Lazy GPs and all.
The U.K. has the smallest number of GPs per patient population in the developed wall.
Only a blind person will deny that the NHS is collapsing.

Good day all.
Apologies if it’s been discussed before but I can’t seem to find it. Can someone point me in the direction of resources for an architect moving to the uk in terms of finding a job.

Please Is it possible for a toddler born in the UK to travel with the parents to naija without a passport and then get a passport issued in naija before returning back to the UK.

Hello. The answer is yes. I did same for my child as it was taking forever to get a passport and we needed to travel urgently. They were only a week old at application time. We got an emergency travel certificate. As long as the child has a BRP coming back to the U.K. is not a problem. We did the passport whilst in Nigeria.

Hello house I was just discussing with a friend, she told me that my country is better than UK. She said I should not border to come to UK, that the country is hard. I told her my wife is in UK, she advice I can be visiting her. Please house I need help o for those of you that live in the UK. What are the advantages and disadvantages. Those of you that left Nigeria to UK, is UK better than Nigeria? What were the experience, Am I better off in Nigeria than UK? I am working presently and earning up to 200k, with medical, leave allowance of 200k and 13th month. (Can I get all these benefits in the UK?) My wife also keep complaining that UK is difficult. I am confused. I was just contemplating telling her to come bk and get a health care job . I need advice please my bros and sisters on how you guys were able to make it in the UK. What are the advantages of me staying in the UK. I studied Germany language, what can I start to do to get a good job. How can u guys convince me that UK is better. Thank you

Sorry sir, I’m not disputing your claims but everyone suddenly thinks your wife is the devil. I remember your previous posts where you said your wife has been out of work due to covid as she was isolating due to her “sugar problem” which I’m sure you meant diabetes. I remember very well in that post that your couldn’t care less about this despite the fact that diabetes is a high risk factor for mortality from corona virus. I also remember that from that post she is an agency worker meaning if she doesn’t work she doesn’t earn. All you cared for at that time was that she had to work to meet the financial requirements to bring you over. Seeing as the U.K. is such a hard place if your spouse is not supportive it doesn’t need a genius to figure out her sudden cold feet. But now we are all Joining you to lambast and flay this poor lady who we don’t know how she is coping in this period of uncertainty.

If you are a doctor, there’s a Facebook group, Nigerian doctors in the UK. It is very helpful. I don’t think there’s a dedicated Nairaland thread for it. But I’m happy to answer any queries you have.
Yes you can.

the most Important person is her.. lol, my doctors who are haematologists that volunteered to fight the virus, they’re not important to themselves shey?

Like I said before, what makes me laugh about this is that she will still step out after turning down covid jobs, touch her car door and catch it. So after all her “self-importance”, she will still catch it grin
The most important person is her. It is called PERSONAL protective equipment and not PATIENT protective equipment for a reason. Even in cardiac arrest the first step of the resuscitation algorithm is to not ensure personal safety before approaching the patient. I currently work on a COVID ward, I do not even have scrubs provided for me. I have to wear my regular clothes, today I had to physically restrain a learning disability patient so we could do his bloods. A bloody huge man. I and then other dear nurses, God bless them, were literally rubbing in his sweat and spit thanks to the NHS bare below the elbow policy. I am asthmatic, today 40 people with no underlying health problems died of complications from corona virus in the UK. Tomorrow I will stand up and go again, so I do not begrudge anyone who fears for their lives and therefore approaches a patient cautiously thereby offending your sensibilities that they did not wait on you hand and foot.

I’m not selfish enough to think the hospital is a hotel and the staff my hand men and hand maidens because I pay national insurance and taxes which gives me a sense of entitlement.

It’s even good. If you don’t, you’ll catch it and sit at home. Or maybe you’ll fall sick and be admitted, then no horse will attend to you because they don’t have PPE. They won’t change your drip even when your blood flows out, they won’t even give you water to drink- cos no PPE.

I said you took an oath to die? Pls show me where I wrote it because it’s as if we need to fix your reading skills.

Another person who took an oath to die according to you while earning barely £15/hr if not less. Hopefully you will be going to play his role as husband, father and grand father. I wonder if health care assistants also took an “oath”. The very one you are so obsessed about.
PS: these are the ones who would give me water in the hospital and thank God I am not selfish enough to expect them to wait on me like hotel staff whilst putting their lives at risk without adequate protection

Its very surprising how small some doctors and even worse nurses salaries are.... especially for the work they do.
Nursing is even the worst. A lot of them earn less than £2000 pounds a month. They have to supplement with extra shifts. That’s why I get very upset when people project health care workers as being greedy or after money.

Yes you signed up for the money that’s why you don’t understand the concept and being a hero. How shameless! The real docs that know what they got employed for are probably spitting at the kind of health workers that are now in the field.

When you see my comments, just ignore- I don’t interact with fair-weather medics that only love their job when the going is good.

I have done you the favour of showing you the recommended WHO protective wear and what is obtainable in the NHS. My trust is even Hoarding scrubs. And no this IS NOT what I signed up for. I’ve spent all of today on my feet without even sitting for 30 mins, doing blood tests, seeing patients and holding people’s hands to tell them their swab results have come back positive and we can’t really treat them. Today a 13 year old boy worn no know underlying health problems died from corona virus. It’s a luck of draw how mild or bad each person’s case may be. For someone who has suffered this illness it is shocking that you think doctors and nurses should just suck it up and expose themselves to a virus that could potentially kill them and ignore the negligence from an employer because they took an “oath”. What sacrifice? Would you be taking care of my young kids if I succumbed to the virus because I took an “oath” and knew what I signed up for?

My dear leave people. Imagine the multi million pound lawsuit if a builder fell off scaffolding because his employer did not not give him the safety wear he needed to climb heights. At one point I was earning less than £2000 a month as a doctor so it boils my blood when people claim we are greedy. Imagine me sacrificing my life for a job that pays me less £2000 a months so that I will win altruist of the year.

Hospitals are different, maybe yours you guys don’t have enough, or maybe by now it’s finished, but I assure you, there was enough protective equipment at the hospital that I was in. They even gave me some to take home. The nurses just refused to help out.

It was the black ones that we’re running around to help us. They were fearless. I so respected them. That’s why I’m disappointed to see what I’m seeing here because I’ve been boasting about the foreign/black nurses that put their passion first, over the Brit nurses that abandoned us.
Okay ma. We have heard. We are too greedy for money and refuse to work. From tomorrow I’ll start working for free sef. I won’t even use my pseudo PPE since we took an “oath” to die.

Yup. So the fight is with the govt, for not providing you with what you need, as that’s their responsibility. But saying you won’t treat patients because you’ve not be protected by a failed govt, is failing your patients who you promised to protect and swore you were passionate about, when you became a medic.

Anyway, I’m not talking about you per say. When I was in the hospital, I saw how well equipped the workers were- their eyes were even protected. Still nurses turned down the jobs and left a poor diabetic amputee to pee and shit on herself because the nurse didn’t want to work with a covid patient. Who’s worse between that nurse and Boris?

Lol. I knew there was a prejudice to your assertion. Today alone I have had 10 patients test positive. Even the scrubs I went to hustle to wear I was told off that I’m wasting scrubs. I’m supposed to see and treat CoVid patients in my regular clothes and wear them home. With only gloves and a plastic bin apron and a surgical mask that is not protective. It’s like sending a soldier with a bright orange jumpsuit to a war instead of camouflage wear because they knew the signed up to die. In that case just save them the betrayal and shoot them yourself. Maybe you should read the Hippocratic oath before you use it in an argument

Actually you can work as a doctor on a tier 4 visa. Just not as a doctor-in-training AKA residency. Most of my colleagues doing MSc are doing locum jobs but under the 20hrs limit.

Your best bet is the express entry pathway. Don’t think your British citizenship gives you any particular advantage.

One of the major reasons for divorce is finances. Gone are the days when the man slaves like a monkey, pays all the bills, while the wife spends her money on all other issues, apart from the family front........

Couples should write out all expenses and allocate financial roles, to avoid stories that touches the kidney......

If Husband/wife is l/are earning £5000 pcm, while the other person is earning £1500 pcm... They should work out what is what and who is who........

The problem with couple migrating from Nigeria on the finances front is that the man expects the woman to work and contribute whilst expecting her to run ALL the Domestic activities as well. This builds a resentment which they lash out by refusing to help financially. Back home they had househelps and family support. I’ve seen it happen over and over again. This also seems to be playing out in This index case. Anyways there’s always three sides to a story

For a dependent visa you don’t need six months pay slips. You only need maintenance funds in your bank account for the required number of days.

congrats on your baby. I hope your hubby av a settlement status in the UK or he is a citizen to invite your mum? if yes, he can fully sponsor your mummy. I will advise your mummy to provide her statement of account for six months even if your hubby will sponsor her. your mum has to write a cover letter stating that she has a petty shop and how much she makes each month and wish to visit her daughter and new grandchild in the UK to be able to assist her daughter who gave birth, she will be staying for some duration of time like 3months or four months(Please state the actual duration u wish her to stay,d'nt put two weeks and your mum comes and stay for 5months, this will affect future application) and also state that her tie in Nigeria to convince the ECO that she will be coming bk after her stay. her tie can be her hubby, children and the petty store

since your hubby is a self-employed person, he will need to provide his tax clearance, the paid and unpaid, provided that he is paying his tax in installment. The self-employed route he will need to provide all necessary documents for his business. The registration of his company from the company's house, all the invoices payments and statement of accounts of his business and personal account. then the tenancy agreetment, water bill, and electricity bills and any other relevant documents. He should also provide his financial account for the year from a good accountant, it also helps, at least the ECO can see from his financial statement that he is able to sponsor

The first part of the information is wrong. You don’t have to be a settled person to invite someone. As long as you are legally resident that’s all you need.

I know @the bolded is a lie, a big one, but I will leave you to your conscience.... And you say you are speaking against misrepresentation oh! Then you are using fraudulent means to buttress your point, good for you sir/Ma.

Our moderator very likely know this is a fat lie that constitutes misrepresentation of a high order, because it is capable of defrauding the minds of readers to support your argument. But he is allowing you go scotfree without caution, good too....
Actually it’s a real occurrence. The fact that not everyone’s account is routinely checked does not mean they don’t check. Maybe you should pick up a visa application guideline and read the fine print . The ECO reserves the right to ring your bank and ask for your account details, the bank then gets in touch with you and seeks your permission to provide same to the ECO. And if you refuse that’s an automatic refusal anyway. The person may be lucky and they don’t check but it’s false representation all the same because the funds you claim is for the trip is truly not available to you for that purpose.
If this becomes a trend and they find out that each time they have cause to check a Nigerian’s account the money supposedly available for the trip has been withdrawn they’ll only make the applications harder and Na we go still come here come cry foul.
But What do I know? Each to what they believe is right.

But why is the common weapon of attack always trying to put the other person down as a new migrant or JJC. It’s very distasteful please. Especially on a thread dedicated to help such people. You are not better than someone simply because you migrated before they did.
