Is Lagos a city?
You never heard of Lagos city? You may not understand it since you are not not connected to it
Travel › Re: Which Is The Richest City In Nigeria? by Ttalk:
Lagos is blessed by God to be the father of all states in Nigeria, apart from being a coastal city with Atlantic ocean that make access to other country of the world possible, it is equally a gateway to West African countries and has the best form of transportation system in Nigeria, roadnetwork, airport and deep seaport.

A state that ceased to be capital of the country over 20years ago still attracts modern and latest development. Dangote refinery, the largest single refinery in the world and Eko Atlantic are not just development of the present but would remain relevant many years to come.

Lagos State attracts the best human resources all over Nigeria, a cidatel of excellence and an aggressive and competitive place where merit becomes the norm. It's indigenous people have entrenched love and harmony into the city making it becomes a culture of every inhabitant of Lagos state.

Lagos is a learning ground for success due to its competitive nature of limited resources compared to it's huge population.

It has huge economy being the commercial nerve of the country, its a city of professionals, businessmen, home for entertainment, sports and games.

When you compare Lagos with other states in Nigeria, you can only refer to her as ancestor while others cities are it's descendant children

Where were you, your coward IPoB and your irrelevant Ohanaze when Sowore was at the forefront of support for Kanu?

All politicians are the same, from Obi to Osinbajo to Tinubu to Atiku and all others. Always making reference to people who seek assistance from them but never remember those who helped them without asking for any reward.

Politics › Re: Why Tinubu Nomination Will Give The PDP A Presidential Choice Dilemma. by Ttalk: 9:34am On Jan 22, 2022
princdebola201:
politics doesnt work that way. I guess you pdp apologist have same fantasy of pdp northern candidate defeating APC southern candidate when verifiable statistics says otherwise.

In the history of nigeria election , southerners have edge over northerners when the face off in general election

Nnamdi azikwe defeated ahmadu bello
Mko abiola defeated tofa
Obasanjo defeated buhari
Gej defeated buhari

PARTY POLITICAL STRUCTURE, AND MACHINERY IS WHAT DECIDE ELECTIONS.

Not that fantasies of a northern candidate blablabla in PDP foot soilders head.

APC HAS THE FORMIDABLE POLITICAL STRUCTURE ,MACHINERY AND POWER OF INCUMBENCY WITH BUHARI CULT FOLLOWERS

Like i said pdp don't stand a chance even with any northern candidate.
It is possible for APC to lose 2023 election, and one major factor that could lead to that defeat is the rumour of fuel increase, even if lazy PDP fail to lash on that opportunity, the masses would take it upon themselves and punish APC if government dare increase pump price before election

The discussion so far has not properly emphasised vote apathy which could affect success of a southern candidate. The awareness about self determination across southern nation has gained huge diehard followership especially in SE and SW and the continue detention of the principal actors in the person of MNK and Igboho would further reduce voting turnout

It is too early to predict who becomes what because a lot is expected that could shape the outcome of the election
Politics › Re: 2023: Yorubas & Igbos, Remember Restructuring In 2023 by Ttalk: 11:07am On Jan 21, 2022
gidgiddy:
You dont get it, you can only restructure Nigeria at the national assembly and the North are controlling over 60% of it while the South has about 38%

The South can unite all they want but unless you have s magical way of getting two third vote, or 67%, there is no way of restructuring Nigeria

Southerners dont know how much of slaves they are in Nigeria
You are referring to constitution amendment which would never address some contentious ingredients of restructuring.

A genuine restructure would take the form of national conference and not constitution amendment that has been forced into the mind of the people by those who don't want restructuring.

Politics › Re: Why Tinubu Nomination Will Give The PDP A Presidential Choice Dilemma. by Ttalk: 9:28pm On Jan 20, 2022
How I wish discussion on this forum would be interesting like this without throwing tantrum and jab with unnecessary taunting.

The following factors are what I believe would shape the outcome of 2023 election

1. Performance: To every Nigerians, both APC and PDP have performed woefully and may not get tangible point for their performance.
However, PDP has failed to capitalised on the poor performance of the present APC government, a national protest backed by PDP stalwarts would have been a good weapon to use during campaign, but their silence over the year could be interpreted by the electorate as admittance of guilt that they won't have done better.
Again, the propangada used by APC to snatch power is still very much visible and they would deploy it to sell their achievement in infrastructure especially on rail transformation and agriculture.

2. Religion: This would create a greater problem for APC than PDP if the former decides to give it's ticket to Tinubu, there's little elite persuasion would do to convince average Nigerians who are very emotional when it comes to religion, chosing southern Muslim candidate and Northern Muslim or Christian VP would make APC loose many non active partisans from both south and north.

3. Candidate: APC would do better with a southern Christian candidate and a northern Muslim VP, this would just be natural and would not raise any religion sentiment across the two regions. PDP seems to have weak candidates from Atiku to Tambuwal or Pius Anyim, none of them seems to have passionate followers like Buhari and Tinubu command, though Atiku is a factor, but he hasn't boost his record in the eyes of Nigerians in the past 6years while in opposition rather than secluding himself from national politics by staying most past of his time in Dubai.

If Tinubu and Atiku emerge, issue of corruption becomes neutralised as both men is seen as been corrupt and any party using that to win vote is just wasting his time.
Osinbajo will gain more points for clean record on corruption when placed against Atiku

Power of Incumbency: It is clear to Nigerians that APC would damn any consequence by weilding Incumbency power just like they did in Osun election.

There is no attachment in politics. Not even regional agreement what we have is solely about party.

Stop bringing region or tribe when discussing politics, it is strictly party participation and not regional participation

Politics › Re: Is The South Actually Waiting To Deal With Any Yoruba Candidate? by Ttalk: 3:43pm On Jan 17, 2022
Trash.

No Yoruba is forcing you to vote his candidate as everyone has choice to vote candidate of his choice.

There is no any agreement whatsoever that South should vote only for a southerner likewise for a northerner.

Since there's no agreement, there should not be a betrayal.

Your hope of making a region vote a particular candidate doesn't work in democracy, even your wife and siblings would vote against your wish and there's nothing you can do about it. Why not channel your energy towards promoting your candidate through persuasion rather than hoping and wishing
