I won't contest with you since you can't even differentiate the embassy/consulate and a commercial partner. You're too desperate. Just start reading from 2014 to know that the UK Visas and Immigration's new commercial partner is Teleperformance and they have ONLY three submission centres in Nigeria. Ikeja, Victoria Island and one in Abuja.

At Ikeja you pay extra N18,000 to submit an application. I won't educate you on this subject. Use google, but please stop misleading people here. Bye
LOLOL.... well i can not differenfiate AM AN ILLETRATE LOL.... can you quote me exactly when i said or mentioned VISA fee... stop being paranoid ... and get a grip..... If you can not quote me then shut up....

Mis leading people... if you do not know what to say hold on to that bye .... STOP BEATING AROUND THE BUSH.... MY POINT TO YOU MR IS YOU ARE VERY WRONG ABOUT VISA BEING ISSUED... AND IF YOU DO NOT KNOW THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN VISA ISSUING AUTHORITY AND VISA APPLICATION CENTRE ... I BELIEVE YOU SHOULD BE THE ONE SPEAKING TO MR GOOGLE...

IF YOU HAVE LOST TRACK LET ME BRING YOU BACK YOU SAID (FrontPageLawyer:
@tunderule2016 Submission of application at Teleperfomance Ikeja attracts extra N18,000 and applications are treated here in Nigeria and it takes from 5-14 working days for UKBA to reach a decision, while at Teleperformance Victoria Island, you don't have to pay the extra charges aside your visa fee and applications are treated at Sheffield UK. @ifyalways was right. )

Firstly, you have read what ever you are reading wrongly because @ifyalways was responding to @franktalk007 which i was not even in that conversation.... SO TELL ME HOW DID TUNDERULE ENTER THIS MATTER....

IF YOU ARE HATING PLEASE TELL US SO WE CAN KNOW .. ABI DID I COLLECT YOUR WIFE!!!!!! GETS A GRIP MR AND GO HUG A POLE!!! THAT WILL HELP YOU GET STRAIGHT!!

Please stop misleading people here. All I can do is laugh since you don't know what N18,000 is meant for and you cannot differentiate the consulate/embassy from a submission centre. Let me give you a little assignment, start reading from 2014 and you'll know what N18,000 does at teleperformance IKeja.
What is mis leading here .... I asked you a simple question.... which deserves a simple answer...
Firstly, The UK Visa Application Centre in Ikeja is converted to a User Pays VAC and not the VI.... secondly, every payment you make it is online so please THE MAN that does not mis lead.... educate me ..

I am telling you categorically that what you said about processing of VISA is wrong; this is my point to you ... the Visitor visa is done in NIgeria (abuja) and Settlement ( Sheffield).

Mr lecturer giving assignment ... why dont you give yourself an assignment and gets your facts right. 18000 Naira is for what that is all i asked you ...
Mr LECTURER IF YOU NEED GLASSES PLEASE TELL THE ROOM WE CAN HELP YOU OUT .... because in no shape or form , have i told or mention any location to anyone here or specifically told someone about the cost of visa fee... SO IF YOU ARE HAVING A BAD TUESDAY GO DRINK OR BITE YOUR PEN(BIRO AS IT IS CALLED)

The uk in sheffield can not verify any document from uk... The uk government from Abuja have a way of calling banks.... and trust me if there is one thing i know about uk... they are stingy with funds... the government does not even want to spend any amount on your application... so taking your documents to sheffield when it is a visitor visa i disagree..

If you are submitting a settlement visa it is treated in Sheffield regardless of where you submit in nigeria. Every zone have there section.. Every submission from Southern Africa Goes to Pretoria , South Africa; Every western africa goes to Sheffield in UK....American also are directed to Sheffield, Australia and that part of continent are directed to Manila in Philippiness.... so every section have got there Zone..

Nigeria states can not have two zones.... what is the 18 000 naira for ?

I Believe you do know that when you check visa processing times.... which you can check below... you can either chose Lagos or abuja, there is nothing like lagos VI or Lagos Ikeja so i will disagree with that except you show me otherwise..

I just got a UK visa for someone last month and it was applied @ VI... I can confirm to you it was issued in ABJ.

VISIT visa is issued in Nigeria (Abuja) , Settlement Visa is Processed in (Sheffield , Uk)

please how much is the visa fee in naira?
This will depend on your bank.... The settlement visa application that i submitted recently ( Access bank charged the card for 302naira for 1 $)

Access bank allows 3000 USD to be spent weekly so it was used but GTB only allows 1000 usd in a month...

they will definitely have different exchange rate but i am certain it will not be less than 300$

CBN rate is 198... if not for the bad government... bank is doing their own rate I suppose to the CBN rate. If you have someone abroad that you can use there card it might be cheaper for you....

Call you bank and ask them how much is the rate that you intend to pay for visa and lets hear what they have to say

But i have another account with over 4m which i intend to print the statement along with the former (The former is my salary account).
How about that?
Good you can show that and make sure you explain thing in the additional information box. is your salary paid in specific dates or does it vary with date? if it varies please print out ... and circle all your salary paid section... to make it easier for the ECO and it gives direction that you know what you doing.

Give it a shot..... But make sure you get letter of introduction from employer and make sure you draft a personal letter.... it helps a lot.

Shares, properties too.

introduction letter form the company I work with.
letter of appointment
3months pay slip
flight ticket
booked hotel reservation(payment on arrival)
statement of account
pension certificate
reference letter from my office cooperative.
Arm pension statement
landed property
My own company which I registered last year, I have not paid tax on it but I have the tax identification number cos it started its operation last month.
self introductory letter.

these are the documents I intend to submit ....please any additions or subtractions
Well adding your own company will over complicate things... only add your company if you are paying yourself salary but if you are not i do not think it is necessary...

If you have shares or car registration you can add but it is optional. Make sure you utilize the ADDITIONAL INFORMATION box to explain everything and anything .. from explaining what you intend to go do in uk and your plans ... and here is a strong sentence you can add in any of your writings..

( Do you have traveling records)?

I wish to apply for a short Visit Visa (6 months) to visit the United Kingdom (type purpose here) during my leave period in the month of (December, 2016) which I intend to meet every immigration rule by not over staying and my traveling records speaks for itself.

Thanks Tunde. I really appreciate your comment i think i will cancel the appointment according to your advice. But will i be refunded for the appointment fee or i will have to use it later in future when applying?
Bruv there are two options... You can decide not to cancel it .... and go ahead.. but make sure you meet a lawyer that can do Letter of agreement indicating such deposit of funds... You do know there are limit to how much can be said in public forum. You can proceed with the application but you will needed to be guided properly and i will say get that letter . A good lawyer will know what i am talking about.

thanks tunde this is really helpful ......
so how much would u suggest I have in my account ?
cos am still getting a letter from my cooperative were I work, ARM savings and my Pension certificate.
I am sponsoring my self.
You welcome .... it is hard to be specific... cos i have nto really read much of your thread to know how much yous aid you have in account ... but 500k is for maintenance, have you booked accommodation? the 500k does not include accommodation and flight... You can do accommodation @ booking.com or https://www.9flats.com/

Do flight booking ... KLM does pay at office flight payment so you can choose that.

Regarding where you work ;

If you are employed, you will need the following:
o Letter confirming your employment
 This letter needs to be on a company letterhead
 Needs to be dated
 Needs to state all contact details of your employer
 Needs to state your starting date of employment
 Needs to confirm that permission for leave has been granted
o Confirming travel dates

Hello all,

I will be travelling to the Uk very soon and applied for visa last week but need get some things clear.

I have already applied and scheduled an appointment for next week but after going thru this forum i realized i goofed by paying a huge deposit into my acct last week. The deposit is actually from a contribution i am making with my colleagues at work and it was my turn to collect last week so i got the money in cash then deposited it into my savings acct before moving it to my current account last week.

My monthly contribution appears in my account statement as it is a regular monthly payment that goes out of the account as soon as my salary is paid.

I have already fixed the money in time deposit leaving about 200,000 naira in the current account.

My questions:

-Can this affect my chance of being issued visa
-Is it possible to cancel the appointment and re-apply maybe later so it won't look like i decided to inflate my account because of the visa.

You advice would be highly appreciated.

Thanks.
Appointment is the easiest to cancel.... Well to be honest that lump sum deposit is a big FLAG!!!! except you have a big way to explain... or maybe in the history of your account you have had a large lump sum deposited often..

As for me... I will advice to cancel the appointment and prepare properly. But some people might say otherwise but this people reason directly they dont think otherwise so immediately they will think it is because of your traveling you deposit that.

If you intend to go ahead with the application, then you will need a lawyer... to come up with something showing you and your friend are into such business that is as much as i can say.... Hopefully the lawyer will understand what i just stated.

Stay blessed and Good luck

franktalk007:
Good morning people,

I will like to know my chances of being issued a visiting visa to the UK. I earn a monthly income of#150,000, Paid #37,000 monthly to service a loan from my employer, earn other incomes aside monthly Salary three times in a year as stated below;

A. Housing allowance upfront - #357,000 January
B. Profit sharing bonus - Over #200,000 April
C. Education allowance - #262,000 August
D. 13th month Salary - #42,750 December

I am married with two kids, I will be traveling alone for 7 days with an invitation from a family friend, my 6 months statement balance of #723,000

Issue here is what I will quote as monthly income, amount planned for trip and if I will spread other income to arrive at monthly income or state categorically that my salary include some em bloc payments at intervals in the year.

Also does submission in Ikeja VAF has advantage over V/Island? Reason for my question is the varied visa fee for the two locations

Your prompt answer will be appreciated.
Firstly, i dont think there is any preference with VI or Ikeja or ABuja.... Because My first Visa i got it from Lagos and the others which i was involved with was approved in Lagos.. so please ignore that , all your documents are been sent to the same location. I think your visa is straight forward but you will need to submit the right documents..

The other incomes you earn is it from the same employer? if so then u dont need to say too much in your employer letter.... but in the additional information BOX you need to explain all this clearly. Make sure you show ties your family is a tie which is good ... so in the additional box ; also explain about your wife and kids , let them know your family is here and nothing can hold you back in UK...

regardless of the amount of days you are traveling they issue 6 months even if you are staying 7 days and from my experience , knowledge UK proof of supporting funds goes this way!!!!
Applicants show that they have approximately £800 per month for the first two months to cover initial costs.
(important)

If you are employed which you are, you will need the following:
o Letter confirming your employment
 This letter needs to be on a company letterhead
 Needs to be dated
 Needs to state all contact details of your employer
 Needs to state your starting date of employment
 Needs to confirm that permission for leave has been granted
o Confirming travel dates
o Payslips (ideally last 3 but 1 is sufficient)

With this in mind your visa will be granted.....

Thanks for your reply. I receive money from various sources and it has been like this for over 6months and this is not my salary account but personal. I will get the receipts you said
Then ... you just made your life easier then, either get invoices showing those payment or explain in the additional information box about the inflow of payment . Your application is straight forward. Just make sure you show why you are getting those payment either through running your own little company by the side and invoices are made out to your clients or if you know otherwise a method that shows service rendered to the people that paid you.

Thank you bro. I can all these documents but for the 2m u know lawyers do a lot of outside jobs so I don't know what evidence will be needed to show the source of that
In your bank statement it will show that you have been paid meaning credited . In your account do you have someone aside from your employer that deposits money into your account? If you do ... that will make your live easier... or moreso, you should do invoices for some of the payments made into your account and make sure they are stamped or on a letter headed. That proves ties and work you have done...

If lump sums are deposited for the purpose of this visa application.. i will advise you should be careful because you will be refused. They are smart psychologists and one of the best at what they do.. so as FrontPageLawyer make sure you balance your sheet very well.

Good luck!!!

I will be sending her:
Invitation letter,
Passport page,
Biometric residence card,
Bank statement,
then an explainatory letter.

From her end:
Bsc certificate
Birth certificate
Bank statement
passport
You will need more than this Eyiye.... they need to know you are connected so birth certificate for you also is important..... The major reason you want her to come to visit you .. will play an important role in her situation so you need to have a strong reason why you need her to visit you .... and I will want you to know this small mistake most Nigerians do ... they do not utilize the space where it says ADDITIONAL INFORMATION..... Please use that box wisely, to explain Your connection, why you want her to visit, how much you miss your sister but because of work or other reasons you cannot be in Nigeria and most importantly, you will let them know you know the implication of her not returning back to Nigeria. Let them know you know the rules and your records can show you are a law abiding person and so is your sister.

I believe you understand what i mean... so i believe i have been able to hit the nail ont he head for you .. Good luck!!!

She is 27 years old, she just finished university and her NYSC. She is presently staying with our parents. I plan for her to come in July.
OK.... that age is very tricky.... But i will be 100% honest with you ... it is 60/40 but with the right documents and prayer it can be over turned to 80:20 in your favor. I dont want you to feel i am being negative .. NO!!! i am just very objective and i do not want you to waste money .... so i have to be honest and direct with you ....

The two key requirements are:
1) That you can maintain and accommodate your sister during her visit, without recourse to public funds. This can be done by using your finances since you sponsoring her visit.

2) That she intend to return to their country of residence at the end of her visit. This can be done by showing strong ties to their home country. Some examples of how this can be done are: Employment, Education, Family ties, Property and any other commitments she has to where they live - I.e. (anything) which will show their intent to return...

That anything means everything !!!!! The link below is the official documents and steps needed but not fully explained and because Nigeria has got records we have to show more documents!!!! Let me know if you still need more help!!!

Here is a link that shows the supporting documents needed...

Please people in the house, How do I apply for a visiting visa for my sister who have just finished schooling and has not started working. What documents can she use to tie her home. I will be the one to send her invitation and I will also sponsor her.
That is a bit tricky and hard... with the present situation with denials.... I do not want to scare you but i have to be objective.... first how old is she? where is she staying presently , is it with your parents (why asked is to try and build a case with parents). When do you plan for her to come .... and when you say schooling (University i presume?)

With the present situation you posted , there is high chance of denial except a great case is built... so answer the few questions above and will see the advice i can help with.

I am currently filling the UK visa application online, but they require details of hotel reservation.

I have gone online trying to do an hotel reservation but it requires credit card, can anyone advise me how to go about this?

Appreciate your positive feedbacks.
Use your GTB cc to make hotel reservation..... some of the hotels do not need you to pay out-rightly they jsut want you to book. You can try booking.com , they allow booking without payment.

Your salary is on point..... Applicants must show that they have approximately £800 per month for the first two months to cover initial costs. This is maintenance cost. 3 month original bank statements printed from a teller at your local bank..

oanda.com to do you calculation ( lets say approximately 500k) not up to that though.

The most important thing is to show you have things that will bring you back to nigeria....
property documents..... and maybe other relevant document that will show you will be coming back....

 Reservation confirmation showing dates booked and contact details

 Letter of invitation
 Needs to state the date
 Needs to state the address
 Needs to state the invitees contact details
 Can be faxed or scanned and emailed

 Lease agreement can be used
 Can be faxed or scanned and emailed
