Check the methodology of this LPI ranking https://lpi.worldbank.org/about the pdf link in the end .its also a survey , opinions and it show nothing interesting for me . you can compare logistic , one by one ports activity statistics , roads exchange ect ... It would be better

algerian high way A1 for exemple. 1216 km long from est tunisia to west morocco cost more than 13 billions dollars , 11 millions per km .

and i have two civil engeneer in my family the cost is depending more on the sol quality , the topography and bridges, tunnel ect ... A road in a flat region will cost less than in moutains region .

algerian highways and roads are realy good , same as roads highways quality in europe and even is small distant towns. Show me whats a high quality road in kenya ,cap verde , cost ivory and other in this ranking i will show you the same or even better in algeria . even for bridges ,tunnels , air of rest, lighting ect..


And in quality , A paved road is better than a no paved one no ? From stats only 6,85℅ of kenyan classified roads are paved thats not a sign of quality .

So again for ranking , avoid subjective rankings , best quality , more beautiful ect ... are not objective to put a ranking . and here in this thread there is a lot of non objective no serious ranking .

You can have thousands of kilometres of paved roads but they look lacklustre. Some roads in Kenya cost as much as 10 million dollars per KM.It's all about preferences. Do you want the 10 million dollar per km road or the 3,4,5 million dollar per km road?

Yes the CBC - new curriculum - with digital devices - will help bridge the divide. We are spending a lot on basic education and it will repay. I hope gov really keep momentum on TIVET - We are doing well at university level (enrollment now at 500K) - but we need to have TIVET(vocational colleges) enrolling 3m plus. That is where the problem is now - majority of kids finishing high school and if they don't make it to university - just stick around villages..and end up as useless as those who don't go.

TVETs are they way to go they improve skills of the students
And make them useful in the society
