Read the touching story of Simeon who against all odds is living a life of purpose. While many with the same condition have resulted to begging, Simeon Djagbo has become not just a fine musician but an inspiration to many. He is a University graduate of DELSU and is now running his Master’s programme.

With determination and great courage, Djagbo has risen above his deformity and is enriching his life, buoyed by a strong belief that God has a reason for letting him be born without palms and fingers. By the time Simeon was almost five years old, his musical talent had become noticeable. As he now
says, his musical talent is “a gift to showcase God’s wonders and be a blessing to others who feel hopeless.”

How He Became A Guitarist

“My church brought a man to teach the guitar to others. I was in the drum section just watching as he was teaching a lady to play a progression on a particular song. I watched the way the lady’s fingers were moving on the strings and I was capturing it in my head. When she dropped it, I picked the guitar up and played it exactly the way she was taught and everybody was shocked, because I was not taught how to play it. Although, I was always sneaking to play the guitar because some concerned people felt I would injure myself. I kept at it and became better. I feel God divinely directed me to the guitar.”

My Parents Are My Pillars

“My parents never gave up on me and treated me like a king; they supported me financially and prayerfully. I wanted to enroll in a primary school, but the school administrators rejected me because they felt I could not write. They also felt that my physical defect would scare off children from the school. My parents got information about a school owned by a white woman, St. Lukes Nursery and Primary School in Warri, Delta State. From there I moved to Sure Success College, Warri for my secondary education. I later gained admission into Delta State University, Abraka where I read Library and Information Science. For the mandatory National Youths Service Corps (NYSC) scheme, I served in Okrika Local Government Area, Rivers State and I am presently running my Masters programme in the same University,”

“I want to say the greatest challenge that a man can have is a handicapped mind and not physical challenges. I believe that God who created me like this has a reason and a bigger and better plan that will take me to an expected end. Any challenge I face is a process to fire me up to become a better person in this world.

No one is physically disabled except your mindset is. And I believe that it does not limit you from being who you are destined to be in life. Everyone is born with at least a talent. It is your duty to discover and make use of it. Like the Bible says in Proverbs 18:16 ‘A man’s gift maketh room for him and bringeth him before great men.’ Trust me, no one has any excuse.”

“The fact that Jesus lives means I can face tomorrow. I wake up praising Him because He owns my future, and I know I am a great child of destiny. I am inspired knowing that I am a friend of God and that even the angels are envious of me. God is alive and I see that the future is so bright for me.

“I hope to become one of the most sought after gospel bass guitarists both in Nigeria and abroad. I also want to be a blessing to people and put smiles on their faces,”..
WAOH THIS GUY IS AN INSPIRATION, FINE CHOPPING GUY, NOTHING REALLY LIMITS U

OMG

Still on this club matter
Mehn Yesterday was Maadddddd!!! I had only N3,000
Naira in my pocket and I was very hungry. But I
wanted to eat good food, so I went to one High
Class Hotel at Ogba and made an order of the
most expensive meal and wine they had available.
After the meals, the drinks and champagne, my
bill was N57,500 but I told the waiter that I had
only 3k and she called the manager.Anyway to
cut the long story short, after being angry and
disappointed in me, the manager handed me over
to the Nigerian Police. On my way to the station, I
gave the Police officers N2000 and I was set
free.Loool, this is what I call "Financial
Management" and I will do this sh*t again

i think one of the best books to lean java is "Learn to Program with Java: by John Smiley" (google it)

It is taught by a Prof, as if u are the classroom, i aint a java person (but have c# experience) but when i picked up the book i had insight to java in 24hrs

Hahahahaha, Guys u just made me laugh this fine morning, Oga danmention, u wan learn cake from html, i laugh in spanish, french and korean on top that in 2weeks,kai php don suffer.

Wat i will advise, like sme1 said above u have to knw the concept of OOP through a real programming language like c# or java because cake deals with MVC using OOP in PHP
So
1. Try Learn php very well (PROCEDURAL)

2. Go online look for c# tutorials and learn the basics,(this will give u the feel of OOP concepts)

3.Then u now go and learn OOP in php(not very hard again when u have learnt c#)

4. After all these u can now pick up cake tutorial and videos to understand it.

To get u started on php and c# try home and learn dot com(google it)

Can u market an I.T firms products and ready to learn either c#,java or php, if yr answer is yes and u in lagos,i could hook u up

Hello
How can I design an andriod app that can load htm file on computer connected on same Lan with your phone using wireless access point?
There is no internet, the website is local and i want my andriod phone to call the index page or any page of my choice
Thanks

I think u be more specific the app loads a page from LAN basically the app launches an intranet in LAN, if the url of the server is known or on a virtual host basically this might be done.

OK i am encouraged by this i thought app inventor was childish before but now i am seeing some real apps developed with this just to contribute my quota u can download any of the ebooks here http://bookzz.org/s/?q=app+inventor&t=0 to bet u started on yr own.

Please keep up the good work

Found this on Nairaland http://www.java2s.com/

or u check home and learn http://www.homeandlearn.co.uk/java/java.html

i will advise u go to a cafe and download all the pages to yr flash then go home and start learning from yr system, na so some of us take learn before internet come cheap small

pls what is the salary range someone is interested

Google and download VideoPad Video Editor i guarantee it is the simplest and fully packed editor u can use also comes with green screen, if u are IT savvy u can download the full pack for free but the free version u can use for a limited time.

Basically u dont need to be lost,

1. it will done with php/mysql and html ?(css for design and javasscript for prompt can wait)

2. it will have login pages for students and supervisor

3. students can create profile and upload pictures and see supervisor itinerary,[from database which u would have made provision for]

4. supervisor will have her own page to create and edit her profile, manage her itinerary, possible number of days and maximum number of students to be available and see respectively which will be stored in dbase for students to view on their own portal

5. for each cancel notification, messages can be sent to either students or supervisor with mail function

6. well i think i have broken it down small for u, anybody else can contribute.

Really with basic knowledge of php/mysql u should be able to do this.

If u are willing to learn [which will be beneficial to u in the long run] u can start here http://www.homeandlearn.co.uk/php/php.html and learn from start to intermediate and yr project go be moi moi.

or u hala me if u cannot do it make i hook u up

U need a software company to employ u to train u and learn, anyways best of luck, but i guarantee u, companies are looking for already trained professionals not rookie designers, u can pay for training at a good IT training school or be like most developers here go online and download books and start reading and developing yrself, if u start and u do not understand u can always come here to ask questions and u are sure to get answers.
Thanks

Kind of understand yr situation, i remember learning c# then and wondering how i could get a site from it but not to worry get this book here this will get u started Build Your Own ASP.NET 4 Web Site Using C# & VB, 4th Edition download here http://en.bookfi.org/book/1436348
i promise yr c# career will be like walking in the park
