The QS ranking is based on academic reputation, employer reputation, student-to-faculty ratio, citations per faculty, international faculty ratio and international student ratio. Why the ranking should be the least factor to be considered when selecting a university is beyond me. The ranking should be one of the most important factors.

I perfectly understand willy2000 's point ... What is the effect of rankings in German universities .. That one will have upper hand?..

IGI will issue u a black and white copy of travel/health insurance the only thing that will signify that is original is just the stamp. But u need to see Leadways Assurance travel/health issurance @ the rate of NGN12,040. Leadway is located between Costain and Alaka But/stop Surulere.

IGI issued me a proper coloured copy.

I had my interview on the 10th of August, funded the same day, received credit entry confirmation from Deutsche Bank 3days latter. The day before yesterday, I received the much awaited mail from the Embassy to come and pick up my visa. Yesterday afternoon I was among the 19 students that collected their visas at the German Consulate.

To those who are yet to fund as a result of one problem or the other. It is easy to lose hope when your troubles
surround you. Uncertainty and doubt can fill you with fear especially when it looked as if there seems to be no way out of your pain. Continue to trust God for a miracle he never disappoints.

Greetings to my bosses in d house...please those who have collected their visas nd those who are already in Germany, I really need an urgent response about my question. On my visa, they wrote " ERWERBSTÄTIGKEIT NICHT GESTATTET " wc means " GAINFUL EMPLOYEMENT NOT PERMITTED ". Is anything like that on ur visas too? I think tourist or visit visa should have that kinda remarks not student visa. Shld I send a mail to d embassy to ask for clarification coz man must hustle ooo. I no wan hear story when I enter germo.

Well I guess it's the Registration at the foreigners office that really matters.. When we get there, they will define what kinda jobs all type D student visas can take.

It's safe to assume the statement in our visas is for the 90 days validity. And not the 2 yrs. It doesn't sense if it's for 2 yrs because the law approves it.


As we ALL know already 120 full days OR 240 half days is the norm for non EU students.

This is the Drift... You came Here and (1) asked about how to get a student visa..

(2) you said you were about to graduate and and planning to do your Masters in Germany and you ONLY need info on how to get a student visa.

(3) you asked if anyone can give you update for Masters requirements

And on and on and on..

I wouldn't attack you.. It just shows you want to get a visa soonest.. Like now now.. Hadassaheke has told you to calm down.. Yes just calm down

No one gets a visa overnight.. It's a process.. You need to get every single document in place.. Might take months..

So if you don't chill now and take a deep breath you will just be ignored on here..


The first step to a visa is a German admission.. That one sef na another long process before financial means, visa booking and all
