I know some women let it all hang out the way they dress but have you heard that these scanners will basically give them nak.ed pictures of you from head to toe and they'll blur out your eyes so you can't be identified ?
Who wants airport officials viewing nak.ed pictures of them.
Well they said women will scan women and men will scan men like that's supposed to make me feel better.
This is what this Mutallab guy has brought unto us.
Are you sure about that? This is against gender equality.

I will rather have a woman scan me than a man
PoliticsRe: The New Airport Body Scanners And Us by Tsiya(m): 11:58pm On Jan 05, 2010
Can you imagine some silly guy sitting at the airport and looking at least 1000 unclothed women a day. He will see the good, the bad and the ugly. Imagine somebody will have the opportunity of looking at female politicians including our first ladies and senators and alll them women that do gra - gra for us. This is the best job ever. I have to abandon medical school now. All my secondary school  fantasies are going to come reality.
PoliticsRe: The New Airport Body Scanners And Us by Tsiya(m): 11:03pm On Jan 05, 2010
I have begin to think. If death is a biological process and no matter how long you leave, what you achieve you will die, then why are we afraid of dying? People are just giving up their freedom just to let some few scared over-fed fat Americans. Whatever it is, these terrorist have won. They have made life so inconvinience to all of us.

I think I need to get a job in airport. Imagine somebody sitting in front of that machine watching naked people for 8 hours. That guy get one of the best jobs. Our secondary school fantasies now coming to reality
PoliticsRe: The New Airport Body Scanners And Us by Tsiya(m): 10:57pm On Jan 05, 2010
You know, for example if these terrorist device another method, to lace their cloths with powdery explosives that cannot be seen by the camera. What will they come up with next time? Start giving flying uniform? So that when you check in at the airport you will be ask to remove your cloths and hand them over, then they give you another one untill when you reach your destination

PoliticsRe: Is Nigeria Gradually Becoming A Failed State ? by Tsiya(m): 6:39pm On Jan 05, 2010
If Yar'adua did not appear within the next 2 weeks, I bet the FEC and the NASS will do something. They will not allow us to crash. We are not going to crash land. We will get a new pilot soon who will pick up speed. It is just the Nigerian way of doing things. Dithering and procrastinating. Scheming and lobbying. Respect and differing. The pressure is mounting

PoliticsRe: Is Nigeria Gradually Becoming A Failed State ? by Tsiya(m): 6:24pm On Jan 05, 2010
Nigeria is not a fail state and it is wrong to categorize Nigeria among the top states. Most of these states have rebel groups that are either fighting to secceed from the country or trying to tople the government. In Nigeria we have non of these.

Infact to prove the whole world how wrongly they percieve Nigerians, is the current state of our nation. Our President is missing, but still we are an entity. No fighting, no coupe, nothing.

Probably Nigeria is the only country that can function on auto pilot.
PoliticsRe: Lets Find Yar'adua - 48hrs To Show Himself Or Else: by Tsiya(m): 4:55pm On Jan 05, 2010
For one thing I am sure is, the guy is not dead. If he is, we would have known. Muslims do not keep their dead. And don't forget he is in Saudi Arabia. They will not keep his corpse just because he is a Nigerian President. They will ask us(them) to take him or else they will bury him.

Stop living in denial and clutching at straws - get over it, there is rampant insurgent terrorism here particularly in the north.

What excuses do you have for the Lagos bomber?

What you should be doing is saying how we can successfully eradicate it, instead of blaming others and currying favour.
The act of the Lagos bomber cannot said to be terrorism if we consider terror as defined in the present world. The guy is just a criminal intend on killing people just like there are many of them in America killing and maiming innocences people. There should be distinction between a mere criminal and somebody engage in ideological warefare. Most terrorists activities now are classified according the religious intentions of the actor.

Spot on. The video is rather bland. Nothin really wrong with it though. But the guy's sarcasm was unbelievable. Besides, many of the things he said are false. Many pple on here are saying the guy dint say anything wrong. I'm sorry but that is just plain colonial mentality. Question is, would you allow a frigging white man to say derogatory things about you in person?
This is not about somebody saying something derogatory about us in person, this is just someone that flies in and out of Lagos and making personal observation of what he sees.

Tell, is it not cutting grass by hand that we don't do? Right now, I can imagine one of my brothers with very long cutlass bending down and sweeting in the airpot. Or is the smoke so so unreal and the red sink are illumination of light. What is really wrong with us? Why can't we tell ourselves the truth?

I remember when Bill Clinton came to Nigeria, cars, buses, beggers, main ruwa and hawkers were pushed off the street. Not for our own good. Not for our development. No. Just so that Bill Clinton and his escorts will see that Abuja is beautiful. Who are we fooling here? You people should look beyond the fact that the guy is white. He could have been a tourist or environmentalist.

It seems the $400 million approves by Bush is working.

http://www.france24.com/en/20080701-us-funding-secret-ops-against-iran-us-iran

L ate last year, Congress agreed to a request from President Bush to fund a major escalation of covert operations against Iran, according to current and former military, intelligence, and congressional sources. These operations, for which the President sought up to four hundred million dollars, were described in a Presidential Finding signed by Bush, and are designed to destabilize the country’s religious leadership. The covert activities involve support of the minority Ahwazi Arab and Baluchi groups and other dissident organizations. They also include gathering intelligence about Iran’s suspected nuclear-weapons program.

The guy exaggerated a bit but Nigerians always love to throw a tantrum when our beloved cities are shown up for what they really are . . . . sh*tholes.

Very few foreigners from developed nations will visit Lagos and not come back with a very negative impression. The sooner we accept reality, the better.
Very frew Nigerians will travel outside Nigeria and then come back without having a big NEGATIVE impression of Lagos. For Godsake what people take for granted in the developed nations and what is availabe to the majority of the population (poor and rich) in Nigeria is for few privileged.

FamilyRe: Living With A Dictatorial Father, How Do You Cope? by Tsiya(m): 7:56pm On Jan 03, 2010
All I said are hypothetical. You certainly know better. It is just sometimes when dealing with your parents you have to be patient. Everything they do or say is out of love. You just cannot come to term with it. Nigerian parents are dictatorial. That is just that. Untill the day you move out of their house, you have to learn to cope with silly rules.

I wish you well.
FamilyRe: Living With A Dictatorial Father, How Do You Cope? by Tsiya(m): 7:20pm On Jan 03, 2010
Personally I believe going to different church with your parent might be one of the problems. It shows an act of rebellion and you are indirectly insulting their faith. If you leave with your parents and have no plans to move out in near future, then you should learn to appreciate what they like and do, even if you find it repulsive. I know it can be really hard for a girl of your age, especially you don't have a job that you can rely on and the Mr Right have refuse to come on time. However, you shouldn't allow that to ruin the blessings of parental love. Everything they do, comes from love. Quite frankly, 9:15 is late, especially if you don't have a car of your own. And whatever you do, I know at your age you feel you are adult, but adulthood is not about age, is about responsibility. And if you remain under their responsibility, then you should just learn to be patient and say sorry to them any time he start raving. The word "sorry" can do a lot of things.
FamilyRe: Living With A Dictatorial Father, How Do You Cope? by Tsiya(m): 6:47pm On Jan 03, 2010
wow. . .

You just have to patient with him. Why even go to different church with your parents? Isn't that an insult to them?

If you dont get married and move out, you will have to leave by the rules.
FamilyRe: Your Wedding Night by Tsiya(m): 6:43pm On Jan 03, 2010
It depends on how you two know each other and what you have done with each other before marriage. If you two have known each other for long and have gone all the way, the wedding night will just be like any other day, only that this one you are tired. If you have never gone all the way: too much to think. The tension, the anxiety, the restlessness, the calculations and miscalculations of how to pop up the thing. If you are a girl, fear will catch you, the knowledge today it is inevitable and couple with the fact that you are going to leave ur mummy. If you are a guy, you will be in the mood of "I can't wait for tonight". You will be having erection all day and nothing anybody will tell you will make sense that day.

Does it really matter? Are we not in danger of treating the symptoms of fundamentalism instead of attacking the causes.
Unfortunately, as the world is today, and as Nigeria is today, treating the symptoms of fundamentalism isn't going to happen in our life time. Those that have the power and responsibility of treating it are not willing to address the root cause.
