@oye50, sorry I couldn't get back to you yesterday, I had one of those terrible days yesterday, those thieving ne'er-do-wells at Oshodi played a fast one on me early that morning carting away my wallets with almost 28k, ATMs, important I'd cards and things I haven't even had time to check, coupled with the lil fever I was stuck there for hours. Later in the day, one of my two alternatives school, Freiburg, Environmental Governance, sent me a rejection letter to cap up the already fantastic day. Citing that They had a lot of applications (over 200) for the limited 35 spaces, although I already knew that They will pick up first students that apply with DAAD scholarship (it's one of their programmes) and there is a quota for African students in the programme, but I thought my GP (4.25/5.00) and powerful motivation letter could give me an edge knowing that my Bsc. training doesn't give me room to apply for as many schools as I would wish though I became lazy after one admission.
The disappointment is behind me though, facing my interview now.
Who applied to TUM's Sustainable Resources Management? My docs got there more than a week after deadline yet they uploaded my application documents on their portal, with the caption "study requirements fulfilled", However, no decision yet regarding the scores and admission. it was not the original course I intended to go for. Save for the school's name and location I would choose my current school over the course.

Register with your studentenwerk for subsidied apartments. I think you will be placed on a waiting list.

Then you can search for temporary accommodation using this site: www.wg-gesucht.de and book appointments with landlords

Dont pay for any accommodation until you get to Germany unless someone you trust is on ground to inspect things. Try to contact Nigerians living in or around your city, you can pass the first few nights there while you tend to your already booked appointments or you can stay in a student Hostel ca.30 euros a night for the first few days.

 NB: I applied to this sch since feb with march 1st as deadline for winter 2015.

I know some schools make their decision between 3-6 weeks after deadline. This is 3 months!!!.. Ma'am to be very honest.. Move on to your alternatives and just keep that school aside. Put it at one small corner of ur mind. Because right now slots for visa appointments are on already.

After getting your signature verified you will have to send the documents to the bank yourself.

You cannot book a student visa interview at the embassy in Abuja. You have to send an email to the relevant email address with attachments of required documents.

2) THE PROCESS HAS CHANGED! YOU DONT DHL YOUR BLOCKED ACCOUNT FORM TO GERMANY AGAIN! THE ASIAN LIKE WOMAN COLLECTS ABOUT 4400 NAIRA. YOU SIGN IN FRONT OF HER. SHE GIVES YOU ONE CONFIRMATION SLIP WHICH YOU USE TO BOOK YOUR APPOINTMENT ALONG WITH OTHER SCANNED DOCUMENTS E. G ADMISSION LETTER AND PASSPORT DATA PAGE TO ONE EMAIL ADDRESS LIKE THAT . THEN AFTER LIKE 20 MINS. THEY REPLY YOU AND GIVE YOU A DATE.

I FORGOT TO SAY. THE ASIAN LIKE WOMAN RETAINS THE DOCUMENTS YOU GIVE HER E. G BLOCKED (2 COPIES) ACCOUNT FORM, ADMISSION LETTER (2 COPIES) AND PASSPORT DATA PAGE (2 COPIES). SHE WILL REQUEST FOR YOUR PASSPORT JUST TO SEE IT AND RETURN IT BACK.

THEY WILL MAIL IT THEMSELVES THAT IS WHY SHE COLLECTED THE DOCUMENTS.

Sorry I'm shouting... I experienced everything I wrote just last week wed. June 10. It rained like crazy my shoes were soaked.

The normal process is through embassy. Pls just follow normal process. There's no much time to be very honest.

Let me advice you.. Go to embassy BEFORE 8:00am. Book as fast as possible. A lot of people are booking down..

A very green city, it also had one of the biggest exhibition centres in the world, the city is like a hub, all major transportation networks pass through it, it's located in North Germany, they're Football club is Hannover 96 etc etc etc

They arrived at a final conclusion that the money will only be ready by the last week of August. Now my in my admission letter it is stated clearly that i) enrollment period is 1st of Sept to 15th of Nov. ii) teaching starts on Oct 12th. iii) that they recommend i arrive on the 1st of Oct so I can participate in the orientation process.. Please I need serious advice on when exactly I should begin my acct processing and visa application processing in order to beat time. I need contributions from experienced Nairalanders . You can pls break it down for me date by date i.e when to take each action. I'm confused as I fear the time is too close and might b disastrous

The uni I applied to said processing can take 6-8weeks.. But almost all the testimony have seen here.. They said 4-6weeks.

Bro..I dont know the date yet. I want to attend LMU and the letter would come in next week but they have said that enrolment starts toward the end of september and early october..until I see the date I cant be sure..I suspect the last week or two of September..and they seem very rigid in their process.

I would like to know if the majority of applicants are able to receive the visa in about 4 weeks
