Go to getintopc.com and download the ISO file. It's about 4gb. You can burn it to a CD or flash drive and install OR you can mount it and install using PowerIso or daemon

Actually bidding is done every other week, sometimes it may be done weekly, but more often than not its bi-weekly(every two weeks).
For the rest of this quarter bidding will be done every two weeks, next bid date is 20th October as per latest CBN circular on their website.

There is no short or medium term with inflation, what you have is "while the inflation lasts", if you bought a plot of land for 15m in 2013, and by 2015 you have spent about 25m developing it, if you run out of cash, to dispose such asset at 40m, nobody will come near it, the final disposal price will be a function of your desperation.

That was why by August 2014, when the country was heading towards recession, smart investors hedged their funds against inflation, no capital investments, by second quarter of next year, they will buy off the assets acquired by those who were not smart enough at a cheaper price.

Properties dnt appreciate in recession, it actually depreciates, so long as his 17% edges against inflation (unlikely though) then TBN is a sure bet

You can also plough back your interest and compound the return on your TB investment.

3m - 3.5m rent is a return on investment of about 7% per year.

TB at the last stop rate of 18.3% for 1 year would have given a return on investment (true yield) of over 21% if the entire 45m was invested upfront. That means 3 years worth of rent at the end of the 1-year tenor.

Remember also, the risk profile is different. For Treasury bill, it's considered risk-free. Like @Tunene66 said, property value and possible rent appreciates. But there can be gaps in the rent and it's not always guaranteed. However, there's tangible value in the pride of ownership especially if it's your first home.

An option is to have the best of both opportunities. While you are working on your building plan and maybe CofO (assuming you've bought land already), you can invest the money and get the ~20% returns per year.

well, a year ago, the fgn bonds 5yr tenors were actually about same as the 1 yr ntb but now it's much lower.
Also, I were to follow that thinking above, I would expect 91day ntb tenors to have higher yields than 366 but again that's hardly the case. So my confusion remains

noticed the yeilds for fgn bonds is quite low compared to NTB. I expect the bonds should have equivalent or even higher yeilds since it is a much longer and hence riskier investment
