Life shouldn't be boring and hard na. Then maybe we just have just one kid after we've had almost all the fun in the world! All in all,I love the spontaneous life spontaneous life is good But being a family man and living spontaneous life The spontaneity will have to reduce /give way that's how I see it... |

Safiaa: Lol I don’t understand ohhh When it comes to splitting financial bills their mouths will open like parrots. They are so quick to ask what you contribute financially to a marriage. But when it comes to domestic contributions and other aspects, they are mute. You want to be addressed as the head of the home, yet your wife is doing practically everything in the house. She’s the one running the home. The only job that you’re really assigned to do is provide, yet you still want to split that role into half with your wife? You wonder why women don’t respect men of this generation. They are absolutely pathetic. well... Nigerians have a unique gift or will I say problem of exploiting people /playing smart And they bring this nasty attitude into their relationship /marriage And BOTH sexes are guilty of such Fvckery in Nigeria The men wanting to get as much as they can from the relationship, while contributing as least as he can... AFTER all, he did her a favor by marrying her mumu man..... or the "oriaku" women who would have a long list of demands from their unfortunate husband while bringing ZERO value to the relationship The man hustled, got you a retinue of maids to help in the house; etc while you are an empty vessel.... Afterall in her mind, she is THE PRIZE and the man is fortunate to have clinched me mugu lady When we see relationships as give and take, and being selfless, then these fvckery will reduce in Nigeria But till then, the cat and mouse game continues no be NIGERIA? |

A Dj Cuppy would also not be flocking around broke boys/men and would have her own standards for her kind of men. It’s perfectly understandable.
The problem is a broke, hungry, jobless, poorly paid Nigerian girl setting “standards”. It’s absurd! It’s madness! That’s where the question comes from “what do you have to offer”? you dey vex o |

Mizwisdom: I partly agree, but disagree with the "manipulation" part. I think it's due to wickedness on our part as females and maybe a bit of this shortsighted nature of ours. If guys start being asked to wash plates, clothes and stuff, the mother(female) will be the first to protest, she will want her daughter in law to enslave herself while still contributing financially to the home plus sending money to her. It's still mothers(females) who train girls domestically while allowing boys freedom from domestic chores in the same house. It's not really manipulation, we are our own worse enemy. you are right on this one tho But I often say that for any relationship to work (marriage is a form of relationship) all parties have to be reasonable and considerate Why would a woman or a man be overburdened? .Are you not suppose to SHARE such burden? Lazy men and women plenty And I pray you don't get nailed to one |

chrisagyei: read about what I posted, the link, the screenshot,do your research and stop talking blindly.Nowhere in Ghana experience 12 hours of blackout even during heavy rainfall.I live in East Legon myself.Tell me where exactly that happened.Check the Human development index 2018,Infrastructural development index 2018 and tell me where Cote D'Ivoire beat Ghana anywhere. We have more and better roads than them, better economy, bigger GDP,bigger per capita income their country has just 30% electricity coverage whilst Ghana has close to 90% buh we still experience better 24/7 electricity than them. Our schools are far ahead of them, etc.Their country was destroyed by over 10 years of civil war and can't even hold a peaceful election. How can you compare.Ask them about Ghana and they will tell you.Ghanaians don't go to Cote D'Ivoire for economic freedom. Our economy is the best in West Africa if you care to research or know. The companies and investment here is unprecedented. Those Ghanaians you see there and in Nigeria are the old generation Ghanaians who fled to these countries during the famine in the 80s and now consider themselves half Ivorians and Nigerians.Majority of Ghanaians returned during the JJ democratic regime. are you calling me a liar? last week, we did not have light at east legon (Boundary road side, after ARS junction) for GOOD 8-12 hrs (Does Ogbojo hope I spelt it right ring a bell?) I have nothing to gain from lying that was MY EXPERIENCE I can't put pics here because In a private fellow tho the light was restored and that was a one off experience I think we should just end this conversation tho... You are a typical Ghanaian more and better roads than them , I disagree the Ghanaians who live in Nigeria as economic refugees cut across age spectrum the same way the ones who live in Ghana from Nigeria Nigeria economic refugees cut across And CIV had a peaceful election in 2015 ouatarra is on course to complete his term and go home Gbagbo was a mistake that will never repeat itself again.... And judging by a country that had a civil war not too long ago, they have done VERY WELL Liberia and Sierra Leone have refused to pick themselves up and to me, are the worst failed shithole jungle countries In west Africa so you have to give them props for that Does the Ghanaian economy have a bright future? Yes indeed I absolutely agree (but hey, you Bank of Ghana gov has to work harder) companies are pouring into Ghana I agree with that too.. . I was impressed by what I saw at the T.V. Africa /Fanmilk side, and other pockets of industries here and there impressive But still, when it comes to infrastructure and quality of life, CiV beats GH hands down Things are far cheaper in CI than GH an Ivorian can be fine with 40000 CFA - 50000tho he will have to manage) But a Ghanaian Ghanaian survive much on such amount because things things are expensive Both countries have their plus and minus But I give it to CIV anytime |

chrisagyei: hmm,you sound funny,do you know we have the largest fdi in West Africa overthrowing Nigeria.Do you know our GDP and economy is the second largest in West Africa since last 10 years. This is 2017 figures. No Ghanaian is a refugee anywhere because we have the most peaceful country in West Africa and 5th most peaceful in Africa and 45th most peaceful in the Global Peace Index. We never experience civil war since independence. There are millions of Ivorians in Ghana with some being refugees.Read the link to this page and see the difference between Cote D'Ivoire and Ghana. We have the least poverty population percentage in West Africa, you can check that.We generate far larger electricity than cote D'Ivoire and enjoy better electricity than them.Dumsor died in 2015 and it lasted for a year. That was a technical problem and since resolved. Follow and read https://www.indexmundi.com/factbook/compare/ghana.cote-d-ivoire refugee do not have to be political Economic refugees are what many Ghanaians, Nigerians and indeed most Africans are ...... denying that is living in delusion And Dumsor did not die in 2015.. NIGERIANS SHOULD NOT THINK LIFE IS BETTER OUTSIDE OUTSIDE ALWAYS!!!
Experienced similar things over ten years ago, but I used my intellect and even taught in school there (John kufuor to Mills time) and with help from my wonderful brother overseas, I was able to return home!
Life is HARD in Ghana, especially for Nigerians, but I made use of their facilities well, library, school common rooms, reading parks, agbogbloshie, etc.
Went to that winners church sometimes too North Kaneshie side. It was in Accra that I saw the most number of mad people on the streets-there are always in multitudes. Saw one Camerounian woman once there in 2008,saw an oyinbo or which fellow mad near the central biz district, near the/overseeing the Atlantic ocean area= I guess he had ran outter money!!! But I had a rented apartment with my brother's kind assistance...
THANK GOD FOR THE PEOPLE CHRIST JESUS USED TO HELP YOU, especially those that gave you directions to the Embassy and the GENTLEMAN GOD USED TO BRING SANITY AND SALVATION TO YOU AT THE EMBASSY!!!
My brother always says:: If you want to travel overseas/abroad, USE PLANE! things in Ghana are very hard indeed.... We see it when we come But enjoyment plenty for that country tho... it's my fav chillzone Osu area especially |

Do you know the number of Ghanaian refugees in Treichville/Abobo? You know how many Ghana girls are roaming the streets of Carrefou koweit and other corners of Youpougon as hookers? Côte d'ivore has a bigger economy than Ghana (they are the second biggest after Nigeria) and they have better infrastructures than Ghana (no dumsor ) they attract more fdi too don't forget that... Ghana can compare with Senegal sha But not Ivory Coast Even in Nigeria here, the Nigerians here can attest that there are so msny refugees from Ghana in Nigeria too so that is not a metric Ivorians I know who go to Ghana is mostly to learn English and all (knew a couple studying English courses in Accra) So guy, quit that arrogance Ghana ain't $hit as you are portraying it Travek around and you will see that's all I'll tell you malians and togolese people live in Ghana in their numbers too, and I can say Ghana is ahead of these two because I have been there But Ghana vs Ivory Coast? forget it! Raalsalghul: Very insightful post I must say. I don't know but delaying child bearing is one aspect Nigerians hardly look at.
Funny enough it's not only the ladies's decision to pop out sometimes pressure from the man too. Such scenario is still affecting my sister's friend till now. And in her case, she was just 22.
And I wish NiggerAreans as you call it could bring down having kids to just 2. 3 and above should be for the elite. Our population is bloated already. As for me, the mere thought of bringing a child into this contraption is enough reason to steer clear of Marriage.
Finally, I've observed that most say 80per cent of successful/well to do people in this part of the world are kids of successful people too. So I dont blame the ones that want to have millions before settling down. Poverty can be inherited moving from one generation to the other. Reason why planning is vital. yes Indeed you have spoken well |

Also, the average Nigerian typically has no developmental plans. He only likes to spend money, to be noticed, praised and he does not like to produce anything. abbey621: Most of the things you mentioned does not apply to the Nigerian environment. We value kids and family more in Africa than abroad, average American or European cannot even sponsor their kids to college. The sensible ones are not living on 100k per month or $900. Furthermore even those earning minimum wage abroad cannot fully invest in 401k or savings to truly mean something, kids or no kids. I do agree with you tho, financial security and planning is very important but let's not kid ourselves, those making 100k per month are not going to build houses, buy cars and still have enough to send their kids to private universities. Even if they work 20 years, the outlook is just not encouraging hence why so many people look for deals, so what's the solution? Not have kids? Not own a house? Manage public transport? we value kids more in Africa I laugh an average American /European cannot sponsor their kids to college I will disagree with Europe because university is as good as free in most European countries for Europeans with the exception of day that Use Less UK... so that does not count But for the USA you are correct colkege is tens of thousands of dollars and they will need to take student loans to meet up... even with the abysmally low fees in NiggerArea how many parents in Nigeria actually foot the bills of their kids in NigeriA? even at less than 200 $ many still struggle to meet uo. now think pf what happens if the school fees is like 400k per annum how many parents in poverty Nigeria can pay? and for one to be working just minimum wage jobs in America "-X that means the person is not skilled But that is beside the topic Planning is key and that is my point Africans need to adjust their mindset Western couples I tell them that they don't know what they have by having a relatively structured system and mindset that helps them plan NIGERIA that means the person is not skilled |

Nigeria will be a better place for us, naija is blessed okay.... Let me break it down to you.... Life in Nigeria (let mr call it that) is HELLISH And it has a bleak future with the way kids are popping, and the excruciating unemployment levels CIV on the other hand has unemployment issues (not to the degree of Nigeria tho, as they are lucky to have so much foreign investments that create jobs for them, plus a huge public sector that absorbs them) CIV (and indeed most of the countries I stay intermittently in) enjoy a BETTER standard of living than you will find in Nigeria. And that issa fact (ask anyone else who lived in multiplr countries) to live the standard of life that a lower middle class Ivorian or say Turkish person lives, you will need to run your gen 24/7 (they have the light already) raise a tank above your house to get water ( they get water directly to their house, no need for pumping machine trouble) build high fences (they don't need that, secure and barricade yourself (they also do not need thst) and the list goes on..... Nigeria ranis below CIV and Turkey in every Human Development Index.... NIGERIA the poverty capital of the world should tell you something I have travelled to all regions in Nigeria apart from NE and I have seen poverty like I have never seen elsewhere apart from Liberia and Sierra Leone In that country that is my point tho it's somewhat easier for a Nigerian to make quick money (especially if you have no conscience and you are ready to do whatever, to what end really? when you will still livein fear so except you are very loaded, i see no reason why anyone will want to live in Nigeria If only Nigeria can fix its power problen; security problem and curb it's soaring inflatoo rate, the quality of life will improve so much But till then the country is still failed |
