Dear all, are job positions and experience such as Intern and Trainee eligible for express entry.

Internship is not recognized as work experience but rather full time or contract jobs.

No, they are different. You can google both institutions.

Please Wes said awaiting verification from institution, does that mean they have received the transcript.

Yes, they have received your transcript and also sent a verification letter to your school to confirm the authenticity of the document.

Goodluck!

Hi Bro, am still a learner like you o. Anyways......

IQAS and WES are both credential evaluating bodies. They are both recognized and acceptable by CIC. However, WES is more recognized than IQAS while IQAS is faster and cheaper compared to WES.

I evaluated my ND & B.Sc using WES but it took me exactly 3 months & 1 day to get my ECA report and also spent more on courier services. Due to the long processing time, I am using IQAS for my wife.

These are just my opinion and I stand to be corrected by the gurus in the house.

Goodluck bro!

Hello Everyone,
please has anyone done WES evaluation by sending in only copies of certificates without transcripts?

You have to send your transcript to WES via your school.

You can do the two simultaneously. WES takes time so it's better you start now!

@harton, tnx very much for the response.

I guess am d only one to do PAR being the principal applicant?

Both of us will do IQA if our qualifications are not exempted right?

I have done IELTS and scored above there requirement. She will do hers next week too.

Can't WES evaluation suffice for the IQA?

Must I have a job offer before I can submit EOI or I can submit and update later?

Is it possible I get a job offer outside Auckland via websites from here?

Thank you.

Pls must I send my credentials to WES? I'm going for skilled worker.... Because I have Bsc n other certification like I'm welding n NDT n an instrumentation certs as well... Some I did out side Nigeria then will my IELTS result cover my spouse or she will have to write hers?... Some should please help out...

If you want to claim points for your qualification, you must send your credentials for evaluation to WES or IQAS. Also, your wife should write a separate IELTS too if you want to claim points for her. Make sure you aim for 8777 for LSRW.

Goodluck!

My brother.. I registered with a site, got the link through one of the links posted by @hartson earlier, and it led me to a page to log in my credentials as a jobseeker outside NZ. I think it was the third link or so; please try it too.

Also, since there is no POF issues, i intend to employ the services of a recruitment agency, if i have to. I feel it is worth it; with a job offer in a pay range of at least NZ$45,000.00 +, one will be in a good position to pick things up from there grin.

OK Baba, will check the job link out. Pls carry me along o as per the recruitment agency matter.

Tnx Bro

@tundechange,
1) You can submit an EOI and may well get selected based on the skills needs in NZ at a specific time. You stand a better chance if you have a graduate spouse or get a job offer though.
2) I think you will be required to do PAR if your qualification was not in any of: NZ, CA, U.S.A, U.K and may be SA.
3) Refer to the links posted by @hartson initially on this page - Unemployment rate is at 5.3% in NZ at the moment.
4) With respect to time frame for getting NZ PR, It is case specific. check: http://www.migrationbureau.com/newzealand/faq.php

I have a total of 140 points (Have a PG qualification and skills in area of absolute skills shortage; my spouse also has a competent level English and a graduate - level cool but i still feel my best bet is to secure employment there first since it is doable.

@hartson, how far; have you paid the requisite charges for submitting your EOI?
The NZ Immigration process still looks easy now.. I hope many of us will take advantage now before things get tougher.
@linaluv, you are correct. I want to add 'explainable' to the fund.

@etfash

Thanks for the swift response. My spouse has a very good score in IELTS and also a graduate level 4-6., If I factor in her academic qualification, my score would be 115 but I don't do that because she would ve to do IQA too. #Managing cost

Secondly, how do u intend to secure a job over there while you are here? I wana follow same route too. Make I be like u grin

Tnx bro

Hi guys, thanks to the initiator of & contributors to this thread. I have read the thread from page 1 to 4 and learnt lot.

I have a total point of 105 after filling the points indicator, what is my chance of getting an ITA as the cut off is 140 points and above?

Am I also required to do PAR assessment before submitting an EOI?

What are the chances of getting a job based on my qualification & work experience?

What's the minimum & maximum timeframe to getting a PR?

Thank you.
