One question you didn't respond to: is the 120k for him to write for you or what? Because I doubt a supervisor will ask for such just to approve your work. Please clarify.

Hmmm. Which Study Centre is this? I have seen a case whereby a supervisor asked his supervisee to bring 120k for him to approve whatever the student submits. The Student had to report to the Study Centre Director. And till today that supervisor has not gotten any student again for project supervision.
