Please are you Yoruba?

jerseyboy:
Igbo won't

Only the Yoruba can divide Nigeria because they have lost the most and stand to gain the most from independence, Their land is rich and strategic. Their culture is rich and dynamic. Most importantly the Yoruba elite unlike the Igbo are confident and fully on board with the agitation. Igbo elite have become too comfortable with Nigeria. They fear the loss of Lagos and Abuja and are jealous and afraid of the success Oduduwa will be instantly. Igbo youths on the other hand are rightly confident of Biafra but cannot carry their leadership along.

Certainly you can't get sovereignty through bullying, hate speech and hate filled campaigns.

You don't need to get people killed there is always a diplomatic way of doing it.
You don't boast that you will sacrifice your people just to get sovereignty.

Oduduwa Nation will come and no blood will be shed!
All that is needed is unity of purpose.

In 6 years, they have "outperformed" PDP

cuteboy2:
And what has APC given you apart from poverty capital of the world, huge suffocating loans, multiple fuel price increases, electricity tariff hikes, VAT increases, POS transaction levy of N50, bank transfer fee hikes, waterways appropriation, land seizures under false pretense of cattle colony and RUGA, levies of every description, galloping inflation, highest unemployment rate in history of Nigeria, kidnappings, herdsmen killings, nepotism, unbridled corruption and stuffing of babanriga with bundles of dollar notes which was defended by Buhari, etc, etc?

And they have managed to achieve all these in just 6 short years.

You and all those who defend this monumental failure in governance are truly shameless.

PoliticsRe: Lagos Must Be Free! The 2023 Slogan for Lagos by Uchek(m): 6:01pm On Sep 20, 2020
Your analogy of Nigeria's successes in Disapora and Lagos State is dead wrong. It is the zenith of false comparison.

Philipponzaghi:
No that’s rubbish. The best when they are in their states never built it but came to Lagos to harness part of the prosperity.

Let me give you a great example.
Most Nigerians abroad always make it because the land is productive and they can harness the economic prosperity of the area they are like USA, UK, and etc.

We wouldn’t say Nigeria made those countries because we are living there, yes we are part of those that make it up but we won’t say we made the country but INSTEAD the COUNTRY MADE US!

Now coming back to the analogy of Lagos, she made those guys that left their states for a good life and not the other way round!
PoliticsRe: Lagos Must Be Free! The 2023 Slogan for Lagos by Uchek(m): 5:44pm On Sep 20, 2020
Your post is drunkenly misleading. Are you Seun the founder of Nairaland.com?

seunmsg:
Nothing in my post is misleading. All I have said is the truth. Mention one state that is better governed than Lagos in Nigeria?

Rivers, Delta, Akwa Ibom etc are as rich as Lagos. PDP has been governing those states since 1999 with little or nothing to show for it in terms of modern development and transformation.

Rivers, Delta, Anambra and Abia also have the potential to generate as much internal revenue as Lagos but no, the PDP rulers are only interested in stealing oil allocations and not improving the states.

As for Ebonyin, the comparison based on revenue alone is illogical. What is the population of Ebonyin? If the population that the Lagos state government has to deal with is the population size of Ebonyin, the state would look like Dubai today. With over 25million people to provide for, the state is still better governed than Ebonyin with less than 2million people.

Are Yorubas not crying? Are you and your kinsmen insulated from the tragedy that Nigeria has become? The best analogy to enscapulate your thought is the case of a house slave calling the field slave a slave.

The former does not understand that he isn't better off 'cause a slave is a slave - regardless of the position.

Have you noticed that ethnic nationality( Hausa-Fulani) who wanted war ended up fighting the war least while the ethnic nationality( Yoruba) that rejected war fromm the outset ended fighting the war most - and in fact they were the difference maker.

How do you explain this reversal of roles?

Why did Yoruba of Nigeria fight the Nigeria -Biafra War?

Your response will be appreciated.

Brugo:
The war was just what it was- a war. I repeat. It was not a pogrom or genocide.

Only a suicidal maniac would ginger his people into a war they could never win. And only a people driven by hate would listen to such a leader. The results were not surprising anyway. Nnamdi knows how to sway such people and he is fuelling your hate again. Funny thing is no one gives a hoot about you guys. You are just cohabitants in this country.

As long as Africa is concerned, Nigeria is still better than any other country in this continent. We just have bad leadership and bad media. It took America more than 200years to perfect their democracy, although we will someday perfect ours, but its going to be a while longer. Have you ever wondered why in ALL action Hollywood movies you see especially when it concerns US military and middle eastern countries or war torn countries like Somalia, American soldiers ALWAYS wins? They are trying to paint a picture that their military is the best in the world. Have you also wondered why the English media over hype any White English footballer in the premier league? They are also painting a picture that they are better than others. So tge earlier Nigerian media begin to sell out positive images of Nigeria, the more the world will begin to appreciate this great country.

Nigerian security apparatus is basically for the protection of the Fulani jihadist power in Nigeria , it is not a Nigerian army in the sense of allegiance to Nigeria the country , though all the rulers of Nigeria since 1966 have been there for reasons other than nation building.
The future of the Igbo ppl can only be assured in a country of their own, time and events have shown this to be true , buhari and APC have lend credence to this .
Any Igbo man who stil believe in today’s Nigeria is just a weary fellow, beaten by the years of low intensity war against the igbos for almost half a century , because he doesn’t even know his life and emancipation from near slavery is what Biafra is

YOU ARE A NOISEMAKER!

Ilekeh:

Of course Igbos will mess up this thread because it's titled "Yoruba" and because they know the end is near.

They're afraid to leave Yorubaland.

They're afraid of forming their own government, of standing alone, of not having Lagos ports to embark on Malaysia journey. They're afraid, that's why Yoruba's federalism project did not passed through. Each region should be responsible for its own survival/growth.

Igbos won't have ND oil money to steal. The likes of Allison Madueke won't have money to buy Hyde park.

If Yorubas can't have federalism, then let's pull out.

Ojukwu VS Yoruba Military Counterparts: Who is the Evidence-based Coward?

Evidence #1
The counter-coup by the North did not succeed in Eastern Region. It succeeded in the Western Region. Eastern Nigeria did not come under the control of Gowon dictartorship until the collapse of Biafra in January 1970. On the other hand, Western Region fell, like a pack of cards, to the hands of Northern Nigerian Army.

Evidence #2
Ojukwu vehemently rejected the hijack of power by the Hausa/Fulani and refused to recognize Gowon as the legitimate Head of State. He insisted on military order of succession and the emergence of Ogundipe as the rightful successor to Ironsi. When the north refused he said Bleep YOU and declared Eastern Region liberation from the Northern Nigeria enslavement. He led Biafra for 30-months while your kinsmen were eating AMALA AND EWEDU. He left two days before the collapse of Biafra.

Evidence #3
Your Kinsman and Yoruba general Brigadier Ogundipe had no liver to condemn Northern hijack of power. He humiliated and hounded out of the country by Northern soldiers. They imposed Gowon, his junior on Southern Nigeria. Instead of challenging them and raising an opposition from London where he self-exiled, he again chickened out for the second time and instead shamelessly accepted the position of Nigeria High Commissioner to UK and became a spokesman for the very government headed by Gowon that humiliated him and denied him his rightful position. Only a Yorubaman will accept to become a obedient slave to a man that raped his wife and took his property.

Evidence #4
Two other Yoruba officers (Joseph Edet Akinwale Wey and Adeyinka Adebayo) were ahead of Gowon and were next in line of succession to Ogundipe. Similarly, the Northern officers told them "Bleep YOU & Bleep OFF" and imposed Gowon on them. Adebayo and the entire Yoruba Military lined up behind the Northern Military like a lamp to the slaughter in the Nigerian-Biafra War - a war which the Hausa/FulanI fought for the enthronement of Hausa/Fulani hegemony while their Yoruba counterparts were used as disposable tools.

The statement that best encapsulates the question Who is a coward between Yoruba and Ndigbo of Nigeria is Emiliano Zapata Salazar's (the general of the southern Mexican revolutionary army. Also, the main leader of the peasant revolution in the state of Morelos, and the inspiration of the agrarian movement called Zapatista:

I'd rather die on my feet than live on my knees”

We could see where bravery led people from upper Iweka bridge to.. That was why they wasted millions of innocent people, when they could have avoided the civil war by all means..

We have seen where bravery led , Usain Bolt Master, Lamidi Kanu , to by sacrificing his innocent members for his selfish gains when the Python visited.

Ojukwu fled to Ivory Coast
Kanu fled to Ghana

Brave master, we are really learning from your bravery.
