers State House of Assembly, the seats of the respective 27 former lawmakers have become vacant by virtue of the provision of Section 109 (1) (g) of the Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, 1999 (as amended).

For the avoidance of doubt, Section 109 (1) of the 1999 Constitution provides that “a member of a House of Assembly shall vacate his seat in the House if … (g) being a person whose election to the House of Assembly was sponsored by a political Party, he becomes a member of another political party before the expiration of the period for which that House was elected…”

By reason of the above Constitutional provision and its clear interpretation by the Supreme Court, the 27 defected members of the Rivers State House of Assembly have vacated and lost their seats, rights, privileges, recognition and obligations accruable to members of the Rivers State House of Assembly.

The PDP therefore demands that the Speaker of the Rivers State House Assembly immediately comply with the provision of the Constitution by declaring the seats of the 27 former lawmakers vacant.

In view of the vacancy now exiting in the 27 State Constituencies in Rivers State, the PDP demands that INEC should within the stipulated period under the Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, 1999 (as amended) conduct fresh election to fill the vacancies.

Our Party cautions that the former lawmakers should stop parading themselves as members of the Rivers State House of Assembly as such would amount to impersonation with serious criminal consequences.

The PDP commends the people of Rivers State for their steadfastness and loyalty to Democracy and Rule of Law especially at this time.

eldoradoxx:
The 27 defectors have had their seats effectively declared vacant and untill the court says otherwise they cannot participate in any proceedings of the House including impeachment. They were in a hurry to please Wike and created an opportunity for Fubara to having a hold on them. You dont cite issues surrounding the office of mere National Secretary of PDP as ground for defection. For a defection to be valid, it must be an actual factionalization of the national party with two leadership. PDP is currently not factionalized, if they do real case in court, the 27 members have lost their seats.
Pdp at the National level has gone to court to declare their seats vacant now.

Their job is secured because Fubara can't withstand the two onslaught of either impeachment or sacking by the supreme Court.

Illegality is the only way forward in River State now, after all, Fubara is not the winner of the election in the first place.
Fubara is winning the war in the Supreme Court of justice. No case submission from Tonye Cole of APC. Tonye Cole case dismissed in the tribunal and Appeal court of justice. Tonye Cole of APC case will be dismissed in the Supreme Court of justice too. Governor Fubara will be in the government in the next 4 years and his government will be best in Rivers State.

Benwallt:
The Rivers State Commissioner for Special Projects, Chief Emeka Woke, has reportedly tendered his resignation from Governor Siminalayi Fubara’s cabinet, following the recent departure of Attorney General Zachaus Adango.

While Adango cited personal reasons for his exit, Woke’s resignation letter remains confidential and hasn’t been publicly released, per Nigerian Tribune.

This development comes amidst a bitter political rift between Governor Fubara and his predecessor and FCT Minister, Nyesom Wike. The rift has already led to the defection of 27 lawmakers from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to the All Progressives Congress (APC).

There are suggestions that Woke’s resignation could be a gesture of loyalty to Wike, whom he previously served.

The crisis in Rivers State heightened on Wednesday when the state government demolished the state legislative chamber.

The state Commissioner for Information and Communications, Joseph Johnson, in a statement on Wednesday, said the place was unsafe for human habitation because of the recent explosion and fire incident there.

Just before the demolition of the chamber, four lawmakers loyal to the state Governor, Siminalayi Fubara, led by factional Speaker, Edison Ehie, held a plenary at the Government House, Port Harcourt. They thereafter okayed the state budget, presented to them by Governor Fubara.
wetin dey pursue him commit Fubara government. The big sheriff is in town. No time to waste time here. Fubara is winning the war against his enemies in hard way. Niger delta politics is highly different from Southwest or Northern politics. In Niger delta, they stand with themselves in getting justice and tranquility in their political dealings. Fubara isn’t Ambode the clueless coward that was shivering on sighting Tinubu and his cronies in APC. Wike will be dealt with thoroughly. Karma will surely backfired. There are much experienced and qualified erudites people of rivers state that will occupy the position in some days time. Governor Fubara will send their names to the rivers state house of Assembly and they will be screened in the chamber.

Already over 800 people have been convicted for the insurrection and assault at the Capitol
