kentochi: Hi I want visit SA pls can you tell how much it will cost me to apply for 6 months visa. They usually give maximum of 3 months, multiple entry, 30 days per entry. However, I hear they have reduced it to 30 days single visit recently. For special cases however, you may still get visiting for 6 months. But it is really not easy. |

sultan003: Cell C is cheap very cheap but unreliable In terms of data, none is as cheap as 8ta. Even for mobile calls, my MTN is now cheaper than Cell C. I hardly make calls on my Cell C anymore. But I do agree it was the cheapest at one point. |

doubeais: Hello Nairalanders, Please what does "Documentation lacks credibility" means ? My visit visa was just denied the 2nd time for this same reason. Please reply I am anxiously waiting. Thanks. It means they embassy thinks that some of the documents isn't genuine or that something was missing that was supposed to be there (e.g. a signature missing or the format is different from the expected format or there was a stamp missing e.t.c). It could be invitation letter or proof of accomodation or police report or bank statement or any other document. Do you have any document whose source you don't trust? |

Ofon15: Pls Can I Travel To SA To Do The Findings Or Write To Them From Nigeria? Thank You. Depends on you bro. If you have the dough to travel to and fro, you may come over. However, I will advise you send them a mail and inform them exactly what you are trying to achieve and see how they can help. Also explain to them that you can cope with the lectures you have missed so far. You copy your proposed mail here and let others advise you in framing the mail. That way, you can make the best use of the situation. Also, let someone inside get you the e-mail address of the guy in charge of their international students (that is the guy you will mail), the Head of Internationalisation (you will copy him) and if possible, DVC Academics (also to be copied). This is my humble opinion. Peace. |

influential01: @samtol4 thank very much for this explanation, my mind is now cleared about this issue. Formally It looks as if SA trade on their visit Visa. Pls I urgently need those factors of that causes visa denial. Because I don't have 60k to give anybody freely Truth is, some people already have it set in their minds that you cannot get visa without agents. A lot of those guys have stuff to hide (not all of them). For instance, I know this guy who didn't have any form of invitation to SA and only gave his passport to an agent with 120k. Guess what, he got his visa in 2 days. However, if I know I have the right documents, why would I want to pay an agent 60k? For what? When the embassy has stated I can gather my documents and come apply myself. Let's be clear, corruption is high in Nigeria but you don't have to join the bandwagon. I got my visa without paying anyone. I have helped people outside of this thread without them paying any dime (at least 4 in December only). People have come back to this forum and said thank you because they got their visas based on advise from people on this thread. And finally, I DO NOT know anyone in SA embassy. Peace. PS: This is not an invitation to send me PMs. I will not open your mail.Let's do everything in the open. |

ololo12: Yes, they have a record of your visa and information on their system. However, that won't stop them from giving you a visa if you use a trusted agent who has links to the embassy people. SA embassy hardly issue visitors visa, unless you go through an agent who has link with them. @Samtol4, where are you? Did you see this? LOL. ATTENTION everyone, this is not true. Check the bolded part (I made it bold for emphasis). Ask all the people who have been coming back here to say thank you whether they paid a dime to any agent. We preach Do It Yourself (DIY) on this thread. Peace. |

bukayomide: Please house I just got my admission letter last week friday from a school in SA (Vega school of brand leadership) and I was told that study permit application ends tomorrow. I'm totally confused cos I still need to pay for medical insurance, get a yellow fever card and police report... is it that no study permit application will be accepted again? When they say application ends, they mean it ends for that time of the year. It will open again later in the year (about 4 months, for the second semester registration). However, some people have come here to explain how they were favoured and their applications were accepted and they got their visas even after the application cycle had ended. This is not to make you overly happy but to say if you believe in miracles, now is the time to ask God to act on your behalf and cover you with favour. Who knows, you may have a testimony for us here as well. Meanwhile, be sure to explain that you got your admission letter a day before the application cycle ended to anyone that you talk to at the embassy. Cheers, all the best. |

Growingboi: thank you samtol4.
but will the immigration accept 'pay on arrival stuff'? cox someone told me that hotel must be booked and paid for before they will grant your pass into s.a. Secondly, if one is spending two weeks and just pay for a night because he has where to stay. wont they think something is fishing and deport one? samtol4: Capital NO sir .you book one night because the hotel may not b up to your standard that is execuse you give and you may change to bigger ones .They don't expect you to pay full Nights when you don't even know the quality of the hotel .I have seen instances where someone was sent back because of "pay on arrival ".However someone can be fortunate to scale through without paying hotel . @Samtol4 is right. Immigration is no more a joke in SA. Tell the hotel to charge you for one night and send you a proof of payment. You can cancel as soon as you get here. Otherwise, tell your host to write you a letter that they will host you and let them include their proof of accommodation. Cheers. |

drealsheggs: Please are there ways to regularize visitors visa in SA legally. I.e wen someone come to SA using a visitors visa, can the visa be changed or extended and thereby making one to stay in SA to live and survive. the reason why I am asking the question is because I want to apply for a diploma program in nursing , but before admission offer is been granted, there are screening exams that will be conducted by the college and if the candidate succeeded in writing the exams an admission shall be granted. but if the person didn't pass the exams , he or she will need to go through a pre-nursing class for at least a year, so I am thinking of maybe I should apply for a visiting visa in this case. please kindly advise me on this? samtol4: you keep asking the same question even when the answer has been stated before.I said it is possible but not advisable because it takes much documentation and immigration lawyer that handle it wil charge you much .You can't work or study with extended visa ,do the proper thing to avoid "had I known" You suppose come in write the exam and go back to Nigeria ,from there you apply for study permit .It seems you have made up your mind to come with visitor's visa . Goodluck @Sam, I didn't know you saw this before me. I had made a note to do this before I saw your reply. ATTENTION Admin: This is spam. Check his posts. |

abnice2004: pls someone gave dis to me in SA for accomodation clearance.he will include police clearance frm SA to it and a letter from himself. can i use it ? This picture does not show the entire document so please don't take my word as the final answer. I have not seen the full document. But from what I see, I have checked "constantia metering" online and it is an electricity company, not a residential business company. They may have subsidiaries though that are involved in the hospitality business (if that is stated in the hidden parts of the document). But if they do not have subsidiary businesses, I'm afraid this document may not pass the test of accomodation. Electricity business is totally different from accomodation (hospitality) business. Cheers. |

olabanji88: Bros must I certify dem is the school certificate bwith the school seal not enogh to certify me and even if am certifing do I just collect an affidavate from court coveting all the documents abaeli: certifying a document u make a fotocopy of d document, together with original to court. dey dont certify original document. its just to show dat d original copy of d document is real. As Abaeli said, to certify means to say that the photocopy you are sending was made from an original document. So, make photocopies of the necessary documents and take them to the court. Tell them you want to certify it and let them do their magic. It doesn't take time. Cheers. |

Kentrasso: i need to get medical report. someone help pls Depends on where you are. Go to a government hospital and take the form there. They will x-ray you and issue your clearance. It is not difficult at all. Max, a couple of hours. Give it one full day and you are good to go. If you know someone in the hospital, even better for you. Faster process. |
