Car Talk / Re: The Man Who Has The Largest Car Collection In The World! by Udoks(m): 2:36pm On Jul 12, 2015
Thank God he will one day have 1 coffin and 1 tomb like me and you, then and only then will the people screaming his praises know that all is vanity (that's a milder word for stupidity-vanity).

But then... It's none of my business what he chooses to do with his money, as long as my one car can get me anywhere, I am home and dry.

Health / Re: Is It Possible For A Hiv Positive Man Not To Pass It To His Wife? by Udoks(m): 2:04pm On Jul 10, 2015
It's possible, though rare. In medicine, we never say never. There are usually exceptions. The man's viral load might be low, coupled with other factors that can make her remain negative even after several unprotected coitus. You didn't ask how, you just wanted if it was medically possible, and thus my answer is YES.

HOWEVER, If she is really sure that the test results were correct and she still remained negative even after the second test which I assume must have been done after the window period, then she probably has either been lucky or the husband might even be a victim of wrong results and is only suffering psychological symptoms manifesting as HIV/AIDS' symptoms. Luck might run out on her if she doesn't protect herself mechanically(barrier) or pharmacologically (prophylaxis).

A lot to say to this topic, but I can barely type.

So I would recommend that anyone interested in learning more should google HIV and AIDS, note the differences between them, and check out the modes of transmission and pathophysiology.

Peace!!!!

Travel / Re: 5 Mistakes Nigerians Make When Booking A Flight by Udoks(m): 11:32pm On Jul 08, 2015
Here are the advantages of flying With Edo airlines.
1. Booking too early or too late isn't even an issue. You don't need to book. You just fly whenever the urge to do so comes.

2. With Edo airlines, Business hour is usually in the dead of the night when all other businesses have closed and every human being (except those who do night hustles e.g armed robbers, prostitutes and politicians) would have slept. So you need not worry about business hours.

3. Clearing cookies, hmm, not with Edo airlines. You eat your cookies during each flight and any left-overs are strictly your business. There are enough cookies to go round, so it's every 'flyer' to their own cookies. No one has the luxury of time to monitor your cookies.

P.S Edo airlines is fast, though not 100% safe (as we have had a few cases of solo-pilots who got trapped on trees and electric poles, falling to the ground as animals). They can also go anywhere at anytime. grin

Edo airlines... Wouldn't you rather fly! grin grin

xcolanto:

“If you wanted to see the President’s wife, you will pay $30,000 or $50,000 and if you are seeing the President, you will pay all that you have saved in your lifetime."

What a silly thing to say! Am sure she must have seen then president GEJ and his wife a couple of times before her pompous self got into power, so how much did she pay?
If her claims were to be true, she wouldn't be able to afford a 10 million naira watch! Dullness indeed runs in the family!
[/s]

I guess you need an interpreter cos its obvious this 'dull' woman just served you with English that's beyond your scope.
She said they were claims. And also that GEJ and PEJ were probably unaware cos the acts were being perpetrated by 'paraders' as special assistants.

Health / Re: Please Help Ring Worm Eating My Leg For Two Years Now by Udoks(m): 10:32am On Jun 11, 2015
OK, so this has been on for 2years or so, I have to ask.
1. Have you ever visited a hospital?
2. what kind of hospital?
3. what did they say?
4. who even diagnosed ringworm infection?
5. has any malignancy ever been ruled out?

answers to those questions and a few others that might follow will help us know where you have been, where you are and where we can go from here.

online prescription isn't usually encouraged over visiting a doctor. so I would advice this patient to go see a doctor instead of seeking for online help(except of course you need help with the possible hospitals you can visit). This is just one picture, ambiguous in a way. Not much clinical inferences can be made from this picture. So, please go to a hospital. The General Outpatient Department of a teaching hospital or a general hospital is usually the first port of call. From there, you shall be referred to the appropriate unit for specialist management. please waste no time.

btw... Get well soon.

Health / Re: 16 Female Patients Accuse Nigerian Doctor Of Sexual Assault by Udoks(m): 8:05pm On Feb 17, 2015
Any well trained medical doctor should know better than not to use a chaperone that's the same gender as the patient they wanna examine. SMH for him. whether accusations are true or not, these could easily have been preventable.

A patient should not even ask for a chaperone. It is the doctor's ethical duty to insist on one. He knows he needs one to be legally safe. A patient could however wish to be examined alone, but even at that, there's a due process.

Health / Re: All Health Workers Can Now Be Consultants-fg by Udoks(m): 11:51am On Nov 14, 2014
I doubt if many posters here even know what it takes to be a consultant. it's not automatic for doctors. we go through residency training for years to become consultants. If these people want to be called consultants, then there should first be fields to specialize in, cos a consultant is a specialist in a particular field of medicine; then a residency program for them would also have to be started. And believe me, this is Nigeria, before these people even come up with the actualization of their residency fantasies, most of them would have gotten to the age of retirement and those coming behind them are even more clueless.
Now the only time I will know that GEJ and his men are high on products of bowel movement and intoxicated with effluents of micturition is when these Johesu ppl wouldn't have to go through residency programs to become consultants.

Crust of long story: No, that auxiliary nurse on your street can't just become a consultant, neither can the Gateman in our teaching hospital. Except of course they go through residency and become consultant Gatemen and nurses.

Wait sef... Consultancy na beans?

Krak: This picture of Amy Winehouse walking outside her home was taken on July 23, 2011 a week before she died of alcohol intoxication.

"Na person name dey make/mal am"-Yoruba adage.

Imagine what could be written on her tomb stone 'here lies Winehouse who, true to her name, died of wine intoxication'

Business / Re: Good And Legit Online Biz by Udoks(m): 3:03pm On Oct 31, 2012
Fellows, making money online isn't as easy as most folks put it. And speaking from experience, I tell you that there are lots of risks involved in doing online businesses. But believe me when I say it's even risky not to take a risk. Even life itself is full of risks. One thing I tell would-be online business people especially those into investment businesses is this-look before you leap. The method I use b4 putting my money anywhere is to do a lot of research: see the ratings and reviews, what others are saying and d likes. But dont get your findings from just one source. Be wide.

I am into at least two that are very legit and paying me, though one pays faster than the other. But they are both legit with high ratings and endorsements. I did my research before joining. You should too.

OR better still if u believe in my own choice of programs, let me know so I can let you into it(u can drop ur email addresses if u want or just mail me at udoks2k3@yahoo.com, no spammings please). I cant put links here cos I know they might be blocked.
Good luck
