Tinder: Okay thanks, so how do I get the original sent to the German school then, is it after I have gotten my visa with the student transcript or after I have been offered an admission. Or I don't need the original transcript just the student transcript I need. Thnx In my own opinion, the student transcript that will be given to you with signature and stamp on(*of your school *) is an original copy. Do you think it's really any different from the one sent to Germany from your school? The result is the SAME nothing changes just address. Pls I wouldn't suggest you bother much about that. Get your student transcript and certify may be at least 4 photocopies of it and move on to other things. |

Tinder: plz oooo i nid all assistance from our ogas in the house becuz i want to start my application right away for Msc
@dolpaz,adenjnr,honourableseyi,obiwannn,eke40seven
I went to my school yesterday for my transcript and was told its 35k to send to schools outside Nigeria. Please how do i go about this since i intend applying to as many schoools as possible. The guy at the office also mentioned i can be given "STUDENT TRANSCRIPT" please can i use the student transcript for my applications and how do i go about it, if i cant use the student transcript then how do i go about the 35k transcript to be sent to 1 school. Please help ooo. Tnkz The student transcript will do. In fact its what you really need. For almost all schools in Germany that request you send your documents by post. It is the student transcript they need. Just certify it by the high Court or notary public and you are good to go. |

dolpaz: And a quick one for guys whose interview is coming up soon.
Please be advised that the checklist has been changed to the list below.
This is an updated list and expected arrangement as at 07/07/2015 which was gotten by one of our member here from the consulate.
Please, ensure you follow the listing in the right order so as not to be in logger-head with the Rivers state man at the gate (A.k.a Igbo man )
#letStayGuided
#teamWinter Thanks but I went to the German embassy website (Nigeria) just now the checklist is still the same. Where was this new checklist posted or updated? |

Eke40seven: You don't have to wait for another admission to book. Do that immediately if you have your letter. Except if it is stated in your admission letter expressly, the embassy will never know about the German proficiency requirements and even if they ask, tell them you are going to register for a one month intensive programme that will lead up to A1 at Goethe before you start the programme, you may as well even apply for the aforementioned programme as an alibi. My 2 cowries! ****************************** All my hailing bosses, I throw way salutes to all your hailing.....I see you....thanks! i like ds guy.. amahtrendy pls this advice is solid.. amahtrendy: Ok. U're right. This is exactly why I've been delaying. Hoping I get admitted to TUM, but I just received invite for skype interview on 28th July. And dat might cause more delay if I wait more. So I begin process with dis. I hope I can swap even if I have visa interview and dey won't mind. I don't reside in lag so I just started online german language. you are on point |

amahtrendy: Ok wow. Thanks a lot. I'll do these. I really appreciate. hi amahtrendy.. i just scanned through your posts..your schools requires german proficiency A1 right? to be very honest the embassy will ASK FOR IT on your interview day!..its even stated in the requirement checklist on the german embassy website..you need to sort out the A1 certificate thingy. before you book. the only way you can escape A1 is if you have another admission offer that is entirely thought in english and the admission letter STATES THAT german knowledge is not a requirement. i dont know if goethe institute have exams scheduled for july or august or if you have started preparing for the A1 exams..pls do a research on this..if possible i think you can go on with your booking.. |

Try to be at the lagos German Embassy THIS WEEK!!!! Max Wednesday. (July 8th max ds week) Your enrolment deadline is on the 9th of October.. That date is very important. Some people even booked since may they threw their bookings to July.. 2 months after.. So u see** Act this week ma'am. Congrats on your admission once again.. You are good to go |

Cahnellven, your department still get issues with transcipts o..been trying to call you but your number is switched off
Twinkle1, abeg which school be that? My schools accommodation office don gimme room oh...but d money wey i need to transfer to book the room e too much. In Big cities - think Hamburg, Berlin, Munich- it is advisable to get a room before coming. Although it is a risky venture, sometimes its worth it, so as not to suffer the initial accommodation stress. And yes, u transfer the money from 9ja (most times), and it includes the 1st month rent plus deposit for ensuring you keep the house in good condition during ur stay (and in most cases, u get to sign a 6month or 1year contract). The general rule of thumb is that, if the housing ish is been done by ur school's accommodation office directly, then it is safe to transfer money, as you will be refunded albeit not fully (it depends) if you could no longer make it to the school. If however, you are dealing with private landlords and em WGs, guy abeg reach there first before yo pay make ur money no enter voicemail. Be careful however to ensure that both the room cost and additional costs - internet, heating, cable TV, etc- dey part of the rent. Else you go suffer later. Thanks obi1.. I'm just seeing this |

Eke40seven: Did my interview yesterday already...only a few changes in the scenes and location, the questions were same, only from a new person entirely...though I didn't prepare like the last one, this one is way better and more relaxed...and oh! the blonde that conducted the interview was pretty and when she said "wow, you know so much about Germany, I will definitely love to see you go there quickly, you would love it" I couldn't hold back a smile. If you are for a Bsc course, and you are going for a subject course like biology, physics or maths, just brush up you knowledge because you MAY likely do a test, read my last interview session and edit to fit yours. You will be more than fine.
@stuttman, I will give my own input as regards your question soon.......
Anyone going to Germany this winter will be doing a great disservice to oneself if one fails to learn a lil bit of the language. The programme presented by Goethe this August is a better deal than the normal classes and far cheaper @20k....we paid way more. @ kilo4sure I will reply your pm soon
Make I go find money, €1 never enter blocked account since..na prayer man dey. My two cowries! God bless you!!!!!!!!!!! Pls I need a reply from you . Check ur email pls |

Light007: Thanks for the advice. But why do I have to go to Lagos to book an appointment? Thought the booking is done by email? Abeg ooo don't tell me there's been policy change. Clarify please.
As for the schools, I agree that both are good. But I'm also looking at the economic angle. Wish I could get the input of someone who has lived in Hannover. Hmm that's the way it's done if blocked account is your option. As for sponsorship letter.. ask people on here. |
Travel › Re: General German Visa Enquiries Part 2 by twinkle1(m): 5:52pm On Jun 27, 2015 |
Light007: Bro, I sent you an email. Please check. The enrolment deadline for both programmes is 30 September, 2015.
I really don't have solid information on the economic climate in Hannover. I have to factor this into my plans as the courses I was offered by both schools are of an equal footing. I've replied your mail. To be honest. Both unis are good. Whatever school you are gonna pick do know enrolment deadline really matters because the embassy will require some weeks to process your visa. So pls my advice is that u go to lagos embassy after uve gotten ur sponsorship letter IMMEDIATELY.. You said it will be ready this Monday.. Ma guy enter lag sharperly on Monday.. So that max Tuesday (EARLY MOMO!! I.E 6:30am) u should book your appointment. |

nzeBiddle: My pleasure. Btw the interview was successful thankfully. Read up on your course structure, the modules you'd take particularly core courses, but also a number of electives. Know the number of countries that surround Germany and be able to list all; know the 16 lander (federal states in germany); be prepared to state the link btw what you studied in undergrad/ your relevant work experience with the course you're going to study in germany; they will ask if you'd be comming back o *ghen ghen* (better talk truth o ..highest if you nor de come back yarn dem say you go continue to PhD); they will also ask you general questions about the city where your school is; population of germany; who is the president (nor go dull yourself like baba one chance o ...president na joachim gaucke and not angela merkel. The latter is the chancellor). Then one or two other relatively easy questions.
Bon chance! God bless you bro |
