Kophschmerzen:Some crap you've read on some conspiracy website, 'KophSEMEN'. Go antagonistic 'cause you think going against the obvious would make you stand out? You must have been fed beetle droppings all your childhood! There are a gazillion credible, unbiased sources which detail Israel's claim to Jerusalem:http://www1.cbn.com/cbnnews/israel/2017/december/why-history-says-jerusalem-belongs-to-the-jews http://nationalpost.com/opinion/de-souza-jerusalem-is-the-capital-of-israel-but-it-is-not-a-city-only-for-jews https://www.theaustralian.com.au/opinion/weight-of-history-supports-jerusalem-as-the-capital-of-israel/news-story/cc413b0cd94b45de8380802479ac3622?nk=52c61687b51db8a1e1c777d7fb975dac-1528360649&memtype=anonymous Of course, you wouldn't read this, you'd rather read the hogwash from Aljazeera, a Qatari(Arab and openly anti-Semitic) propaganda medium, and its likes to regurgitate the accumulated trash on the pages of Nairaland. I hope you get a debilitating immuno-suppression in Six Days like the Arabs got their arses handed to them when they dared fight the Israelis in the 1960's! 2 Likes 1 Share |

Nigerdeltaent:Man, pipe down. You'd likely find (ex-)militants involved in fracases in Oron, Urue Effong , Ibono and the surrounding communities 'cause these are oil-producing communities. In Etim Ekpo? What oil or oil largesse is there to fight over. Those guys are cultists and thugs but certainly not militants ('militants' in the Nigerian context). Cultism in Etim Ekpo and Ukanafun is the bane of those communities not militancy which renders the OP of militants invading Obong University wrong. |

Alejoc: What? What has been taken from Palestine? Jerusalem? It belongs to Israel and history is in their favour. Freedom? There are Arabs well settled in Israel but Jews are an endangered people throughout Arabia. Deaths and killing of Jews are celebrated. You can't protest projecting yourself as a victim while you are on the look out for ways to murder your supposed oppressors whenever there is an opening. Need I go on? Do I need to post links to news articles detailing the antagonistic tendencies of Palestine ( and Arabia, by extension) against Israel? 1 Like |

Terminator1234g:The Israeli-Palestine-cum-Arabic war is fundamentally religious while the Biafra issue is basically tribal or ethnic and slightly economic. The Arabs want the emancipation to prove Islam's superiority and the genocide of Jews. Jews have to protect themselves. Somehow Israel is a victim of the hostilities. Nigeria isn't Biafra's victim. Biafra is not getting other folks to wipe out the Nigerian populace like Arabs keep trying to do to Israel 'cause of Jerusalem. Also there's no wall separating supposed Biafrans from Nigerians and they freely mix. 'Biafrans' aren't throwing bombs at Nigerians or kidnapping them solely for their nationality like Palestinians do to Israelis. Do I support Biafra's cause? That's an entirely different issue but Biafra and Palestine aren't exactly the same. Trying to juxtapose the reasons behind each cause is trying to be clever by half. 6 Likes |

Yet the same Nigerians criticize and ridicule Governor Udom Emmanuel of Akwa Ibom State for building toothpick and syringe-making factories in the state, even though the markets for the products are available and would be comparatively cheaper and easier to get. You definitely arrived at some conclusions after the discussion yesterday and this is the result. Nice. Anigreat: I laugh so hard when people with no beards try so hard to have it. I had to line mine twice a week, so to look neat and attractive. the stress is just too much, but all the same I'm happy because it makes me look so cute and mature! [b] Twice a week? That's probably 'cause you always want to ensure the beard lines are razor-sharp. Little jagged edges to the beard gives the 'hardy' look which doesn't make you come off as soft-looking. They don't always have to be evenly shaped. Even Banky W went from the from his Craig-David- styled beard style to a little more rugged look. Five or six times a month at the barber's is alright but twice a week? That's a whole level of pettiness. |

Ghana depends on Nigeria to survive in many ways and they can't afford to step on their big brother's toes. Ever wondered why every Ghanaian president and ambassador is always cap-in-hand bowing to Nigeria to be in our good books? We frigging fund ECOWAS! What's worse, Ghana still owes Nigeria a whooping $160 million for gas debt and those chronic debtors have refused to pay us asking for more grace everytime. https://www.thisdaylive.com/index.php/2018/06/05/ghana-to-offset-legacy-gas-debt-owed-nigeria-others-by-end-of-2018/amp/ https://leadership.ng/2018/04/16/ghana-to-pay-100m-gas-debt-owed-nigeria/ They should deal with the criminals if found guilty but shouldn't dare start a xenophobic purge against us. Politics / Re: Akwa Ibom FDI Next To Lagos - Gov Udom Emmanuel by TSOM(m): 11:40am On Jun 06, 2018 |
TonyeBarcanista:Everyone who's in the know about the happenings in Akwa Ibom State would attest to Udom Emmanuel's positive thinking. The man seems obsessed with electrification and commissions power substations every alternate month. Trump and Kim might implode everything and start a world war, Putin might wipe off half of Ukraine to claim its territory...but one thing is certain; when you arrive in Akwa Ibom, you'd be sure to go to bed with your electric bulbs on. Even the opposition parties in the state have grudgingly admitted that. Oddly, I don't think Nsima Ekere of the NDDC is undermining Udom's power. The rivalry (when it doesn't get violent) has been good news for Akwa-Ibomites. The rivalry with Udom is probably one reason why Nsima Ekere is determined to outperform his NDDC predecessors. He's tarred and widened inner city roads and streets in Uyo, built entirely new roads in Mkpat Enin, Ikot Abasi, Oron and Ibiono Ibom L.G.As amongst countless others. He's footed the medical bills of so many others too. The fact is, at the basic level, Akwa-Ibomites aren't really interested who wins the PDP-APC rivalry as long as good governance is ensured, as long as it opens up more opportunities for us and further cements our place at the top, we'd go with it. It's the reason why everyone supported Senators Udo Udoma and Ita Enang when Buhari appointed them, PDP and APC alike. It's the reason why we all cheered when Nsima Ekere was appointed as the NDDC Director-General and when Eng. Ben Ukpong was appointed as one of the six NPC Federal Commissioners. It might come off as odd that we do not necessarily have to draw our political elites back based on their party affiliations but I have explained why. If I had my way, the rivalry between Udom Emmanuel and Nsima Ekere would continue for years with both sitting atop powerful 'thrones'. Their rivalry has benefitted the state and if they keep going at it at the current rate, every state in the country would be trailing Akwa Ibom developmentally. Luckily, on the whole, the PDP governors Akwa Ibom State has produced haven't been failures. That storied achievement would always give the PDP the upper hand in Akwa Ibom State politics, always. |

Power supply has improved. Daily power supply averaging at 12 hours in areas connected to the power grid is probably the highest in the country. Some areas even get uninterrupted electric power supply for days at length, which is praiseworthy. Road infrastructures have continued towing the path of the Akpabio vision. He gets a pass mark for that too. Still he needs to hasten his industrialization strides. There are several companies which need to be revived. ALSCON is one of such. Companies in Itu whose machineries are in disrepair need urgent attention. And he needs to tone down his bickering with Nsima Ekere, the NDDC Chairman. Both are doing well for the state and shouldn't hinder the other from playing his part to further develop her. |

Lalas247: I am surprised too and positively so. I guess he's doing it entirely for fun. It's good too. There's a dearth on the internet of websites- articles even- detailing the challenges and how-tos of growing and maintaining (full-on) beard as an African male (which has a different texture from other types of hair) so it's refreshing. At the very least, it's one more website to refer newbies to the BeardGang to if I am too lazy to explain such things to them when they ask me. 2 Likes |

This feels like déjà vu. There's always the polarizing back-and-forths when pictures from these get-togethers are uploaded. It always happens. Whichever side of the divide you are on, you'd have to admit it takes a great deal of courage and confidence to allow your pictures get uploaded to supposedly anonymous viewers/internet users (Nairalanders, this time) even when being needlessly trolled is an eventuality. That in itself makes this - everything this embodies- a success; a celebration of the courage to remove the mask of anonymity and let the internet see you as you are. Kudos, guys. P.S: Only one guy represented the fully-bearded gang well - the interviewer. Whoever he is - thumbs up. 10 Likes 5 Shares |

The OP should have his knuckles cracked with a hammer for posting lies. Etim Ekpo L.G.A is not a neighbouring town to Port Harcourt. It borders Azumire in Abia State which is about 45 minutes drive to Aba and about 90 minutes drive to Port Harcourt. Etim Ekpo isn't even close to the Atlantic Ocean and not an oil-producing community too. Its people have always been involved in inter-communal clashes with other communities, especially in the neighbouring Abia State. This has nothing to do with MEND or Niger-Delta Avengers and there's been no battle in Obong University except the usual cult/gang violence in tertiary institutions which is rare. Stop spreading lies to get blog traffic! |

omoschool:How about brushing your hair for a start? That levels everything then you get a very low-cropped hairstyle. You could always visit the salon weekly or thrice a month to level it out. Forget about the afro hairstyle you might crave, a very low-cropped hairstyle would look good on you. The onset of your receding hairline at age nineteen is sort of rapid but you can still manage it. You should keep trying the recommended hair growth products in the meantime since it's bordering you that much. ...And maybe you'd grow a beard too when you get older. That might give you the confidence to try out more daring hairstyles if your thinning and receding hairline gets worse. You know, something 'Banky-W-esque'. You'd love it. |

It changes nothing really. You, sir, and the Christian lot would always be tagged as "infidels"; mere animals to be hounded and hunted to death by these sanctimonious Islamic folks. Your philanthropy wouldn't buy you reprieve, your charitable deeds wouldn't erase the eventuality of your innards being gutted by Herdsmen who delusionally assume you are a threat to the bovine species they crisscross our country with. You'd do better if your wealth helps bring succour to the brothers in Christendom in Agatu and Southern Kaduna where 'Christaincides' have been on with the backing of the bigoted powers that be. It's alright if you keeping hoping your acts of philanthropy would save you. It's alright if you think you can change mindless beasts with targeted acts of kindness. It's alright if by the time you realize you ill-prioritized , we'll all be dead and what's left of us confined to the pages of history and multimedia uploads of our memories and moments on the internet. Lalas247: He had no beard? No full, thick beard? He stood no chance then. LOL. I know that feeling. I've walked that path and somehow I could always justify it 'cause either party wasn't really seeing anyone serious. The last thing I ever want is to end a relationship on a messy note. Most guys just drift away. No hurting words, no fight, no clue. We just drift away like a life buoy riding the ocean currents and hope it'd dawn on the female that the concept of 'us' has ceased to be. Somehow, the ocean currents of life washes us on her beach in the future and when she approaches with recognition and nostalgia, she has questions in her eyes. "Why did you leave me? Why did you destroy us? We never had any lingering disagreement and the sex was great. What happened?" Her eyes are narrowed to slits and every time she blinks I can see the held back emotions flash past the whites in her eyes. She expectant. She seeks answers, she demands answers. I owe her that much so I sigh, 'I wasn't ready to give you want you wanted. You have always been the one woman in the world I love enough to even kill for and I was scared to let a woman have that much power over me. ' "And you are no longer scared now?", she asks. ' I am but running away from us wasn't the answer. Avoiding something so beautiful wasn't the solution. Now I had to tell you that. Time has taught me that much.' If I wish to pull the strings just a little more, we'd be spending the weekend together. Now tell me how she can protect herself from that much sweet-talk? Some of us men could be at fault too. 3 Likes |
