Based on your response, is an Australian permanent resident able to sponsor his sister (primary applicant) and her spouse for 491? Also would the applicant above still need to meet the English requirement for her nominated occupation by state or a competent score would fly as long as score of 65 Is achieved? Lastly, if the nominated occupation is not available in the state where the sponsor reside, is the sponsor still able to nominate applicant to same state. Cc other gurus too Thanks DoDirtsLikeWorm: |
obaxlove:Your case is very similar to mine and you should get a positive assessment from VETASSES nominating transport company manager and properly aligning your JD with anzsco, your degree is a also not highly relevant and they might only assess 3 years of your experience as positive. |
tunlex01:@tunlex, she is a supervisor. Do you think anything can be done to change the outcome? |

I support you Justwise!, you can go ahead and close this thread and also close nairaland as well, this would teach bellong a lesson right!, how would you feel if you spent 5 years working on a project and someone just take you off within few hours because of one mistake you made, have you looked at how many times he has posted information on this thread. I met bellong one on one after I arrived Australia and he is such a humble fellow, he selflessly offered me advice on jobs and how to settle down quick, he did not ask me to pay him for supporting me with information towards my migration. Think about this, even if Bellong is banned it doesn't affect him offering migration services or continue the business if he wants to, he is very knowledgeable and has good reputation, this would pave way for him with or without Nairaland. With Bellong's help I was able to get a PR 2 years ago and I have also helped two other people outside nairaland, meaning his support has a multiplying effect on lots of people. You should have sent some private messages to him to sort things out rather than ban him I can sense from your response and body language that you are a rigid fellow who believes he is always right. I believe the owner of nairaland would have handled this differently. What goes around comes around mate |
Hi justwise, Bnimz is unable to edit his signature,

This is part of Nigeria's problem, so because of bellong, a million Nigerians would now lose the opportunity to access information on Australian migration, this act would make loads of people stranded in their process now, please think about these people . Either Nairaland likes it or not, bellong's effort on the Australian thread brought more traffic to Nairaland and possibly benefited Nairaland financially, why would someone think of taking the thread down. I believe there should be other ways to do this, we should not exercise power the wrong way, would someone set his house on fire because there is a snake in it!. Please review and rethink your action. |
You can nominate Transport company manager, it's assessed by VETASSES and available in south Australia and Tasmania. Goodluck obaxlove: |
wapu:Government would only pay benefit for children onshore, if the kids come in later and they are within the eligible age they start getting benefit once they land in Australia, no arrears would be paid, but my point was that coming with children would at least guarantee some financial support from the government. |
connectgt:If you all come together especially with kids you stand the chance of getting government benefits because of your children ( if you are PR), you can also all apply for citizenship at same time, also you have a higher chance if two adults are looking for job than just one person. I understand your fear because I was in your shoes about 2 years ago but I am happy I moved in with family at once, as long as you have some money to survive first few months and also if you are open minded and do not mind taking up menial jobs pending when your main job land. Having said that, if your spouse have a high paying job in naija( say 500k per month), then it might make sense for you to come in and settle down before your spouse resign and join you. Please do not quote me as my advise is simply based on my personal experience and might be different in your case. |
tunlex01:Please is it now a requirement to add bank statements in VETASSES application or was this required for further proof of employment?. |
After reading NNB2012's post, I have gone back to re-read the instructions on DIBP's website. The mix up is that the combined eligible list of occupations is for all classes of visa using the MLTSSL, 189, 186, 457, 489.
Hi Bellong, is 190 state nominated visa still on. I noticed it's not among the listed visa above and if it's still available, which of the list is applicable, is it the short-term list? Thanks |
You can try transport company manager nikkycool: |
Good day friends, Please is there anyone on the thread coming to South Australia this month, I need assistance in getting my wife's drivers license down here. Kindly PM me if you can help out. Thanks |
Nope, I used my savings account. Bamz: |
Yes you would get PTA with PR visa and one way ticket. I got from Access bank in April when I migrated with my PR visa and one way ticket. Although, when I tried Gtbank they were strict about return ticket. So carry go Access bank. [quoe author=Bamz post=57342854]Hi guys, I'd like to know if a PR visa entitles one to a PTA (Personal Travelling Allowance). I only know that it's allowed for student visa. Thanks.
|
A logistics manager can nominate Transport company manager and it's assessed by VETASSES. The person just needs to align CV and ref letter to suit the ANZSCO. I did something similar Alphadoor: |
Most of the banks like to disburse PTA on the day you are traveling, i really wonder why they do this, i think you should visit the bank again to inform them of your case. Getting PTA na with "close marking" despite CBN intervention. Did you apply with your Aussie PR visa and one- way ticket, you might need to explain VEVO ( visa verification) to them, they could be having issues verifying your visa and might push your application to one side, ask them what the issue is. DO not wait till 19th March, move now Do update the house on the final outcome. Manly7: |
Thanks, but do I submit photocopy of my docs or the original. SlowlybtSurely: |
Please can you spell out the processes and requirements for getting PTA from Travelex at the Lagos airport. Thanks SlowlybtSurely: |
Please can you give a brief on cost and requirement for the yellow card. Also was polio involved in this card, I know Nigerians are expected to show polio certificate. I am asking because I intend going there for mine tomorrow morning. For your question, all medical documents can be attached under "health evidence". Thanks. wittyshey: |
Thanks. But would this be required at the visa application stage or when travelling oknee: |
Dear Bellong and other gurus, please i will like to confirm if polio certificate requirement by DIBP is for adults and children OR children only. I have immunization record card for my kids and this includes polio, can this suffice as a certificate?. If it includes adults, how do i get the certificate?. Please advice, as we are hoping for a direct grant and not back and forth with CO. |
