I have a 66weeks exchange program to run in Loretto Hospital, Chicago, as soon as I get my Visa this month hopefully. It's an unpaid program. I am still a student. I am responsible for my accommodation and all... I am coming on a B1/B2. I know one isn't allowed to work with that kind of visa, but I also know that there'll be one clean thing or the other that someone could possibly do to make some extra cash, to keep body and soul together. I live a very comfortable life here in Nigeria, but I am aware that once naira cross go yonder, e no dey make much sense again... So I'd like to ask, is there anything one could possibly do there with one's free periods and days(cos there are days I won't have to report at the hospital)? And how does one go about it?

A friend of mine just messaged me that she entered a 'one-chance' vehicle in Lagos this last weekend. I have always heard about it but I have never witnessed it (I never want to, LOL).
Anyone ever experienced it? Please what are the tell-tale signs of such vehicles (if there are any)? What does one do in such a situation?

I clicked on this thread to see if I'd see Medicine on the list, and I wasn't dissapointed. Then I started to scroll down to check people's comments (I usually don't read comments) about Doctors and the Medical Profession, guess what again, I wasn't dissapointed because true true Medicine in Nigeria has been reduced to an overhyped profession. And unfortunately hype doesn't pay the bills nowadays. Little wonder a lot of doctors are making their ways out of the country, even as consultants.

Some will say Medicine should be passion, not a money-making venture... You are so very right, at least for now, and until you discover that no one accepts passion as a legal tender. Tell them at your children's school that you are working for passion and see how they'd passionately ask you to go homeschool passion into your children.

That way, you can keep both your love and your money... I have the card but I rarely use it except when I want to give it to any other person.
