PoliticsRe: Igbo Started Tribal Politics In The South; Fani Kayode by Ufeolorun(m): 10:52pm On Oct 27, 2012
I don't care who started it,tribalism isn't an issue to me, as long as it's within the boundary of interest. I cant stand those who whine about it,including a supposedly enlightened ,world re-nown writer.
Business and/or development news please !

Uncle Kayode tinji nkomu as usual grin
PoliticsRe: Gov Amosun Allocates 500 Hectares Of Land To Lagos State by Ufeolorun(m): 8:08pm On Oct 26, 2012
These criticisms are becoming senseless by the day, what could flipping go wrong in giving out a probably unused ground in an orderly fashion!?
If i had my way i would collapse the six south western states into a single state -yes just one governor
These long winded faffs aren't necessary.
500 hectares of land? wait till we collapse Ogun into Lagos. Mariwo leri o,Egun nbo! grin( relax !the masquerade isn't out yet,you are just seeing the trace of it)
CareerRe: Accounting For Overdraft by Ufeolorun(m):
ben4: Thank you all
but i still need further explanation

in situation whereby the overdraft was granted and the accountant did not know about it b/cos the
MD did not disclose it. the accountant only discorverd that the bank statement is reflecting negative balance
how will he bring the overdreaft facility into the books

Note that the double enry principle must be observed, which acount will be credit and which debited
I would dr. suspense acct(where did the cash go) and cr. my bank book/OD cos i just found the transaction with no plausible explanation, that's if you r the pedantic type.
normally it should be dr cash cr O/D or Bank book
PoliticsRe: Gov Amosun Allocates 500 Hectares Of Land To Lagos State by Ufeolorun(m): 8:11pm On Oct 25, 2012
"I am against this move, dont ask me why" ,would have been a less dumb lipsrsealed comment from the opponents of this move grin grin
Against ceding a probably fallow land for better use undecided cheesy
PoliticsRe: Why Has The Tide Turned Against The ACN? by Ufeolorun(m): 12:23am On Oct 25, 2012
Apart from working on Tinubu's image problem, the acn needs to assure none Yorubas, especially in the SW of safetygrin because paranoia is the only plausible reason for this unexpected obsessive preoccupation
Some people are seriously afraid of a Yoruba hegemony, even in Yorubaland shocked ;this is exactly what acn is promoting. grin cheesy
PoliticsRe: The State Of Owerri Roads: Rochas, A Redeemer Or A Yahooze by Ufeolorun(m): 11:57pm On Oct 24, 2012

PoliticsRe: Jagaban Returns To Lagos Empty-handed by Ufeolorun(m): 11:45pm On Oct 23, 2012
PROUD-IGBO:
He has earned my respect for not giving in to that big bully angry, and for not playing ethnic politics as well.

If he performs even better in his 2nd term; this is one gentleman that many Nigerians (well, from the southern part at any rate undecided) would be comfortable with vying for the highest office possible; he's 'modern' and 'passionate' in his thinking and approach to tackling issues, and detribalised as well.

Good going.
I wonder why a 'proud igbo' should be bothered about the bold; Some of you need to stop hiding behind a needle grin
PoliticsRe: Osun Boosts Cattle Production With 10,000 Capacity Ranch by Ufeolorun(m): 6:48pm On Oct 22, 2012
Gbawe: Guy stop with the nonsense !!! "Big players tend to be Yorubas indeed". What a closet bigot !!! David Mark, Ibori, Odili, Atiku, Danjuma, Ibb, Abdulsalami, Hakiru Bello, Muthar, Abba Ruma, Aondoakaa, Andy Ubah, Chis Ubah, Ciroma, Anenih, Igbinedion, Sylva, OUK, Allison-Madueke, Anyim, Oduah, Theodore Orji are all Yoruba? Not so? Is it because you lot are unhealthily obsessed with talking about SW Politics/politicians nons-stop on this forum you have now turned Yorubas into the "big players"? Is that not how you gloated we were the subsidy thieves before names were revealed?

Has it ever occurred to supposedly 'concerned' folks like you how disrespectful to the average decent Yoruba you are with your blanket stereotyping and false character assasination? You go around shedding Crocodile tears for us and taking Panadol for our non-existing headache. You revel in telling the world Tinubu controls the Yorubas. What an insult and crass slur. Guy stop the nonsense and stop mentioning Tinubu everywhere. The Yorubas are a pragmatic people who fully understand what they make of Tinubu and the relationship they want with him.

Your talk is fake because at no time, despite it being pointed to you many times, have you ever shown you understand what Nigeria is and the concept of managing with the lesser devil till the beautiful ones are born. No one is telling you Tinubu is a Saint but don't go around shouting the man's name as if he messed up your life personally while ignoring those who have never done anything good for anyone in their lives. Your President is making the SS an enclave where militants rule after Odili first turned the region into a zone of murder, militancy, kidnapping and mayhem. Some Northern politicians have now turned the North into a killing zone. You don't talk about these evil actions that have grave implications for Nigeria. Yet you shout against Tinubu everyday when the world sees a man who, despite his faults, is actually bringing sanity to his region while everywhere is burning in Nigeria.

You shout 'thief' against Tinubu always. Who is not a 'thief' in Nigerian politics? Let me guess. Folks from your ethnic group abi? My guy, everything is relative in Nigerian politics and to that end Tinubu has his uses. You can shout yourself hoarse if you want. I only see hypocrisy and the usual ethnic jingoism disguised as care and concern considering Tinubu is the first name off your tongue when you want to launch your hateful tirade and not someone like Anenih responsible for the State of federal roads causing the daily deaths and misery of many Nigerians. Guy give it a rest !!! Tinubu has no administrative office in SW politic let alone at Federal level. If you feel he is our "master", then leave us to our fate because we are adults.
This discussion is about a far reaching policy, don't be goaded into the same funny, long winded arguments which we've heard times without number on this platform. Tinubu still has an image problem,it worked against ACN in Ondo but one thing is becoming clearer;he's the new poster boy - His strongest critics have been none-SW guys(some for valid reasons though)
PoliticsRe: Osun Boosts Cattle Production With 10,000 Capacity Ranch by Ufeolorun(m): 11:55am On Oct 22, 2012
redsun: All you muderfuckers see is just south west, south east, north east and dem muderfcking tags,as if nigeria has been divided.

Cant you see the big pictures?cave minds.
The big pictures starts from my neck of the woods, Nigeria needs a clear path to progress and I believe 'local patriotism' is a readily available platform to achieve it.fluffy Nigerian nationalism will not get us anywhere;it's been proven, the building blocks on which the country stands must take ownership of the country.
By the way,I don't think you r the most or one of the liberal/open minds on this platform so no need to grandstand;check it out, you have been one of the cheer-leaders vouching for a learned professor with a heavily divisive perception. grin
PoliticsRe: Osun Boosts Cattle Production With 10,000 Capacity Ranch by Ufeolorun(m): 10:36am On Oct 22, 2012
Gbawe: With Ondo, folks on all sides (ACN and LP) should 'bury the hatchet', forget the past and join hands to move the SW forward. The progress of the region should be bigger than the egos of individuals.
I pray so.The over riding objective is getting things done anyway.
PoliticsRe: Osun Boosts Cattle Production With 10,000 Capacity Ranch by Ufeolorun(m): 9:48am On Oct 22, 2012
This takes us a tinsy little step closer to integration,Ondo would have been a cake walk if there were solid(ier)grin reasons.A wake up call, yesterday was.
Nice one, the state of Osun.

PoliticsRe: Jonathan Moves To Rescue South West From Political Oblivion by Ufeolorun(m): 10:37pm On Oct 15, 2012
740megawatts: You don't get the joke, Sir. Don't be surprised that many of the Yoruba leaders to meet with Jonathan are from the dwindling PDP "government of the centre" caucus. The contracts aren't coming as usual. As an observation, did you notice that violent political thuggery and opponent assassinations has reduced drastically in the South-West since PDP was ousted?
Bishop Gbonigi and chief Olu falae are fine gentle men I can call leader any day.
PoliticsRe: Why Do People Hate Bola Tinubu? by Ufeolorun(m): 10:29pm On Oct 15, 2012
Probably because he's slightly over rated,he obviously talks the talk but they don't measure up with some of his actions.
He's got mastery of the strategic term: positioning.
I,sometimes wonder why a better, articulate and coherent man isn't in his position.
SW would have been better off with someone like Olu falae.
PoliticsRe: Do You Support Building Another Seaport In The Southwest By Governor MIMIKO? by Ufeolorun(m): 6:53pm On Oct 14, 2012

PoliticsRe: Water May Wipe Out Parts Of S/west, S/south – Expert by Ufeolorun(m): 8:23am On Oct 14, 2012
I hope those governors especially Amosun,do not wait for free-wheeling jonathan or any of his anarchist mates before taking action.
I have made up my mind to never talk about Jonathan again but its seems the shock from his mind boggling incapacity is permeating all aspect of our lives.
The message of incompetence coming from above is sad-- everyone is just flipping messing about.
Oh!OBJ- we once had a commander in chief ,despite....
God save us from a casual presidency.

PoliticsRe: An Intelectual Responce To Chinue Achebe by Ufeolorun(m): 9:49pm On Oct 09, 2012
Awake9ja: @Acm
any human bein wit conscience will be wit tears after reading your post on baifran war.i hope ibos learnt their lessons.

it keep me wondering why yorubas keep moving via destructive route. you dont remind a war victim how you decimated him.

even northerners does not recount the war to ibos only yorubas does it on daily bases.i hope the yorubas knew the seed they are sowing.

yes every war victim will remind himself about his war looses. ie: china. they keep talking about japanese invasion while japanese keep mute. that is the way.

but yorubas wit loud mouth speaks more than us the beltans who fought the war.

yorubas s learn before it is too late
so far the revisionists have carefully constructed their argument/anger in a way which underplays the Northern angle while upping any Western link. I think it makes a lot of sense because the whole issue is bound to rage on,how many northerners are on-line or have time or resource to respond.
Mention Awolowo in your story and you r sure of the tribune, punch, vanguard, thenation picking your story up -if you go after Gowon or muritala, there are not enough people or platform to fight and defend them but Awolowo is a flipping lightening rod.
Remove Awo from it and this frenzy is bound to plunge.it's more driven by hate for the man rather than concern for the innocent souls caught up and the need to look into the allegation.
PoliticsRe: Does Achebe Blame The British In His Book? by Ufeolorun(m): 11:52pm On Oct 08, 2012
The bottom line is after all these prancing around like spongebob squarepants: Awo remains a hate figure in the East as usual, get more streets and monument named after him in the West.He remains the biggest election winning name in the West and I don't see that changing.
PoliticsRe: Is It Too Late For Nigeria? by Ufeolorun(m): 11:29pm On Oct 08, 2012
Vogue50: nice one. Tribalism is a factor but not strong enough to disintegrate us.
We over hype it as if its a new thing. Jonathan is been president for 3years now,has anything changed in beyelsa?
do we ascribe tribalism to this.
Its pure greed ojare .
PoliticsRe: Is It Too Late For Nigeria? by Ufeolorun(m): 9:14pm On Oct 08, 2012
Now Nigeria is in trouble just because people are venting on an ordinary book.
Tribalism isn't Nigerias problem and won't be the solution. Americas ascendancy was at its peak when it was most racist.
I think its utter laziness to keep going on about this tribalism issue as if its that strong enough to keep a country down.

Yes its getting too much if tankers aren't exploding, trucks will lose control and ram into anything. We need to get angry here, If you drive unlicensed ,unworthy machines you should be charged for 'an attempt at mass murder'.
The occupants of the truck are likely to be alive but look at unsuspecting road users
PoliticsRe: Auto Crash Claims Nine In Ogun by Ufeolorun(m): 2:29pm On Oct 07, 2012

I don't want truck pushers to go on strike ojare cheesy

Seriously these deaths are unnecessary.
PoliticsRe: Auto Crash Claims Nine In Ogun by Ufeolorun(m): 2:22pm On Oct 07, 2012
redsun: That was why Dangote wanted to train up "graduates" for that, but some of you thoght he was being insuktive.Driving requires some degree of intelligence and essential common sense.
We need to have a stricter regulatory environment for those driving heavy duty machines in fact it should be criminal to drive any of those huge machines if you don't have a special license,we can't leave it to an individual who's supposedly catering to his own business need.
