Miyatti Group debunks plans to instigate crisis in South East


Miyetti Allah Cattle Breeders Association of Nigeria, MACBAN, has commended in strong terms the rumour filtering the air on its plans to ignite crisis in the South East.

The South East Zonal Chairman of MACBAN, Alh. Gidado Sidikki regretted the malicious publication in the social media platform, purporting a phantom statement in Abuja.

The statement entitled 'South East will boil any moment from now, because of their stubbornness', was allegedly assigned to the South East Chairman of the group.


Sidikki noted this while addressing journalists during the celebration of Idel fitr, at Amawbia.

Mr Sidikki stated clearly that MACBAN never uttered such provocative statement to that effect, either in Abuja or any other place.

According to him, "I wish to put it on record that the South East zone of Miyetti Allah Cattle Breeders Association and her cattle herder members whom I serve as the chairman enjoy warm relationship with the governors ,government and people of South East Nigeria.

"I wish to state that this warmth has not been completely devoid of flashes of momentary conflicts at few locations. Such instances were however promptly addressed by the authorities and warm communality restored amongst the people.

"Given the increasing orientation and reorientation of our people and the locals who are landlords here, and given the strong commitment of the relationship between our herders and across board, one harbours no doubts that the relationship between our herders and their landlords can only be increasingly better as time progresses." Sidikki added.

He further commended Gov Obiano for and South East Governors for accommodating them and creating the long lasting relationship they had been enjoying.
