Police men will block Lekki, expressway collecting N20, from commercial buses,  THAT'S ROBBERY & INJUSTICE, SO WHY DID'NT THEY PROTEST ABOUT SOME OF THESE LITTLE THINGS GOING ON IN THAT AXIS? It's not their BIZNESS. People only wake up when it affects them directly. It will not work that way. Y'all have seen nothing yet.

Lukkie, Nigerians lost it long time ago. Whatever that did not affect them directly is not their BUSINESS. Even the so called " POOR". Why is that every Nigerian that can afford a GENERATOR will go and buy it, rather than protest about LACK OF ELECTRICITY. If this protest was about LACK OF ELECTRICITY, Millions of this Lekki residents will not bother to participate, cos everyhouse that can afford it is running on a MIGHTY MIKANO GENERATOR. Toll gate is not different from any other govts bad policy, this protest?? Hmmmmm!

In London, I think there's something that they call CONGESTION TAX" or a form of TAX to  discourage people to from flooding the road with cars. Lekki residents can use BRT when going to work, cos majority of them work on the Island there, this can serve  as another form of BOYCOTT & to make sure that the projected revenue will not be realized.

One thing Y'all fail to realize is this Nigerian rulers are used to getting away with a whole lot of STUPID DECESIONS & POLICIES.

Truth be told, NIGERIANS ARE NOT THAT TYPE OF PEOPLE THAT QUESTION THEIR RULERS. IF THIS CULTURE OF PROTEST AND QUESTIONING RULERS POLICIES, THE LAGOS STATE GOVT. WILL THINK TWICE BEFORE ERCTING THAT TOLL. BETTER STILL THEY WILL CONSULT ALL THE STAKEHOLDERS TO KNOW HEAR THEIR OPINION. BUT THE CONSULTATION WAS AN AFTER THOUGHT.

@ Juanny02, those people that can't afford the toll. Can they afford Govts LIBREALIZATION OF THE DOWNSTREAM SECTOR (SUBSIDY REMOVAL) ?? NO, and what will they do to show that govt policies is HARSH on them? They will head to their CHRUCHES & MOSQUES to pray for their leaders, rather than facing the MONSTER. It's not funny to hear of a PROTEST & you'll read that  someone as EVIL as Bode George that ruin Nigeria is LEADING a PROTEST. I will never support such a DRAMA.

People should have started all these DRAMA when they were constructing the TOLL PLAZA. But they never did. Everyone is busy with what I don't know, Now that its' time for collection, you want to fight with the mad SOLDIERS & MOPOL. If you can, goodluck!

Nigerians are funny people. there are many ways to BOYCOTT that TOLL without risking their lives in the hands of those trigger happy MOPOL. Are they ready for such? NO.

@ Remmi, we have ENORMOUS issues to deal with in Nigeria. Why this TOLL alone? and WHY NOW? However, those oil workers you mentioned CANNOT risk their WORK on Monday to come & "OCCUPY LEKKI". People that can only protest on a SATURDAY, is that a PROTEST? They can't protest, wait till they deploy SOLDIERS. This DRAMA is not sustainable. That's my own.

Let's wait & see how these Lekki residents will react about SUBSIDY REMOVAL in January. They all voted for Jonathan & not PDP. I told people that Nigerians have lost the PRESIDENTIAL ELECTION. It was not Buhari that LOST. We fail to vote for an HONEST candidate that will not STEAL PUBLIC FUNDS, simply because of PRIMODIAL SENTIMENTS. This is just the beginging, Jonathan should hasten the susbsidy removal.

FYI, wallstreet, protesters are not even POOR & their protest was not about something that AFFECTED THEM DIRECTLY. It was about everything that was wrong in their society, which includes " Govt should not bailout wallstreet", Libyans faced Gadafi, Egyptians, faced Mubarak, & they did not wait for when something DIRECTLY AFFECTS them. JUXTAPOSE them & your own Lekki protest

@ eros, you are getting it wrong. Those indigenous people are not POOR. If they are poor, they are suppose to have been fighting against that toll building before now. The so called POOR people are also Nigerians, ( DOCILE , COWARDS & CREDULOUS) ,but are they suppose to be living under that conidtion that you called POOR? They live below poverty line & they are not worried, which baffles a lot of non-Nigerians. Millions of EGYPTIANS & LIBYANS are better off than the POOR people in Nigeria, yet, they risked their lives & kicked out their own MONSTERS. I tell you what, Lekki residents will never protest against SUBSIDY REMOVAL. WHY? WHY?, When they get to any gas station & they attendant will tell them the current price ( 150 ),they'll only speak ENGLISH, WITH BRITISH or AMERICAN ACCENT, @ that point & that's it. he or she will buy full tank & drive off. @eros, That's not TRUE, my family lives in NORTHERN FORSHORE Lekki. Do you live in Lekki? Why I ask this is because, thousands of people that in my estate will not leave the COMFORT of their HOMES to face MAD MOPOLs. The estate provides everything & people do not see any reason to go & risk their lives over something they can afford. Lekki residents ( the ones i know though ) ARE NOT READY TO RISK THEIR LIVES. IT will fade away by Monday, when they will need to go & work for the money they will use to buy COMFORT. My guy, FORGET NAIJA, we're not there YET, it's all a wish!

FYI, by January, fuel prices will be over 100 naira, going by planned subsidy removal. Millions of those MIDDLE CLASS in Lekki will not see any REASON to protest. Cos their cars have to be on the ROAD. why?? Cos they can afford that & they can not afford a TOLL fee. INTERESTING!

Lekki residents must PAY for that TOLL, cos, people like them destroyed Nigeria with their " IT's NOT MY BUSINESS ATTITUDE ". They thought Govt policies can only affect the poor.

If you call for protest against FUEL SUBSIDY or the FED. Govt toll gates on FEDERAL HIGHWAYS, this same Lekki, people will not see it as an IMPORTANT THING.

People should stop this PDP & ACN thing & fight for INJUSTICE, then take it to the next LEVEL ( REVOLUTION ). They are wasting their time, PDP's Federal Govt WILL give Lagos ACN all the necessary support, thru SOLDIERS & MOPOLS. They should all go & sleep, they all want to appear in PATRIOTIC. Why did'nt they go LASU & join the students to protest against the increase in their school fees? They will not, cos their kids are all OVERSEAS. Nigerians will REAP whatever they SOW. When Jonathan said he will run for President. People failed to be OBJECTIVE & did not ask questions about Jonathan. Wikileaks reported him telling the then US ambassador to Nigeria, that he's not capable of leading Nigeria. People did not ask, what LEGACY did Jonathan leave in Bayelsa as a Governor? Rather, we were carried away with SOUTH & MINORITY sentiments.

Jonathan became the president, presently, Nigerians are MAD @ him cos THE CHICKEN HAVE COME HOME TO ROOST. They REGRETTED voting for him. Why now? cos they failed to look beyond the NEWSPAPER HEADLINES.

Why is that Nigerians are not protesting against SUBSIDY REMOVAL?? Cos Jonathan never promised to remove it when he was contesting for the president. It's a BREACH of TRUST.
