If i were you I would have hidden the fact that I had/have anything to do with Ibadan because It makes you appear ungrateful. You come across confused , if wherever you come from is better what are you flipping doing in Ibadan, Ibadan offered/offer you what wherever you come from could not hence it deserves your respect and commitment.
Growing up as a minority in a place could make you have deep-seated resentment but you need to grow up, seriously.

Whats wrong with Ibadan! from one clueless politician to the other even the new guy is beginning to look clueless. Ibadan  is too important, Someone needs to wake up this city, one of the greatest in West Africa.

Resident critics grin.
Enumeration, truly vulnerable(in my own words) are the keywords that normally should tell an average person that a functional,fit-for-purpose system is being developed.Ekiti will not go bankrupt if its start providing basic medical access and meals to the  truly vulnerable, capital projects wont stop just cos 52000 aged people are been fed by the state government.

you say ACN is about to implode.thats very funny considering the reason for this thread is the solidarity been shown asiwaju by those who are supposedly "imploding".you sound like one of those peeps who is either a first or second migrant to lagos and still has deep rooted ill-feelings towards southwest politics.however, right from independence till date,it is acknowledged that the best option nigeria failed to choose was obafemi awolowo and now the best option nigeria has to choose from is the ACN.what does that tell you about the southwest?s that tell you about the southwest?
Right out of my mouth bro,you r spot on.condemning corruption is what we should all do but  not one motivated by sectional thinking .Ajimobi has got the right to show solidarity to his political mate or boss.

My brother this is what we face in this country. You can see our leaders are not really our problem but the so called masses and followers. We want to rid our country of bad eggs but we now have a situation where some people want to protect their own. I dont give a cent about PDP,  ACN,  CPC, etc . If someone is corrupt, crucify him. Chikena! But these ACN guys want to come here with this their "four legs good, two legs bad propaganda". It is really pathetic and dishearthening. How can Nigeria change like this.

Is This The South West Ideology?
« on: June 06, 2011, 06:41 PM »
Just to set this straight that this thread is not intended to insult or cast aspersions at any tribe. But my intention is to discuss something I find very interesting. I have observed with interest, the south west political manoeuvrings and I need some answers please?

First the south west claim that they are more politically advanced than the other parts of the country but how can a politically advanced section of the country seek to diminish its own powers. Why does the ACN legislators choose to support other regions of the country against their own fellow tribesmen just because they are not from the same party. No other region will do such a thing. They may have differences but will never conspire with other regions to short change themselves. Is it intelligent for a region to seek to destroy its own brothers just because they are not from the same party? They did it in 1999 to OBJ at a time when he literally had a "clean slate". They have done it again in the just concluded house of reps election.I can understand the Ibos voting for Tambuwal. Their votewas born out of the anger than the position was not zoned to them. They said that clearly from day one. The northerners I can understand, they simply rallied round their own because he is their own, simple! They have shown again, they will continue to support their own. Even CPC reps voted Tambuwal who is almost their sworn enemy. But the west rejected their own again and it makes me wonder. Furthermore, their rejection of their own was not based on Integrity or incompetence, because those criteria,if used would have ensured Tambuwal didnt get any vote. He is a strong ally of Bankole and is neck deep into the Bankole saga.

So my question? Why would the south west reps vote against their own and support a corrupt and incompetent person just because he is from a different party? Is that intelligent? Is that a good ideology? What message does that send to the citizens of this country? Does it not portray them as running a tribal party which they believe everyone from their tribe must join? Does it not portray that they will not condone opposition in their zone. which is something they have always complained of? I do not care who the speaker is really but I just want answers as I am a little confused on this

Since you wrote the above,i dont think any body should take you serious when it comes to southwestern politics cos what is actually eating you up is glaring from the thread you created during the elections (above).
Then you wrote today again:
But the press resides in the south west and they use it to their advantage. Fair enough. The west has always run on propaganda. Fact.

I really don't know why people are arguing with you, seriously your issue is not about Tinubu being corrupt or Fasola under-performing,its far beyond that and any sane person should be able to read between the lines from your posts above.

Please stop grandstanding ,let the trial go on and hopefully others would be docked as well including our treadmill president  cool

PoliticsRe: Apga Set To Sweep Lagos Councils Election As Okorocha Storms Lagos by Ufeolorun(m): 5:15pm On Sep 17, 2011
macjive01:
why is this topic always a sore point for you Yorubas ?

First, Aworis are not entirely Yoruba ( i will leave that for now)

Two, your disparaging analogy of Abuja and  Gwari is exactly the same for lagos if only u replace abuja with lagos , Gwari with awori.

then hausa with yoruba.

also saying "its so surrounded by yoruba that it is yoruba"  same can be said of abuja as being surrounded by hausa that it is hausa, yet the contrary is the case in both.

third, lagos was built on no man's land. an island, that was inhospitable and seemly inhabitable. with the ingenuity of the british , the steadfastness, diligence and proficiency of the Igbos whom occupied all critical decision making structure of the civil service at that time , made this seemingly waste a capital.

look, Igbos are not claiming anything, its national property we all know that, and have faith in its status and continue to demonstrate that faith by pouring money and material into the trenches of ikotun to the marshland of ikoyi, epe, to the ghetto of mushin- redeveloping and  even more outright building of edifice that shone and radiates beyond our national shores.
