Romance › Re: How Much Should A Man Earn Monthly Before Considering Marriage? by Ugosample(m): 1:25am On Jun 02, 2019 |
getting married is not the problem per se
it's this foolish habit of many Nigerians of being in a hurry to pop kids into the marriage ASAP
A man who gets married at say 23/24 25 max for example can have an agreement with his spouse to delay kids for say 3-4 years b4 getting pregnant while working TOGETHER and praying TOGETHER towards building a more financially secure life for themselves once they do that they can then pop one, two and say three kids...
It's all about planning
But NiggerAreans will not...
The woman especially will not agree she wants to prove to the world that she is "fertile" ASAP coupled with family pressure
#Such Fvckery
instead of Nigerian Youth to learn how western couples plan their finances together, with plans on 401k and other moves like taxation and all it's the negative they are emulating
100k is NOT a bad salary for a young man with prospects starting out...
with his lovely lady earning slightly below that, they can plan together their lives, live in a self contain for the meantime, save as much as they can while probably one plans how to break out and start his own business / climb up the social ladder while still holding the brakes on popping kids
But how many youths will behave this way,? this IS just my thoughts sha
it's not cast in stone |

Nigeria is not the best country in the world I admit, but compared to living an unsheltered life in Ghana of all places? Don't be ignorant.... I help from a distance tho.... I have helped one brother with mobile money like three times and that was it.. I don't come close like that... Nigerians are not to be trusted But from helping you from a distance, if you earn my trust, i can then open up to you If we were CLOSE friends back in the day, then it's a different case |

Don't be ignorant.... well living as a squatter anywhere is a bad choice tho It's better to be hungry and suffering in NiggerArea than squatting in an uncompleted building in Ghana At least you will. see what we used to call "mama thank you" to chop from time to time to ease hunger from your miserable existence in the world poverty capital... that's better than roaming aimlessly in Kasoa looking for whom to rob... But then, the life is screwed either ways |

gentlebullet: Good afternoon OP, i am very sorry my response is gonna be harsh but that is the honest truth. You have decided to go into business choosing Ghana as your market and you are here on Nairaland looking for someone who didn't help you raise capital and who don't have any idea of how enterprising you are to help you decide on the type or kind of business or commodity to trade in. i doubt if you really hustled to gather the capital you have at hand to venture into the yet to start business or trade. Ghana is a visa-free country for you as a Nigerian to travel to, you can reduce cost of travel by going by road, there are lots of bed space hostels in Accra you can lodge for as low as 10Ghc per night(if you don't have someone to accommodate you). why don't you pick up your passport and health vaccination card(yellow card), buy a bus ticket and head down to Accra on a 4/5days fact finding mission(won't cost you more than 60k if you are prudent).
Since you are strictly interested in the business opportunities in Accra and not vacation, you can locate one of the numerous bed space hostels in tudu, adabraka, new town, High street, etc. during the day you move around the markets from mokola, CMB, katamanto, high street to kwame nkruma circle, kokolemle, abosey okkai, kaneshie to odorkor, sakaman, awoshie, fadama, medina, agbogloshie market ( pls make use of trotro(public bus) for commuting within the city. taxis are expensive), You eat in local restaurants and retire to the hostel at the end of each day's findings. You will meet lots of Nigerian residents doing businesses and you can interact with them and also citizens too. You can do window shopping to know the cost of items you know are also very common in Nigeria or probably manufactured in Nigeria. i can assure you after 4 - 5 days of intensive fact finding on the street of Accra you will have ideas of what trade or business is gonna be okay with you.
Mind you, your visit will help you understand the currency, exchange rate, get to feel the environment, meet people, make acquaintances/friends, experience transportation within Accra, have idea of the cost of living and also help you have a cue on how to negotiate cost of transporting your intended wares/goods from Nigeria to Ghana. Remember everybody's story is gonna be different just as our destinies are different. i left Nigeria to Accra some 10+years ago on fact finding mission on how to start a business, i thank God i did cos i end up using my then capital to put up a commercial building in Cape Coast instead. CHEERS AND GOOD LUCK! P.S: PLEASE I BEG YOU IN THE NAME OF GOD, STAY AWAY FROM KASOA & BUDUBURAM!!! That area is the hub of naija Yahoo boys and Oloshos!!! 10 ghc bed space hotel Guyman don jonze *chai* .I pay nothing less than 60 ghc/night |

nwanneni: Very technical answer. Are you into retail? If so,have you thought of bringing in products they don't do or import? Indians,Lebanese na wahala ooo! I am seeing that in the next 10-15 years, individual retail will collapse! Supermarkets(large marts) are springing up everywhere with better pricing and clean, comfortable shopping experience and people are beginning to know this! So the only issue now is when? They have money so they purchase most of these products in bulk and direct too so competing with their price is almost impossible. The only thing stopping them now is people knowing this which will happen sooner or later. So I think anyone involved in small scale retail should start making out plan B ASAP You have made a good point Starting next year, I'm thinking retail of agric produce in Accra; Abidjan and Dakar the pilot phase will.be in Abidjan tho... Phase two is to try to link up my Accra contacts then Dakar being like an hour and a half away will be last phase probably 2021... Any advice? Lebanese are big in cocoa so I will.just respect myself and sit out of that one |

Some of them I even helped them before they could go abroad... But that's just life. Always be determined to put ur trust in God alone and always rely on what your hardwork can get you. Sorry for what you went thru... Nigeria is not such a bad place if you know what you're doing. Even Ghanaians are trooping here on a daily basis. Nigerians are good at destroying themselves hence the suspicion But I disagree with your last statement tho NiggerArea is actually a VERY BAD PLACE TO LIVE You can make good money and big money in Nigeria (especially IF you have NO conscience) But for living? They've got lots of money and cheap/brotherly expertise and they can spoil price ehn But I know most of their businesses around these parts of Africa is targeted mostly around manufacturing and retail(supermarkets mostly). nwanneni: Lol @ niggerArea.ugosample easy ooo! Well,I think we succeed outside Nigeria because we take our ideas from the over competitive Nigeria and employ them in Virgin lands.see what I mean? For me eh,I sold whisky in CEMAC and made good dough from it but I do not think I would have succeeded if I tried that rubbish in Aba,Onitsha or lagos. So Ugo,you have to give Naija that credit of making you smart enough to compete with locals of that country and beat them at their own game You really hate 9ja sha well Ivorians are laid back tho that gives we as igbo men the space to make some bucks here and there But then we have the Lebanese to contend with But that aside NiggerArea dey fall hand big time it pains me evryday Look at Senegal, Look at Rwanda, look at even Accra.... they are crawling ahead while that nigger country chose to be stagnant. the only countries I have been to that are worse and more Niggerly than NiggerArea are Liberia, Guinea Conakty and Sierra Leone Liberia should be the worst country on this continent Even Burkina dey try in their own way as for what you are suggesting, i like how you are looking at positives But hey, like my uncle will say in igbo "one does not take pride in suffering" |

Not everyone wants to leave Nigeria for greener pastures abroad... I disagree with the "lots of people" up there tho.... Compared to the population of Nigeria The pool of upper middle class, upwards is very thin.... Pay her for her services *Enjoy urself with her and stop disturbing ur wife about sex *Psychologically, u won't ask for sex from her again *She will notice the change in ur attitude and become bothered *Make sure she doesn't sneak on u or catch u *Next she will demand sex from u without u asking *Give it to her and continue with ur side chick package *Once u notice her factory reset don set, stay away from ur side chick (her services are no longer required) *Lastly ask for forgiveness from God and move on with ur wife

If I may ask, how much do u pay your domestic staffs, driver and security guard.... U see poverty stench all over the place yet u are comfortable because u definitely beyond the hook..... I'll rather have 50% of my money go to tax n have a nation that caters to everybody with good infrastructure and social service.... There's nothing u wrote up there, that's convincing for anyone to stay in nigeria.... That's why almost every upper middle class has relocated to Canada.... Even, okey bassey is not left out. Stay there dey deceive yourself..... please leave that guy....
