Phones / Top 10 Cheap Smartphones You Can Buy In 2017 by Ugoeze2016: 6:48am On Nov 29, 2017
Every day, two million smartphones are sold all over the world. In Nigeria, more than four million units are sold in a month; that’s about 7% of the smartphone market. These statistics are amazing. However, what is amazing to the consumer is getting a phone that is coherent with the value. Most people think an expensive phone equals a quality device. At Zokija, we are here to tell you that it is not always the case. There are cheap phones that give about the same performance and utility just as the expensive ones.

In this post, we will give you the top 10 cheap phones you can buy in 2017. Put in mind, only one of the listed phones is above N30,000. If you want to buy a phone like this quality Samsung device that comes at a good price, then scroll down to see our top 10 list

It comes with a dual primary camera capable of capturing 8MP photos. It also has a front-facing 5MP camera that is suitable for amazing selfies even under low light. This Gionee P8W made the top of our list because of its many features that should only come with expensive phones, especially the 4G connectivity. The 5.5 inch device comes with Android 7.0 Nougat and Tecno’s HiOS 2.0 which is specially built for the Android Nougat. The only reason why this device comes behind the Gionee P8W is because of its price despite offering about the same specs as the Gionee device. The only edge it has over Gionee P8W is the stunning 13MP rear camera. You can purchase this Tecno device at a lesser price. Before you make a purchase, check the features of the Tecno Spark K7 below.

The Cubot R9 is a surprise inclusion on this list as we tried avoiding favouritism toward industry renowned manufacturers. Despite coming at just 21,050, the Cubot R9 is the only device with a 2GB RAM capability. It also comes pre-loaded with Android 7.0 Nougat operating system and a very responsive fingerprint scanner that helps you unlock your phone and capture images by just placing your finger on the scanner. More surprisingly, the smartphone comes with an IPS screen integrating 13MP and 5MP rear and front cameras that capture stunning images, especially when the flashlights are enabled. The 2600mAh battery is the only disadvantage it has compared to the top three devices. Yet, it should take you a full day under normal usage.

What we love about the Infinix Smart is that the 5 inch HD screen really lives up to expectations as gaming and videos look crisp on the device. The phone has a stylish look thanks to the manufacturer’s new innovation bend towards design. Smart comes with 1GB RAM and 16GB ROM which are quite awesome features considering the price of the phone. Motorola are known for churning out top range devices such as those offered by Samsung and HTC. With the Moto C, Motorola aim to have a share of the affordable phone market. Motorola Moto C comes with a 5MP rear camera and a 2MP selfie camera that both integrate the striking image quality of Motorola devices. We wished Motorola could give a better ROM storage than the 8GB offer in the Moto C. However, you can insert a memory card of up to 32GB and keep enjoying your apps and files. 9. InnJoo Halo 2 LTE – 19,980

You might be surprised why an InnJoo product comes beneath the iMose GiDi. InnJoo Halo 2 LTE is a unique product on its own. However, its only advantage over the iMose is its 4G mobile connection. Buying the Halo 2 is still a great decision as it sports a superfast 4G network that helps you watch YouTube videos without glitch. The phone also comes in different colours, but we love the gold colour. You also have the option to expand the 8GB memory by using an external storage of up to 32GB.You can consider this phone if you desire a bigger storage and a better performance.

EVERY CELEBRITY THAT DECIDES TO GO OUTSIDE NIGERIA FOR THEIR WEDDING AND HONEYMOON IS DOING NIGERIA A GREAT DIS-SERVICE.

BY TAKING SUCH A BIG EVENT TO ANOTHER COUNTRY, THEY ARE DEPRIVING NIGERIANS AND THE NIGERIAN ECONOMY AN OPPORTUNITY TO EARN A LIVING FROM SUCH A BIG OCCASION AS THIS.

JUST IMAGINE THE COOKS, BAKERS, PHOTOGRAPHERS, HOTELS, TAXI DRIVERS, WEDDING PLANNERS, COW, GOAT, CHICKEN, AND FISH SELLERS, AS WELL AS RAW FOOD SELLERS THAT WOULD HAVE BEEN DENIED AN OPPORTUNITY TO MAKE A LIVING THROUGH THESE CELEBRITIES.

IN FUTURE, LET OUR CELEBRITIES HELP OUR ECONOMY AND HARD WORKING NIGERIANS TO SURVIVE BY PATRONIZING OUR NIGERIAN FACILITIES, RATHER THAN GOING ABROAD.

JUST IMAGINE THE AMOUNT THE SOUTH AFRICAN HOTELS, CATERERS AND MANY MORE COULD HAVE MADE THAT NIGERIANS WERE DENIED.........!

Phones / Infinix Zero 5 Full Review: Specs, Price, Dual Cameras by Ugoeze2016: 12:17pm On Nov 27, 2017
Infinix have just debuted their flagship smartphone for the year. The Infinix Zero 5 is a unique device that comes with features that have never been witnessed on any Infinix device. With curved edges, fingerprint scanner, and dual rear cameras, Infinix Zero 5 is ready to take the market by storm.

Coming with a 4G connectivity and a roomy storage of 64GB/128GB, the Zero 5 is expected to be a big market player when one takes into consideration the 2TB memory expansion. We expected the phone to come with Android 8.0 Oreo. However, Android 7.0 Nougat is an in-demand OS, and the design makes the user interface quite intriguing. Check out the features and specifications of the Infinix Zero 5.

Design

The Infinix Zero 5 has a metal finish crafted into an astonishing sleek body. The device is manufactured in three colours – gold, matte black and apple red. It comes standard with a fingerprint scanner right below the dual rear cameras. The fingerprint scanner enables you unlock your smart device by just placing a finger on the surface. It also adds more security layers as it is more accurate than even the powerful scanner on the Hot 4. The phone is designed to give a good grip while being used and when it is passively held.

Display and Resolution

Infinix Zero 5 is a 5.98 inch device, technically making it a phablet (phones that can be used in tablet form, usually over 5.5 inch). It has a screen ration of 18:9 and a screen resolution of 1080 X 1920. Infinix Zero 5 has similar display specifications to the Tecno Phantom 8 with the 2.5D glass coating and the full HD display. However, it trumps the Phantom device in terms of pixel quality with an amazing 403 pixel per square inch. With these display features, images, videos, and games that look very crisp on the Zero smartphone.

Processor and Performance

The Infinix Zero 5 promises blazing speed like never before on any Infinix device. It has a powerful Mediatek Helio P25 Octa-core processor that is able to clock 2.6GHz. Being a flagship device, we expected that the Zero 5 will come with the latest Android OS, Oreo. However, Android 7.0 Nougat is welcome as Infinix integrated it very nicely into their sleek XOS user interface. According to Infinix, the OS is upgradable to Android 8.0. With this device, you get the choice of a 64GB or 128GB storage, both coming with a 6GB RAM that is more than enough to run all the apps and games stored on the 64GB/128GB memory. Also, you have the option to expand the base storage by 2TB when you insert a memory card into the Zero 5. Possibilities are endless with this smartphone.

Camera

Like we said earlier, there are similarities between the Infinix Zero 5 and the Tecno Phantom 8 One of such similarities is th dual rear camera. Infinix didn't disappoint at all in this department. The dual cameras at the back can boast of capturing quality images with their 12MP and 13MP combination. According to Infinix, the device features an optical zoom that can zoom an image up to 10 times closer. The 16MP front-facing camera can easily deliver quality selfies, especially with improved camera features like the beautifier, auto-focus, and face-detection capabilities that are designed to make your pictures look professional.

Connectivity and Battery

As expected, the phone has a flash-charge feature and also supports USB OTG and USB Type-C. The device also comes with a 4G connectivity which is fantastic for watching movies and live streaming. The 4350mAh battery is also a massive upgrade on last year’s flagship device – Zero 4 – which had a mere 3200mAh battery capacity. With a 4350mAh battery capacity, this is probably the biggest battery capacity among Infinix smartphones.

Pricing and Availability

There isn’t a fixed date for the availability of the device as of now. However, it is expected that Nigeria will be one of the first countries to witness the flagship smartphone once it is made available. The starting price of the Infinix Zero 5 is set at N120,000, and expected to rise with demand.

Key Features

Display: 5.98 inch

Screen Resolution: 1080 x 1920

Processor: MediaTek Helio P25 Octa-core

OS: Android 7.0 Nougat

Camera: Rear: 13MP and 12MP; Front: 16MP

RAM: 6GB

ROM: 64GB/128GB

Battery: 4350mAh

Internet support: 4G LTE and Wi-Fi

Fingerprint Scanner: Yes

Memory Expansion: 2TB

Conclusion

Infinix Zero 5 is ready to take on any smartphone in the market. The features are amazing, and the capabilities are good value for money. Consumers are expected to flood the Zero 5 once it is available in the Nigerian market. Do not miss out on this superb device.

Phones / Health And Fitness: How To Stay Fit With Modern Technology by Ugoeze2016: 12:38pm On Nov 22, 2017
Fitness is gradually becoming a vital part of our lifestyle. Both fitness enthusiasts and those who are not so much into it want to live a healthy life while leaving nothing to chance. In the modern era, technology has come to stay and live with everyone. We all breed modern technology. For anything you do, there is an app, a website, or a gadget that helps you carry out such activity with ease and at blazing speed.

The gradual interest of people in getting fit and the wide range of the application of modern technology has made a room for a good mix of both. Fitness and technology can come together to give you amazing results at a time fraction. It is important to know that you can stay fit with technology. However, the question still looms, “How can you stay fit with modern technology?” Stated below are some of the ways you can stay fit with the application of modern technology.

1. Track Your Nutrition Level

Many people compromise on the quality of food they take because they want to lose weight and stay fit. This isn’t a good way to stay fit. In addition, there are diet fads that are only channeled at cutting your nutrient intake resulting in the deficiency of essential food nutrients. What you should aim to do is cut back on calories but retain a good level of nutrients. This is extra work for most people. That is why the app store is filled with many nutrient apps that monitor your nutrient level. Some of the best apps are MyPlate Calorie Tracker, Nutrition Data, and Human Nutrition. These apps will make it easier for you to track your nutrition level.

2. Monitor Your Heart Rate

Those who are involved in intense physical activities are usually advised to monitor their heart rate. For this reason, a heart rate monitor is important. There are cardio machines that you can use for this; there are also modern portable monitors such as the Bluetooth Low Energy heart rate monitors you can wear during both outdoor and indoor exercise. Mobile apps like Accurate Heart Rate Monitor, Instant Heart Rate Monitor, and iCare Health Monitor can also be used to monitor your heart rate.

3. Wear Fitness Trackers

Fitness trackers have saturated the market and are getting their own share of the consumer Naira. Wearing fitness trackers has made it convenient for people to track and get accustomed to workouts while keeping accurate tab at results. Interestingly, this trend has taken off especially with the younger populations. The Samsung Gear Fit 2, for example is one of the market leaders when it comes to fitness wearables. The Apple Watch is also a powerful fitness tracker. There are several others like the Huawei Band 2 Pro and the Fitbit Charge 2. Mobile apps like Samsung Health and WorkIt also help track your fitness and they can be integrated with fitness wearables.

4. Create New Workout Habits and Goals

Your most pressing issue might be creating workout goals and following through. There’s good news here. Modern technology is well optimised for you. The mobile app is a big part of modern technology. Mobile applications have made it possible for everyone to create and monitor their goals. Apps like MyGoals and MindFi can help you create a new workout habit and follow through your goals. Also, meditation is vital to staying fit. MindFi helps you meditate and stimulate your brain.

5. Learn New Exercise

The focus of many fitness enthusiasts is to learn more exercise moves than the ones they have mastered. Workouts can also be boring if there are no new daily workouts and everything becomes tedious and unchallenged. BodyWeight Workout & Fitness, BodBot Personal Trainer, and Home Workouts are mobile apps that can teach you how to make new exercise moves and stretch yourself in different directions to achieve amazingly different results.

Conclusion

You can stay fit by adopting workout routines. You can be more productive by adopting modern technology. What can you achieve by combining both? The two give outstanding results. Modern technology is home to lots of information, apps and gadgets you can use to stay fit. There is no limit to what you can do with modern technology.
