what do you mean by romantic? Do you mean going to a bar, getting drunk? Or do you mean what you read and watch on television? These are fairy tales. It doesn't happened in real life. What can you say about the broken marriages and single mothers in the western world? Is it all part of romance? Generalisation base on few assumptions is wrong. Most African are realistic. Giving a flower to a girl doesn't mean anything. It is just a plant, to us it doesn't define romance. Romance is dedication to the need of a woman. |
presido1:It is very easy to confirm. Since they claim he was at the hospital, I am sure there will be eye witnesses. 100s of them. The eye witness at the Gani family. Why even all the brouhaha? Just because police doesn't believe he is here, so we want to believe the police now. |
whiteroses:How would you feel, if you are a man, you married someone, and just one morning, you wake up and see somebody with a bald head staring at you like a babalawo. Don't you deserve some honesty here. I didn't say I dont like the weaving. I just don't like to see the forest on their head. You just look at a person from a far away distance and you know it is fake. Even if you going to do it, do it with moderation. And by the way I am not alone, most men don't like it. |
ThiefOfHearts:The comment was directed to you, not your Mum, or any person you are associated with. It is not an insult, rather it is just like saying "fuc.k off". I am angry because of the way you referred to me as "dumb". |
@tpia Look at their faces, they are beautiful. They don't need the extra hair to show that they are beautiful. They already are. And by the way these are exceptional cases. If our girls will strife to make theirs look a fraction of these, we won't have anything to complain However, it seems some of you might have misunderstood what I am trying to say (sometimes it is difficult to explain). But I do know that (by the way I am not the first to complain), most of the Nigerian girls I see, their head look horrendous. Common, in case you don't know, this is how sometimes men I dentify Nigerians in many European countries. |
stillwater:What really make it ugly is knowing that it is fake. A person with conscience cannot be decieved. It is just analogous to the Nigerian rebranding project. ThiefOfHearts: ThiefOfHearts:I am sorry if you are offended. There is no need for you to bring my Mum into this discussion. Please whatever you are going to say leave my Mum out of it. You are not a better human than any other Fulani herding cattle. By the way, Fulani do not herd goats |
I do remember that Gani Fawehimi is from SW |
tpia.:Yeh, the girls we see on the streets are our potentials girlfriends and wives. When my mum concieved me |
ThiefOfHearts:If u don't have a response, you don't have a response. This place is not a relief valve. You don't have to let off your steam hear. Go somewhere and vent your frustration. Just because it has been discussed before that doesn't mean it cannot be discussed again, especially with new people and with another theme. If you are tired of hearing or reading the samething, you go hang yourself. The whole world is a recycle bin. |
@ Topic Did you see the men? Most can compete with pregnat women in tummy size. This issue of excessive weight is a general thing not only the women. But I do agree it is more pronounce among the women, especially the folk below the Niger river. Why, they want to wear skimpy dress, and their oversize asses just shoot out like a baloon that want to explode. Their tummy go shoot forward. When u look at them. . . u dont even know how to describe them . . . u just see person . . . bol bol for ur front . . . . |
In Nigeria, there is something called SERVICOM which is suppose to serve as a complain unit for poor service delivery at all government offices But the funny thing is that the same guys at SERVICOM will ask you to give them something to file your complain. I was shocked last year when i went to do my Passport at the immigration i was I ask to pay additional 8,000 naira called processing fee which reciept is not issued. I complained to the SERVICOM officials and their response was - that is how it is done. If you want to complain get a lawyer and bring the fee for filing complain. |
Andre Uweh:They have more important things to do |
Pls, if u want to write here, it is better you break it into pieces. |
iice:It is not about the weave it is about the additional hair. I dont care about what white ppl do, I care about our own personality and independence. Must you do things because you see white ppl do? White ppl have Gay bishops? Is that Biblical? Do we expect to see gay Pastors and bishops in Nigeria too? It is about who we are and what make us good. Why Nigerian woman/man? Well Im more connected to these ppl and they seems the most guilty of this. Nigerian men encourage the girls to do it, in my own opinion Missy B:This is not about preference, this is about pressure. . . . I believe the women are push to do it by necessity of the present society. |
Yeh, the idea itself is just ridiculous If Lagos is suffering from lack of hotels rooms, why not invest directly. Sign a contract with Julius Berger, give them the money, and the plot and give them time. These guys I promise you will deliver the hotel within a possilbe short period of time. It is just ridiculous how our so called leaders comes with excuse when it come to contract and contracts award. Building infrastructure doesnt take decades. It is just the will |
The thing is a Scrap. Just like the Scrap airplanes you will see wasting away in our airports Just like the Tokumbo TVs in front of TV repairers shop/home Nigerians never cease to amaze me |
sexyLeamon:Sorry I didnt know where to put it. I will disagree with your suggestions for the reasons why black women wear weaves on their head. First of all there is no hair desease that cannot be cured untill you weave your hair with some extra forest on the head. I will even go further to say that, the unnatural hair attachement will most likely aggravate the disease. This is not even an acceptable logic Profession? How can a ladies profession dictates what she wears? I remember back in the 80s and early 90s, when this hair attachement was not common, what happened to women profession? Are u telling me that they were unemployable? Or are telling me that there is a job in this world that a black woman need hair attachement to look professional? Professional black women do not have time for this mentality sexyLeamon:That is not their business. That is our business. They are not doing it for themselves but for the society to see them look good. We are not talking about who is wearing it good or bad? The whole attachment mentality is crazy Do you know the amount of time and resources wasted by our ladies on this so-called mordern fashion? For Godsake they dont have to put that thing on their head to look beautiful. |
and to those that dont have long hair . . . what about this?
|
or this?
|
Isn't this beautiful?
|
Why do Nigerian women think that the fake hair they spent time and money on, makes them beautiful, sexy or romantic? Why do Nigerian men, think that the fake hair on their women make them beautiful? Anytime I see a Nigerian woman with that Pack of Forest on their hair, I feel angry and sorry for them. The thing doesn't make them beautiful Why can't they just wash it, oil it, clean it, perm it, and just hang it loose. The more natural it look the healtheir and more beautiful To Nigerian men, don't you guys feel it is disgusting the way our women religiously worship that thing? |
ezeagu:Forget about your books Anything that is historical is subject to different interpretation. Igbos are not short-change during the independence. They have the upper hand, it is just when the lost out after the Kaduna coup, they started crying foul as victim of repression. Your current circumtances of not having an Igbo President is your only grievance against the nation called Nigeria. Soon there will be an Igbo man as a President, and if he is going to be among the present crop of politicians and the ppl the Igbo you guys consider as your elserstatement, then there will be nothing that will be different from what we have. Corruption is corruption. It knows no DNA |
ah. . . now I get you . . . ur own is about the oil thing right? resource control ppl |
Beaf:I sniffed gutter ![]() I was trying to ask you You know, after discussing with many Nigerians from the south that reside in the north, I realised, despite the ethnic crisis in the north, these guys will want this country to remain as it is |
Beaf:Do you live in Nigeria? |
sjeezy8:I havnt read the history enough. . . before independence, the Northern delegates didn't want to be part of the new country. The British after cn what happened in indo-pakistan independence, decide to foster the idea of national unity on us (I I tried to read their documents on the National archive, but still cannot find the motive behind such move) The Nigeria was designed to be a conduit of resources to Britain. |
Beaf:Well, the Nigeria would have sat down years ago . . . before independence and decide to go into seperate countries like India and Pakistan. The problem of Nigeria now, is the integration that have taken place over the years. Any attempt to restructure the country either peacefully for forcefully will throw us into a confussion and uncertainty for decades. It will set us back |
