true2home:Why wouldn't you recommend in Nigeria. Waffle slabs have been used in Nigeria many years before now. |
Sorry about your ordeal brother. |
Men are hunters naturally. Don't confuse being chased with being pretty or exceptional. All ladies have a class of men that will chase them. From what u decribed I am unsure those males you refer to are 'men'. |
It's unfortunate how people just make comments for the sake of it. There was no blame in that article... Just pointing out that devaluation has never helped us in the past. The real value is production. We do not manufacture jack so if we devalue it may not benefit us. Asides that the money we could have used as shock absorber has been frittered away during past administrations. Edwin Clark knew what he was saying when he mentioned that even drivers became billionaires under gej. No savings coupled with the oil price issue means there are few options and making a decision under pressure is mostly a bad idea. On a personal level, it takes time to get rid of a bad habit how much more a country that has been on the wrong path for many years. No doubt things are difficult now but it will surely get better. |

ednut1:I used to have that feeling too before now... but it doesn't really matter. Life is too short to be serious about these sort of things. Just have fun-thats what matters. It was a little funny and not as stupid as some others making front page. |
Most people want designs for free or next to nothing. They will prefer to give an inexperienced person or a student to do their building design. When they get to construction stage they will spend far much more than they would have due to rework. Then the 'Architect' is to blame. Which Architect if I may ask? There is a process to everything, don't come crying when you ignore the process and the negative results start to show. Get a good and experienced architect, negotiate to get your design done and you will save yourself a lot of time, energy and money while on site. |

Attraction is the key thing. I had a virgin girlfriend who was a good wife material but I didn't have much attraction for. The woman I married was not a virgin when we met,we had sex regularly before marriage and that didn't stop me from marrying her. Major factors that play a role in whether a man marries a woman and vice versa are: Level of education Looks Family background Religion Communication(how well u understand each other) Finance Sexual compatibility Intelligence Taste Homeliness |
Its 'concrete fascia' not 'concrete facial'. |
I have not spent more than 30 minutes on a fuel queue since the scarcity started. Full tank lasts about 10 days which is fair enough for me. I love the power I get from my v6. |
Good health is more pleasurable than sex. |
The building is married to the tree |
Pool parties without pool lighting effects(light balls, underwater lights etc) and people in the pool aint no pool party. |

For me its OAU... Ive been to many schools but none matches the timeless planning and design of OAU.
|
wheredemdey:It's possible. I will do a quick analysis and get back to you shortly. Regards. |
Happy Easter to all Nairalanders. Wish you all a joyous one. |
LadyCherish:I attended OAU. I think the story is the same everywhere u know... though there may be some differences. |
hapheeyxz:Peeps cry on Jury day as their work is being torn apart after many weeks of sleepless nights...especially ladies. 3 design projects per semester takes all your time and money and you still have to cope with other theory courses. Looking back i think its ignorance that makes courses seem difficult. Most of the things we stress on don't really matter few years down the line. We ignore the important things only to find out later that those things we ignored are actually more important. |
Good job joywendy... how about recommended books for beginners. If I could recommend only one it will be 'Chess Fundamentals' by Capablanca. |
Very serious... there is a word for this type of behaviour. |
Local materials can be developed into international standards. |
@Akinov thanks for the info. But the prize money is the most important factor. What's that like?? I heard it's N1 million,500k and 250k.Please confirm. |
youngaz:Titanic is a baby compared to this. |
A position I had against an opponent on Chess.com today. I gladly sacrificed my rook(Rxf3) without calculating knowing I had more pieces on the king side. He lost in the next four moves.

It is a sad story... |
