The arrangement we have is we buy the meters, registered in the landlord's name, so obviously we can leave with it and he has to subtract that value and expenses from the next rent payment.

I think that may be better than buying the meter and registering in your name at a location that isn't permanent because if you move it may not be so easy to reintegrate it at your new location, it could be same state but will it be the same line? I usually hear of line/tarrif A, B and C.
Will it also be the same EDC? Heck you new location might even be a different state.

I don't really know how it is done, so I am spit-balling here, contact your nearest EDC for better advice.

It is better this way. We did the same in my location. We just talked to the landlord and he agreed that if anyone is willing to pay for it that we should do it. But it is always better to buy the metres with the landlord's info. So, when the next tenant who's paying for his rent just used his money to buy 5 metres and we all agreed to pay for the installation and all ourselves. So don't try and buy it with your names on it

The pumping machine that we placed over 250k estimated billings on, we still use 2k worth of unit after it is halved for their deduction for over a month, it remained 12units over a week ago These are newly installed prepaid metres and we did not bypass anything. The only people that complained about the heavy consumptions are the ones who are using AC non-inverter. I use my washing machine once in every week. Ironing is done every weekend. The unit was around 79 this morning and there is light since midnight and I will probably check the rest for you to tell you how much I still have left in unit.

pocohantas:

It is impossible that you have all this and use 2k worth of units in two months. Totally impossible. It defies every mathematical calculation. Except you have 1hr of light every day or your heavy appliances have been bypassed.

Oh no, I don't buy more than 2k to 3k every month but and there is always about 5 to 10units more before I buy, but before this morning it's almost 2month now before 90 something units reduced to 11units.

How about a friend who says he hasn't recharged more than once since he moved in to his new house; after he has spent over a year in the house? Is he not using heavy appliances too? Maybe the former tenant bypassed the metre or not but he said he hasn't recharged it more than once. That was last year talk though I don't know now

Sorry about that. I rarely iron at home. I use drycleaners for that. Except once in a while when I need to straighten my jean or top. Nothing beats NEPA light for me. I have been in solar installed houses and the mental gymanistics and calculation is a lot.

Maybe because you don't use AC. AC is the number one enemy of prepaid meter. Worse when it is non-inverter. Use AC, a big refrigerator, microwave, washing machine, TV, sound systems, water heater, electric kettle, etc. Then come back to ask what the OP is using. I bet you only have a small fridge, fan and TV.

Nope, I use a big refrigerator and it's always running, microwave, washing machine, TV, sound systems, electric kettle, and the rest and just only AC I don't use because I know how much it consumes than the rest of the appliances and I am telling you, the 3k I did this early morning, it's around 72 unit rtn and maybe it's because we only have light at night around 8 pm until the next day afternoon around 12pm. Today is surprising though because the light has stayed more than the hrs and we still have it now.
Politics / Re: How Does One Survive With This New Utility Increment? by tunnex190: 4:31pm On Jul 01, 2023
I don't know what OP is using, I don't use AC and I haven't spent more than 2k on my prepaid and I use it more than almost 2 months. Although, we are not using 24hours light. Each flat gets its meter. We don't share. And Pumping machine gets its own metre where we placed old arbitrary billings on and guess what, the 4 flats only contribute just 2k to buy token for that metre and it's been over a month now and we haven't recharged it since then.

Since your dealings are with Federal Secretariat, find accommodation around Bodija and Basorun. These are great areas where you can feel safe and enjoy your night life.

Ammmy:
It's not easy being a single lady without a job now o. The economic situation of this country is now that bad.

When a man meets a woman in Nigeria now, he starts asking her where she works, what she does for a living, especially those hungry guys looking for a woman to compliment their finances.

If u say u don't have a job, they stop talking to you, forgetting that someone who has no job may be financially okay.

When has it become a must for a woman to have something doing? Men are meant to take care of women and spend for them and not the other way round.

In those days, nobody cares if a woman earns money or not.

Senseless talk.

Nigerian Evangelist and Founder of Mount Zion Ministries, Mike Bamiloye, has admonished men to stop maltreating their wives, IGBERETV reports.

Taking to his Instagram handle, Bamiloye stated that men who maltreat their wives are only ''doing'' themselves. He further said that the reason why some men have their prayers unanswered is because of their negative attitude to their wives.

His post reads;

Some people are wicked. Does it mean that all those who attended the Marr never knew about the previous marriage and the kids?

Like you expect everyone who are closed to him and attended the wedding to have known about what he had or had not discussed with her new wife Shuo!!

Or is it a crime to divorce and re-marry in Nigeria? What he had failed about was withholding that very vital information about his previous marriage to his new wife to-be. Nothing concerns the attendees

Celebrities / Eniola Badmus Allegedly Arrested, Revealed As The Person Who Called The Nanny by tunnex190: 3:03pm On Nov 05, 2022
Eniola Badmus, a Nigerian actress, has allegedly been arrested in connection with the death of Davido’s son, Ifeanyi Adeleke Jr.

According to a vlogger, Ifeanyi’s nanny confessed to police during interrogation and named Eniola as the person who distracted her.

She allegedly called the nanny on her mobile phone and then stepped aside, leaving Ifeanyi to answer the phone.

Because her attention was diverted from the 3-year-old boy, he wandered off and ended up at the pool.

It should also be noted that Eniola was the first person to share the tragic news of Ifeanyi’s drowning on social media. When she found out what had happened from the Nanny, she went online and posted about it.

All these Facebook and Tictok cut and join bloggers should go and rest on Davido's matter with their fake news and clout chasing. I come in peace
