kennygee: You people who always stress on infidelity, isn't there room for forgiveness?
I use to say "if my husband cheats on me, I'll leave". But wisdom has taught me better.
The mess in her home might just be the devil's way of pushing her out of her home for a strange woman to enter.
It is not a battle she can fight with force and quarrels. wow I am surprised |

Daboomb: Polygamy is not a crime, why are you trying to shame him or cant he voice his opinion without you pigeon-holing him? Everyone has a right to their opinion, you are free to have yours. I'm not shaming him (btw I'm making reference to the husband here) what I'm trying to say is that IF you are a polygamist, you make it known upfront from the beginning of the relationship /marriage I mean, Ned Nwoko for example has presented himself as a known polygamist and all who married him EXPECTED this behaviour That is my point |

You too look at what the sidechick is doing and and what she is wearing to hook your husband and do times 10.Yes, his cheating may not entirely be ur fault but once Nigerian women get married that is when they go in search of their grand mothers bubus and start wearing them or start behaving like they belong to the convent . How many married women in Nigeria do u see watching their weight or hitting the gym to maintain their shape? If you like listen to the pple saying divorce him. CHoccolaTE: I have even heard of worse cases than OPs. There was one married man that told his wife to call his side chic and apologise to her after the wife warned the side chic to leave her husband.
My former neighbour beat his wife till her nose broke and was bleeding all over her dress because the stupid man wanted to invite the girlfriend to the house and his wife locked the door and hid the key.
These are just few, I know many other horrifying cases of married men acting like beasts to their wives because in Africa nobody cautions them. Funny thing is that the baby you bore is for his family and bears his name and will carry on his lineage. But he is body shaming you for losing your beauty after having the child.
Madam OP, if you are open to using diabolical means against him please do so. Or get people to severely beat him up and wound him seriously. Or just ignore him and bear. If na me I will put little quantities of me and my babies piss and shit in his every meal I prepare for him along with using diabolical means against him. I love revenge, I don't joke with it. Funny thing is that the baby you bore is for his family and bears his name and will carry on his lineage. But he is body shaming you for losing your beauty after having the child. this quoteabove is not exactly the case.... in the real sense of it certain cultures just seem to see it that way |

Frankiss44: That same fictional film according to you have saved so many marriages...
What doesn't work for you in prayers works perfectly for others, it is a measure of our faith.. And that pastors cheat on their prayer warrior wives is not an excuse.. The question you should be asking is if the prayer warriors are even aware their husband are cheating and are praying towards that direction...
Cheating is one thing that can happen in seconds, it could even be a one night stand.. The quest for fun or something different from what u have been getting in a while.. It happens to all types of men, both the religious and the loyal.. That's why I laugh at people blaming the lady for not seeing the warning signs before marriage... Some men even married as a virgin and ended up being serial cheats after marriage.. It happens....
But this goat of a husband case has gone more than cheating, only a fool will insult his wife because of a bitch out there...
But there is nothing prayer cant do why does it always have to be the Woman to occupy war room and all that Fvckery like I often say, It's women who often put these pressure on themselves |

Mbakuthegreat: Maybe so but call it what it is then, cheating, and not polygami. And polygami is not practised in all african cultures and instead of making a posts to batch african men and saying we are cold hearted who will cheat on our women without thinking about their feelings she should batch her own husband whom she choose. But OP may be fake and is just here to batch african men. it is based on his dumb response to the allegation that she made her opinion on African men.... which btw, is not very accurate |

Mbakuthegreat: Again polygamy and cheating is not the same thing, if he actually believed in polygamy himself and thought that it was the way to live then why was he keeping it a secret that he was sleeping with another women? That was an random excuse spewed out for his bad behaviour and its such a bad excuse that i cant imagine any man using it which is why i have my suspisions that OP may be here to batch african men and their way of life... What is she implying then saying that african men need to know that women have feelings, are we emotioneless unlike european men? That is basically what she is saying. She shouldn’t try to use her bad husband that she choose as the representation of african men. Did i say that polygamy is not practised in africa? And polygamy is not the problem here, cheating is. And OP has not responded to any of the comments, if she doesn’t after a day it probably nothing more than a fake person here to spew shit and not genuine. she is in pain right now and saying things like this is expected of someone in pain A lot of men dey fall hand tho |

tensazangetsu20: I graduated two years ago actually. Nigeria has a lot more investable opportunities than Ghana. Nigeria also has a higher purchasing power than Ghana. The Nigerian economy has a purchasing power parity of one trillion dollars (26th largest worldwide). However starting a business in Ghana especially in retail is not as easy as it used to be. The government asks that you bring a million dollars upfront for initial investment funny enough investing the same amount in the USA or Singapore would give you citizenship. Some people might go out of the way and do things their own way but it always comes back to bite.
Tax rate is also much higher in Ghana and there's a lot of bereaucracy if you intend to do things the right way. This bureaucracy also involves a whole lot of money. Import duties are also very high which means that no matter what you do your goods will be expensive that's why things are so expensive in Ghana down to even a bottle of coke. but somehow I prefer the investment climate there to in Nigeria I just left Accra not too long ago, and I come there frequently Thinking of putting something more permanent there tho I don't know why, but apart from portfolio investment Nigeria is the LAST place I would do any direct investment the wahala is too much |

tensazangetsu20: Yeah. I had my four year degree in Ghana and have worked in some African countries. I started my business as a part time gig to just give me some spare cash. I got a job and quit the job to come run the business. I know the progress we have made but it's so small compared to what others are doing. There are guys in Nigeria who aren't even up to 25 doing businesses turning over up to 50 million naira a month. High end tech businesses here are raising millions of dollars from outside investors looking to break into the Nigerian market. Presently in terms of raising outside western capital Nigeria ranks first. Many countries in Africa have no even been awoken to that stage yet. It's hard here alright but in terms of business Nigeria offers more opportunities than other countries especially with its large market. oh.. so you have a Ghana connection too.... That is good so how do you see the investment climate in Ghana in comparison with Nigeria (I'm assuming you graduated less than 5 to 6 years ago) |

magicminister: Wooooow!!
This is why I always advise ladies to preferably marry a rich person or at-least someone from a well exposed middle class (lower or upper). The only reason this lady died is because the man didn’t want to spend adequately to get her proper medical attention or it could just be that he can’t afford it. Regardless, the lady is dead and that child will never know the love of a mother.
My friend, married a poor man. Too bad I didn’t know her before she married the poor man. She’s a beautiful woman that could’ve had any partner she wanted but she didn’t know her worth. Unfortunately, the man started beating her for the slightest provocation, her first daughter (4 years old) got sexually assaulted by unknown neighbor(s).
When she got pregnant with the second child, she got free antenatal but when it was time to give birth, the husband shipped her to the village and hired a cheap dirty local doctor. The second child died at birth and she almost lost her life.
Ladies, let them call you gold digger or whatever but never ever ever ever ever marry a poor person... marry a man that can atleast put food on the table for you and your children (2 atleast) and pay medical bills during child birth. He doesn’t have to own a mansion or fancy cars but he must be able to provide the basics for the household.
things can always change for the better or worse but wise up! I like your point but then... one with the poverty of the mind /poverty mentality/poverty of the pocket s one that ladies should stay away from a rich guy with poverty mind /mentality is just as dangerous as a broke guy (poverty of thr pocket) with poverty mind /mentality just that one ha worse |

We have had a lot of challenges but so far there has been nothing we couldn't handle. That is VERY good... so you are talking from a practical angle... I can see that. tensazangetsu20: Export . New Zealand is cut off from almost the rest of the world. The cost of export would increase the prices of items. The population is small so you do not have a lot of cargo ships offloading and unloading like china. My own point is that in terms of doing business Nigeria surpasses all the countries in Africa except South Africa and Egypt. In terms of employment it's basically the same shit everywhere on the continent. Even South Africa with its advanced economy has very high unemployment levels.
FYI luxury businesses never scale. It could reach a peak point of a couple of millions a year but that's just it. Compare how much Toyota makes in revenue and profit a year to how much Bugatti or even common luxury brands like mercedes and BMW make. Selling or starting a luxury only item business means that you are catering to the top 10 percent where ever you are in the world. In terms of doing business NiggerArea surpasses all but SA and Egypt indeed i have nothing more to say to you Or... let Me ask Are you a business owner? Do you do business between countries? |

tensazangetsu20: Population matters when it comes to business. Most European countries have a much higher standard of living than America but America is much better for business because of its population. India also has a large amount of poor people like Nigeria but is a hot destination for investors and businessmen alike looking to make bank off its one billion plus population. I can't build a billion dollar FMCG in Qatar even though it citizens have a lot of money but you can in Nigeria. Examples abound olam, indomie noodles et al. Nigeria with its behemoth of problems is still the best market in Africa for business of any kind.
Presently New Zealand is ranked number one for ease of doing business and America is ranked eight but where would any sensible business man rather start a business America or new Zealand . starting a business in New Zealand to export elsewhere COULD do you much more good than setting up in the USA depending on tariff, distribution and selling costs and all that I said COULD And yes, New Zealand COULD be better |

tensazangetsu20: How can you run a business in a country with a population of one million people and very high illiteracy rates. What is the return on investment? As horrible as Nigeria is many companies are still dying to break into this market. which country might that be with 1 million people? It's about the buying power really btw and now the population id rather sell in a small Switzerland for certain products than NIGERIA which is bigger, but poverty ridden... Sometimes SA does not have our population but have a bigger buying power on average No gulf country is up to 60m yet given a choice btw arab and Nigerian customers /market, you know the one most people will pick... my point is that population is NOT all that so msny other factors come to play like ease of doing business And the spending power of the populace (which we both know has gone worse for Nigerians ON AVERAGE over The last 5 years, with the devaluation and other economic woes) The FDI pouring into some countries in Africa relative to their population and all puts Nigeria to shame We are the ones out there, we know what we are seeing.... |

abnot: Yea that’s why I advise people to throw out their questions there irrespective of the knowledge I have gained from Nairaland in the past. Quora will provide more realist answers on issues related to immigration and education as you have two categories of contributors on Nairaland regarding immigration 1. First category have never left the shores of Nigeria or have only travelled a few times on short visits. They see nothing other than the neat streets / shopping malls/restaurants. They have little or no experience Living and working in these societies and will always be pro- move to the west irrespective of individual circumstances. 2. Second category are our contributors who reside in the west and try so hard to make readers feel they are having the best careers in the west and how nigeria is a shithole and all. Both category of contributors tend to be bias and easily insult anyone who analyses issues from a different perspective. Regarding education, most contributors seem to value education based on the ability to migrate to a country through the study option and for them the country that offers the best education is whatever country that offers a joint permanent residence after studying package. While the Indians , chinese and others use education as a tool/ asset to get ahead in life , the average Nairaland contributor sees education from the perspective of pay the fees , study , secure residence and migrate . In the late 80s the likes of segun agbaje, banigo , Jim ovia, Ben Bruce, onubogu and many others used knowledge gained from the west as a tool to get ahead and also influence many positively. Today for many it has become an achievement to be a citizen of a colonial power. interesting answer I kinda agree with you tho |
