Yesterday, Obi was at Gumi's residence where they shared ideas on how to improve security if he wins the election. A move that negates the aspirations and ideals of the youth just as an officer who participated during the endsars movement became a stalwart in Obi's presidential campaign.

I had a discussion with some APC supporters from the North here in Abuja.

Remember I am a Tinubu supporter, though I am voting for Peter Obi.

So as we we discussing as Normal APC guys, about Tinubu's chances, these guys shocked me.

They told me that this election is between Peter Obi and Atiku.

That the Northern votes are majorly for Atiku, while the rest is for Peter Obi.

I pretended to be disappointed in their statement and they laughed.

I asked them why were they supporting Tinubu in APC, when they know the North will vote Atiku?

They said prior to the campaign, they were told that Tinubu is coming with billions of dollars, so they should position to get their share. And that's what they are doing.

They said even the Presidency is working for Atiku. I told them I doubt president buhari will betray Tinubu by working for Atiku.

They said Buhari is the president and not the presidency. That Buhari is not interested in who wins 2023 elections. That The rigging machinery of APC is controlled by the presidency and not Buhari.

And that presidency is working for Atiku.

I asked how Tinubu got the party ticket without the support of Buhari.

America has New York; a global hub of businesses. It's not out of place that Nigeria has a similar hub of businesses as Lagos. It's same for most countries today, that doesn't make,the governors of those states any way better than other less corporate States. It's even a privilege for Tinubu, that he served as governor of Lagos State, not the other way round.
Lagos is a historic function of political, corporate, entertainment activities and events with memories that connote neutrality. It is foolish to give tribal credits to any groups for any reason. I'm simply saying Lagos state is a function of collaborative efforts of diverse inputs from different ethnicities. If I were to give credits, I'll put Lateef Jakande at the top of the list.
But it's crazy how people are fast to remember those who put them in bondage with a pot of porridge, than the man who offers them freedom to play in a green field of orchards and make for themselves the best quality of juices, as life permits.
It's needless for Yorubas to keep emphasizing ownership of Lagos in every conversation. Last I checked, they're the only tribe that has the undocumented, but valid license to stage road blockades and throw huge parties, blasting fuji sounds to the heavens.

Yorubas are a wonderful breed. I miss them whenever I'm out of their space. Same for the Hausas. The Igbos give me a surge in my blood to work harder and not give excuses. The Southerners, (Niger Deltas), inspires me on the need to reflect hospitality and acceptability..
