Transcript in full.

VO: Good morning
Me: Good morning

VO: pass your i20 and passport
Me: I did as instructed

VO: how did you hear about the school?
Me: from Prof Taylor. Prof Taylor is .... cut in

VO: what’s your highest level of Education
Me: Bsc. Economics

VO: what have you been doing after your graduation

Me: after my graduation before going for my nysc, I worked under professor Denola my then HOD being the best student in Econometics in my set. I did that for a while before I left for my Nysc. After my nysc I started working in my uncle’s company and I recently got a part time lecturing Job at XYZ where I work till date.

VO: who will be sponsoring you studies?
Me: I guessed I messed up here by not stating that I got a GA offer that covers 50% tuition waiver and a monthly stipends.
I only said my aunty and uncle.

VO: what are they doing
Me: my uncle own a personal forex business cut in
My aunty is a chief accountant at XYZ

Type for like three minutes and handed me the blue paper.

@100kobo, thank you very much to your support all these while. You are a winner. I am grateful.

I have few challenges that I want the house to help me on. I have fallen a prey of agent before knowing about this platform.
This is my challenge, the agent that helped me to create my account did not realease the log in details. Though we filled the Ds160 form together but he refused to give me the log in details. I want to book another appointment ASAP and I want to leave him out the whole process because he has given my dad a wrong orientation that I should not reapply, that I should travel to Dubai or any other for me to have a travel experience before reapplying which I don’t buy. Is there away I can book another appointment and access my full details with my confirmation number. I feel positive about me reapplying

Sorry about the delay. You can easily get back your account by creating a new account with your own email. During the process, the system will detect your old account when you input your passport number and date of birth. You will be asked to upload your passport data page in order to claim ownership of the old account. Before 48 hours, old account will be moved to your new account after confirming your ID

Okay thanks, I'd do it and still refire the same school

Please don't do standardized test just because of interview purpose. Rather do it so that you can get admission into better schools. Community colleges doesn't fly most times at the embassy. Many people have gotten visa without even writing any standardized test.

And secondly, hope you know they document all you said in your first interview? If you go for another interview with same school and they ask if you took any standardized test, and you say yes while you said no earlier. Don't you think the V.O will see you as confused person? My advice is, if you are writing the standardized test, use it to get admission into better school and refire

Good morning everyone. I was scheduled for an interview on the 5th of December, however, I rescheduled it owing to a delay in the arrival of an important document. The document is available right now and I have already rescheduled my interview. please what reason will be reasonable enough to give the VO for my no show?

You are confusing yourself. You have rescheduled, so where is the no show coming from? You don't have any business with december 5th again since you have rescheduled. Just go for your Interview on the new date you have.

Please what does this mean. Your passport is still with the US embassy/consulate written on my dashboard online. After one has been denied.

They will update the system later. You have nothing to worry if your passport is with you

Well, it boils down to the personal conviction of the applicant if he feels he can convince the V.O on a second trial. For example, if he lost confidence during the first interview and wasn't composed enough to explain why he's going to the US.

In the past, people have gone to the embassy after three or five days and got their visa. I really dont know if this still works now though. So goodluck to him in whatever decision he makes .

Yes, it all depends on why you were refused in the first place. In general, it's not good to rush to reapply if nothing has changed

Please, I would like to know if all legalized documents must stay for 2 months at Spanish embassy. I’m actually applying to legalized my bachelorhood documents.

Ask your school to send your official transcript to the embassy. If you do this, you can overcome the delay that comes from verification

Please, can someone who was denied previously like 5days ago be granted an expedited appointment in the same center (Lagos consulate)?
Please help, it's urgent!

Yes , it's possible for F1 visa but you won't find it funny with the V.O if you reappear within a very short period. They might ask you what have changed in your application or why you think you are qualified now.

Lol. he was not a student there o; he was visiting! In addition, I used "legal status" in the context of being a UK resident.

Read well. He said he was doing his masters program there and applied for usa tourist visa.

I am focused that is why I came here to ask and to be enlightened. I am mainly focused on food and health related courses. I’m trying to widen my option on which would be easier to get schools for that’s why I didn’t specify on one in particular

Health field/food is related to your first degree and not computer science. That's why I said you need to be focused first. Well... looking at your first degree, health field will be a better choice if am to choose.

I’m a 24yr old that just graduated from biochemistry department with a 2.2 and I want to relocate to USA preferably Texas to further my studies. I want to change my field to a course computer science, health or food related. I don’t really have anyone there but I’d like to know more about Travelling and studying there and probably working there too. Thank you

Computer science, health or food You need to be focused first. You don't have a career plan yet

Good day all,
Nice work y'all doing here. I appreciate.

Is it advisable to apply for PhD directly with a BSc. ?

Most of the schools/courses I am interested in mentioned only PhD programs (for roughly 5 years). I have sent emails to some of them asking if these programs are Integrated (MSc + PhD).

And also, I am thinking towards this because of funding available for PhD studies.

If you have good GPA and GRE score, you can apply for direct PhD. You will easily get funding for PhD than Masters

Is it usually stated explicitly when one is banned?

No, but they will tell you your offence and the section of the law you breached. If you ask them during your next interview assuming you went again, they will tell you if you are banned or not.

Please my school is resuming Jan 13th , I was denied on Tuesday . Can i still pay for visa and get date or emergency appointment ?

Has anything changed in your application? If yes, pay another visa fee, and reapply. You can use the emergency appointment option. But if nothing has changed, I advise you give it enough time before going back.

If you say US finding out from Canada yes but no for Canada and UK getting to know from US. On rare occasion does Canada make inquiry about an applicant from the US embassy.

They do. Don't ever hide your visa refusal from those popular engish speaking countries.

The bad thing about this ban of a thing is that. Other embassy’s like Canada and UK share almost the same datebase with USA. They will definitely know about the ban.

Yes, that's true. Canada, Australia, UK, Ireland will know about the ban. They are the popular English speaking countries, so they share info. But I have seen exceptions where people with ban from USA got Australian, Irish and UK visa. It all depends on how you present your case to them. He should just be truthful in his subsequent application to other countries.

There are two papers, refusal note, then a white one that ticks why you are refused. But no banned letter or anything

They won't write ban. Kindly tell us what's written on the whitepaper. Did they mention Section 212(a)(6)(c)(i) on the white paper

Hello everyone, I later got the passport with a declined note, I don't think there's any ban as the letter does not show any. Thank you to all that helped out with info. Will make sure my profile is 100% genuine before I try again, USA or not. Please aspirants should take note and not fall into the same shoes as mine. I believe if there's a ban, it will be in the letter right?

What was written in the note. They don't normally write ban but will you if it's fraud

Hello, good morning everyone. Been following this section for a while but jus registered this morning, I was denied yesterday at Lagos embassy, all went well and I answered the questions to my own best, but the only thing I noticed was that the VO (a guy like an Asian) was not in good mood (coz the guy before me fought with him and gave him a lot of stress and argument). Now I want to refire! Coz am sure I deserve to be approved and I will be approved (in my second attempt) .Please is it possible to still gt a date before 23 December? Please help!

When is your school resuming? Cos that will determine if you use emergency appointment option to get a date.

Visa Approved Transcript

Appointment was by 7:30am in Abuja. Got to the embassy few mins to 7. Let me say this pls pay no attention to the guys outside the embassy they have nothing to offer and do well to keep ur phone at home or at the hotel. only take it along if u really need it. I paid 1,500 just to keep my phone.

The queue was much but saw it through, the security check wasn't stressful at all, I got to the interview room, well it wasn't as I imagined. Saw just 3 ladies conducting the interview. 2 white and a black. The slim white lady (I can still remeber her face clearly) was busy hanging pink latter to anything that comes her way and I was hoping not to get her. The guy she interviewed b4 me didn't even last upto 1mins. He asked him just two questions even before he could answer she cut him short and handed him the pink paper, and immediately she signaled for me to come over.

At the point all my confidence went down the drain and I wasn't myself. I can't remeber all what I said but this is the best of my knowledge.

Me: Hi, Good morning
Vo: How did you find out abt this school (first question)

Me:After I decided to study in the USA I attended EducationUSA Advising Center in V.I lagos where I was introduced to academic website such as Peterson, gradschool, masterportal, which I found particularly...... (cut me off)

VO:Why did you choose this school?
ME: All the schools I applied to all have great academic standards but in addition to this xxxx offered me the best value for money the tuition fee is well within my grandpa budget and when I....... (cut me off)

VO: Why do u want to get to this school?
Me: (shuuu! You just asked me the same question and u cut me off without allowing me to give my point.)
Me: Their tuition fee is within my grandpa budget and when I compare the schools by their faculty, their professors, the qualification they are holding, the kind of research they are working on..... (cut me off again)

VO: (getting frustrated and looking directly into my eyes) you are about spending lots of money on this school why did u want to go to this school?

Me: (then I had to move away from my rehashed transcript) This school offers a blend of criminal justice in addition to their criminology degree with is something I was actively looking out for... I will need this course to secure a full staff position as a lecturer assistant to professor xxxxx the professor of criminology in xxxxx University. Am currently a graduate assistant lecture in training in Criminology.... (seems abit satisfied and cut me off again)

VO: how old are you?
Me: xx

VO: Did you write gre?
Me: I wrote IELTS... Gre was waived for me

VO: Who is sponsoring ur trip?
Me: My grandpa

VO: Can I have his statement?
Me: I gave her (I feel relived at this point her countenence has changed and I was feeling very optimistic at this point)

VO: What does he do?
Me: He's a nationwide distributor of coca-cola product. He has 5 outlets nationwide. 2 in lagos, 1 benin, 1 pH, 1 enugu. And also owns a small transport business that transport people from lagos to benin, and benin to lagos. It's Very productive and he's making alot.

VO: (Looked at the bank statement and was impressed. Brought out a white paper) All ur information checks out and I will be approving ur visa. But first I have to confirm this bank statement. If found fraudulent u will be ban for 10yrs, should I go ahead.

Me: Pls go ahead (in my mind abeg make she fast b4 she change her mind)

Took my white paper and walked away boning as if I was rejected and people started saying sorry bro na so dy dy do.

3 working days after, Visa Status Changed to Issued. This platform has been of tremendous help to me am grateful.

Some observation I made.

1. She doesn't really care abt the schools u applied to nor the course as long as u can defend.

2. I didn't notice her type not even once. Compared to all the transcripts I read about vo's typing fast and all the time.

3. No point craming ur transcript just build a possible sinerio answer around some basic questions and know them. U can mix them up at anytime.

4. Dress dosent matter.

5. Don't beat round the bush put ur best foot forward, give them ur best point first and be confident while saying it.

6. Always add education usa

7. No need trying to get a favorable v.o just asked God to give u the one who will give u ur visa and u will be fine

All this I learnt from my mistake at my interview. THANK God I got my visa regardless

@creamylicious follow ur dreams dear, everyone's part is different

Congrats bro... But number 6 got me laughing. That's a wrong advice though. If you don't have business with educationusa, no need lying about it
