No you are wrong. The problem was 14 members loyal to Oshiomole were never sworn in. 10 members loyal to Obaseki were sworn in.

Even if they were all sworn in, 10 or 14 out of 24 is a quorum. Both are more than 1/3rd.

Maybe in Obaseki’s case there were enough members to form a quorum. Even then only 1 faction is legal. In Fubara’s case his faction do not have enough members to form a quorum if 27 members are with Wike. Simple English, simple law.

nope you are very wrong. Go and read the news about the factional speaker during the first term of obaseki government then. Obaseki pro lawmakers formed a quorum and dealt with Oshimole pro lawmakers well. To the extent that their salaries wasn’t paid for 3 years. You don’t understand Niger delta politics

96. (1) The quorum of a House of Assembly shall be one-third of all the members of the House.

If you don’t have a quorum, anything you do is illegal..including electing a speaker.

You can have as many factions as you want, only 1 is legal!

Like I said, Wike May lose the war when the Rivers people vote in 2027, but Fubara cannot win this battle!

I believe the RSHA has 35 members, then only 8 are with Fubara. You cannot form a quorum with 8 members. Game over!!
