Mr. Globe:
STFU @beaf. Just admit that your president was wrong with his action. Stop being corny. Go straight to the point and stop killing your conscience because of campaign money that you must have finished eating. Rather than use irrelevant English to confuse yourself and others; admit your master is wrong and desperate for once or stop disgracing yourself by commenting at all
In other news, wahala really dey because if salami is eventually reinstated at any chance, then it might be the way out for jonathan. I wonder how salami will head the court without despise for jonathan lol. IMO I think the chief judge, NJc, salami and everybody involved in this debacle should either resign or be sacked, to save the judiciary I wonder how salami will head the court without despise for jonathan lol. Exactly, a total house cleaning not a political facade.

Gbawe:
If this were not the actual submissions of the FCT Minister himself , the usual sycophants would be here making excuses for GEJ but we can all see that Mr. President is directly responsible for this act of mindless and opportunistic  'looting'. How is this kind of nonsense possible under GEJ yet some want to tell us we are enjoying "fresh air"?
I don't know where peoples expectations are coming from sef.when Yar dua (RIP) became president at-least there were mild expectations because he supposedly had a record, we had reports of what he did in his state and also the talk about him being our first graduate-president though it all ended a  big disappointment. Now we have absolutely nothing to point to as a reference.

I DON'T FANCY SANUSI BUT  RIGHT NOW I DON'T MIND HIM. THAT THERE IS SOMEONE IN THIS DRAGGY ADMINISTRATION WHO IS WILLING TO DO SOMETHING EVEN IF ITS ILL-ADVISED OR WRONG, AT LEAST WE  GOT SOME SENSE OF LIFE IN OUR TREADMILL GOVERNMENT.

HOW INFLATION FELL WITH SUCH AMOUNT SPENT IN A MONTH IS BEYOND ME THOUGH AM NO ECONOMIST,MAY BE THE REPORT  DID NOT COVER THE MONTH IN QUESTION.

PoliticsRe: Ekiti Airport Project Not My Priority, Says Fayemi by Ufeolorun(m): 11:17am On Aug 17, 2011
Gbawe:
The problem with Nairaland these days , making it an increasingly pathetic discussion site in comparison to others, is that too many arguments are propagated out of sentiments and ethnic bias. Arguments no longer emanate from facts based on events on the ground we can all see !!! How on Earth , if you are not motivated by Unclad bigotry, can you label Aregbesola as more clueless than Theodore Orji who is regularly voted "the worst Governor in Nigeria"? What kind of bias are you working with for god sake ?

In real terms, and dealing with tangible achievements, how does Aregbesola , a Governor for 9 months, come across to any sane and objective person as "clueless" in comparison to Obi, Sylva, Imoke, Elechi, Uduaghan, Orji et al ? What is wrong with some of you? uduaghan has just employed a suspected murderer to an influential position. Aregbesola has gained commendation for his appointments yet , in your warped opinion, he is "the most clueless Governor in Nigeria"? Na wa OOO . No wonder Nigeria has gone to the dogs . When so much functional illiteracy abound what hope for the future? Apart from Chime and Amaechi ( and hopefully Okorocha soon) there is no stand out Governor in the SS ans SE . In fact , many of them are basket case looters and , in the case of Orji, Uduaghan and Sylva,  imbecilic reprobates !!! You guys should therefore tone down your silly attempt to malign Aregbesola and other SW Governors of poor leadership. Your insincerity and ulterior motives is too easy to discern given what is on the ground in Nigeria.
ACN governors will continue to draw attention cos they are probably the most media-exposed governors in Nigeria  hence the searchlight which to me is good.
You need  to ignore irresponsible  and malicious criticisms

PoliticsRe: Islamic Bank Donate More Than A Billion Naira To Charity by Ufeolorun(m): 5:02pm On Aug 13, 2011
koruji:
What business & loans did a bank that is yet to take off get 1 billion Naria interest from?

The CBN needs to figure out the source of that money. I think some highly placed individuals are trying to mmove money in the name of Islamic Banking.

This JAIZ bank has not been able to raise money for its capital base, but is already declaring 1 billion Naria in profits from interests that it was not supposed to collect in the first place. Couldn't they just give the interest back to those from whom it was illegally collected?

There is a lot of shady business going on here.
MY thought exactly and also they knew the institution they had the deposit in isn't  compliant (non-interest) why did they go ahead to put money in.The way they have been using subtle bullying tactics to hoodwink poor Muslims into their financial shenanigan is another annoying part.
We are still complaining about  some dubious  pastors,we don't want Sheiks joining .

olawalebab:
The management said it did so because the profit was based on interest which is against the spirit of the bank business value.
When did they realize this?,may be the billions just landed in their bank account.Another corporate shill but this time with careful religious covering, only those whose minds have been incapacitated by religion would fall for this.

this is becoming more of a joke.
PoliticsRe: An Inept Leadership by Ufeolorun(m): 7:54pm On Aug 11, 2011
For the sake of the market a more lenient approach (administration) should have been used, administrators brought in on contract basis, not some CBN appointed 'friends' and their main job should be to restore the or navigate these banks back to profitability, retain the names of the banks cos they have in-built value (maybe impaired) rather than a fresh name  people don't even know about. AM NOT GOING TO PUT ME MONEY INTO A MARKET WHERE MY HOLDINGS COULD BE TAKEN AWAY FROM ME JUST LIKE THAT, THATS ANOTHER RISK APART FROM THE NORMAL MARKET RISK INVESTORS FACE

A DRAGGY PRESIDENT AND AN HIGHLY OPINIONATED,EMOTIONAL AND VERY POLITICAL CBN GOVERNOR PLUS OUT OF TOUCH GOVERNORS = CONTINUATION OF THE NIGERIAN MOVIE AND THE SUSPENSION OF OUR DREAM.

O SU MI YEYE! sad

hopefully cocoa would not take a backseat cos of the rent seeking culture that's about to hit the Gold coast.
Ghana is a manageable country anyway, administratively.
InvestmentRe: What Happens To My Bank Phb Shares? by Ufeolorun(m): 1:17pm On Aug 09, 2011
As an ordinary share holder you have  right to the  residual interest in the company, IF ANY.(its universal ).I  think the govt agency  is just acting as a lender to help  protect public deposit and jobs, act as administrator to steer  the bank back to profitability and probably agree on how government funds used would be paid back(see General motors(GM), then hand it back to the shareholders.
Your shares might still be valuable in the long-run.

THE CHANGE OF NAMES IS SOMEHOW VERY CONFUSING,WHY THROW AWAY A WHOLE BRAND THATS NOT  SIGNIFICANTLY IMPAIRED.

MY TAKE wink
