SportsAdebayor: 'i'd Die For Togo' by tunjikrown(op): 10:44am On Jan 18, 2006
Togo striker Emmanuel 'Sheyi' Adebayor says he is not worried about being punished by his French club Monaco because playing for his country is more important.

Adebayor helped the Hawks to a 1-0 win over Ghana in a friendly in Tunisia on Wednesday.

Yet when he returns to Monaco from the African Nations Cup he has been told he will be training with the juniors, because he failed to return to Monaco after France's winter break.

He had been training with his Togo team-mates and remained with them rather than returning to Monaco.

But the striker told BBC Sport: "They don't want me to play for my country, but I'm ready to die for my country."

"My country is my country and I'm going to play for them whether they like it or not."

I can't say that we will win the Nations Cup but we will do our best and see what happens

Emmanuel 'Sheyi' Adebayor

"I don't know how they can punish me, I love my country."

He is also considering his future with the French side.

"There are so many clubs who want to sign me in England, in Spain and everywhere," he said.

"So I'm going to think about what I should do and what's best for my career."

The 21-year-old believes that Togo, who beat Ghana 1-0 in a friendly on Wednesday in Tunisia, have now got over the euphoria of qualifying for the World Cup finals.

"Since we qualified for the World Cup our heads have been a bit all over the place, but now we have calmed down and are concentrating more in training," he said.

"It was very important for us to beat the Black Stars to give us more confidence.

"We have a lot of work to do.We have to progress because we are small team.

"I can't say that we will win the Nations Cup, but we will do our best and see what happens."

Togo open their Nations Cup campaign on 21 January against the DR Congo before games against Cameroon and Angola in Group B.

i love his spirit and im waiting for the MAGIC........ wink

RomanceRe: When You're On A Break Is It Ok To Sleep With Someone Else? by tunjikrown(m): 8:35pm On Jan 11, 2006
Missworld:
I really do believe in breaks as long as that person ain't my husband. U have a choice of having sex with your boyfriends but when u get married it's like a must do and that's when u don't need a break whatsoever because there's a bond almost like a divine bond in there. Don't get me wrong but as long as I'm not committed to any man, I can take breaks here and there just to explore for myself and my future.
yea i support your view and like what is happening to me presently ........i think ones need a break especially when the fight or missundersting is frequent and one is free to do what he or she likes because that period of BREAK you are not responsible for eachother.!

NYSC Boss Alleges Call-up Scam
From Tunde Sanni in Ilorin, 11.09.2005
Thursday, November 10, 2005
T he Director-General of the National Youth Service Corps {NYSC}, Brigadier- General Yusuf Bomoi has raised alarm over the extortion of prospective corps members before they are issued their call-up letters for the service year.

Bomoi at the continuation of  Batch ‘A’ 2006 pre-mobilisation workshop organised by the national directorate of the scheme alleged that Students Affairs Officers of some unnamed schools or NYSC schedule officers have been reported to the scheme for being involved in the extortion act.

The form of extortion, he claimed, was aimed at compelling them to pay money or force them to buy certain publications, which are not recognised by the NYSC.

“Let me warn that this practice should stop forthwith as it is the scheme that is always accused of being responsible for such acts."

He added that the scheme has decided to mount an aggressive campaign to educate the students to refuse to be extorted and to enlighten them on the requirements for mobilisation.

He warned participating institutions in the NYSC mobilisation not to allow the extortion issue to be repeated as the scheme he claimed, would not hesitate to drag any offending official before the appropriate government agencies.

Bomoi stated that the workshop was one of the outlined stages for the mobilisation of corps members, which he said, would reach a climax on february 15, 2006 when the batch ‘A’ orientation camp would commence and terminate on March 6, 2006. He told them that the programme of activities ahead of the mobilisation was choked up and called for high “sense of integrity, diligence, honesty and meticulousness to ensure that errors, omissions and mistakes are brought are brought to a minimal and tolerable level if not totally eliminated."

In her introductory remarks, the Director Corps Mobilisation Department, Mrs. Funmi Lasaki said that the pre-mobilisation workshop is the traditional take-off point for every batch as it is the preparatory boardroom where all acts for mobilisation processes are perfected.

She appealed to all participating institutions to take all the proceedings of the workshop seriously remarking that deep internalization of the proceedings and resolutions of the workshop would sharpen and improve their knowledge of data collation and enhance their expertise in other areas of NYSC mobilisation requirements.

The Corps Mobilisation Director appealed to the institutions to brace up and face the temptations and challenges of mobilising the youths so that the theme and focus of the workshop can be realised.

Lasaki explained that the theme has not been chosen to incriminate or vilify any institution but was arrived at based on observations during the mobilisation process and the feedback from graduates of the various institutions who were mobilised to participate in the just concluded 2005 Batch ‘B’ orientation course.

In his goodwill message, Governor Bukola Saraki noted that the programme was aimed at ensuring an impeccable mobilisation policy in line with the federal government service delivery with a view to curbing malpractices by some schools.

Saraki in his message to the workshop explained his administration support for the scheme and pledged more support in the bid to ensure credible scheme that would meet the aims and aspirations of its founding fathers.
