Fiona0007:If I have time to be on NL why shouldn't I hve time to do funny faces in the bathroom? |
I was just in the shower singing, and started contemplating- why do I like singing in the shower? May be that is the best place on earth. You are alone. Naked. You look at your body without feeling shy or anything. Inspect every angle, nook and touch the places that you will normally don't want to. I think shower is the best moment a person can have to himself. It is even nicer when it is cold and the water is warm. Like today, it is windy and rainy and called, the breeze hiting the shower window make some melody of its own. And then I started humming to the tune of the breeze. |
What I do know is that Nigerians, some Nigerians, look down on each other. What is the big deal in living in Peckam? What make Peckham a squalor? Whatever that mean. Is it because there are black people. I stayed in Bath and now in Glasgow, but I will always prefer Peckham. I don't speak yoruba or igbo but the mere sound of people shouting 'bawoni' brings life into me. I don't know why we dont even like our own people. |
What do you expect when you have a young woman among sex starved men? The gov't should have a rethink about certain policies and corpers should be very vigilant. They should know the kind of environment they find themselves. May God have mercy on her |
Archeologist desperately trying to justify their research grand!!! 419 Professors. |
You know sometimes it is difficult to accept what politicians say. What if the guy was with his gf in Warri? People can do weird things in this society. Nothing, but just a thought!!!! ![]() |
That Goodluck guy will be worse than Yar'adua. . . . |
Onlytruth:This one no be Yoruba culture. It is our military mentality and the spill over from the glory days of secondary school seniority |
There is kidnapping in Ekiti state. May be google can help us. http://www.google.co.uk/search?hl=en&q=kidnapping+in+ekiti+state&meta= |
sjeezy8:Look my friend stop defending your beloved state. I know it hurts when something terrible is associated with your homeland. This is a Nigerian thing. Anybody that comes here and say it is only peculiar to a certain state, tribe or part of a country is a liar. It is only when things get reported that we start to pretend as if it is new. Anybody that lives in Nigeria know that it is a common thing. How many folks are given the beaten of their lifes? I know of a state right now were governors percieve enemies cannot visit that state. |
mekuslogan:Thuggery is not restricted to SW, Yoruba or PDP. It is a common knowledge in Nigeria that a government official or a rich man can order someone to be beaten, maltreated, dehumanised. . . this is a common thing. . . it is just that now with the advent of technology we get to see it as a proof. The House of Reps guy that slapped the NASS security is a classical extension of our barbaric attitude similar to this one. He is neither from SW or Ekiti. Which state are you from? We will tell you example of that!!! See Nigeria try to foam like he is from some kind of Scandenavian country |
^ Piracy in Nigeria is a huge problem. However, they actors and actresses are not helping my churning out large number of junks in the name of a movie. They should first emphasis on the quality of the movies and then release them to marketing companies that will screened them in Cinemas all over the nation before they will be maid available on CDs and DVDs. People are no longer eager to watch new release. Because they are all monotonous and predictable. Most Nigerians watch them cos we have nothing to watch |
It will develop into nothing. Piracy occurs all over the world. How many of the movies being bought and watch in Nigeria are original? How many softwares are original in Nigeria? To me, anything on a CD or DVD is pirated. The guy should quit complaining and go and make good movies that will sell outside the Yorubaland and Nigeria. |
kosovo:Democracy is a political system. Homosexuality is not political. It is an immoral sexual behaviour It is moral and morality is inculcated in culture to limit perverse behaviours of few individual. Anything that violate the laws of nature and common sense is immoral. |
This is Nigeria where everyone find someone to blame for his problem |
When I remember that Nigerian Students are on strike, my anger goes to the Men and Women in Nigeria that call themselves PARENTS (My Dad inclusive). While they sit at home and lament about the closure of Nigerian Universities, non of them have thought to organise a rally, if not in solidarity with ASUU, at least to show their anger and concern that the government is extending the age of parental responsibility. While in developed and fast developing countries, the depedency age, has significantly reduce to near 18years, in Nigeria, children depends on their parents for the basic food and accommodation untill they are in their 30s. When are they going to be productive to the society? In no any country on this earth will their Universities be closed for 3 months and there are no riots, demonstrations or rallies. In Nigeria it is business as usual. This country is full with docile, inempt, lazy, coward and stupid people. I no longer pity Nigerians and their problems. We deserve what is happening to us. God, will not come down and solve our problems. No matter the amount of prayer, singing, praise, speaking in tongue, alms, charity and fasting we do, God will not listen to you. Infact, God has stopped listening to Nigerians. What is the difference between what the government is doing now and what Boko Haram was advocating? The only difference is these are using state power and the boko haram are non-state elements. |
Amaka, why do you like picking up fight? |
I remember when I was in secondary, I used to read James Hadely Chase Novels. I used to fantasize about kidnapping our neighbour (who is extremely rich-a senior banker). Now that the kidnapping thing have arrive in the North, I am thinking of starting a school to train some drop outs and ex boko haram to start kidnapping. May be this will awaken those sleeping goons that call them elders/leaders of the north. How I wish someone will kidnap the Sultan or Emir of Kano. . . . |
May it will be good to open a section in this forum and called it Kidnapping. This is to facilated us with a tracking mechanism of how many Nigerians are kidnapped within a year. We do know that the police are very poor in keeping records. But if we can do that, it will show how unsecure our country has become and it will help us keep an important statistics of our country |
"200 Million folks" We need to do something about population explosion. We cannot accommodate everybody on that land and produce food at the sametime. |
Aloy Emeka. . .where do you get such funny stories? |
df2006:Are you saying that without Nigeria, some people do not have opportunity to have access to computer? |
