stormtrooper: London is a beautiful city, not for living but for traveling. I visited it two months ago with my fiancee and we let ourselves be guided by a travel blog. Why wouldn't I like to live there? Because it's always cloudy and it affects my mood. Besides that everything is wonderful. To not forget the prices, for a trip it's ok (or it's what I expected) but for living there it would be expensive. where you you live tho? if you don't mind me asking |

I stand with what I said..n will still tell my bloodline not to regard anyone that can't speak the Igbo language an Igbo or a brother... You dud not answer my question And your viewpoint is very worrisome I speak igbo language and Yoruba and French But as I grew up in Lagos there are a good number of igbo who don't speak igbo they are not less igbo than i am or you are This viewpoint is worrisome because you are not the first to say it You can never hear this kind of comment from a Yoruba person |

Without it, u have lost 99% of ur identity/distinction If there was never d Igbo language, would there have been any Chibuzo or Nnamdi or Chioma etc.. So tell me...without the language and the name, what differentiates u from other people? most Jews can't speak Hebrew does that make them less Jewish? answer that question first once you are of a certain descent that is who you are whether you like it or not |

CeterisXVIII: Nigerian-owned businesses don't succeed after the death of the founder, because such founders do not put in place a valid and structured succession plan in place, while they are still alive.
Another thing is that many of them are polygamists, with multiple wives and many children.
After they die, these wives, children and relatives start fighting for a piece of the property that the founder left behind. Before you know it, the business dies as everyone grabs a piece of its' assets, for themselves.
Others go to court and get a lien placed on the property, or raise a caveat against the man's will. The case lingers in court for many years, while the business eventually dies through lack of proper supervision.
The reasons are too many. The last one that always upsets me, is that these founders send their kids abroad to study and those kids eventually build their own lives abroad, instead of acquiring skills to come back home and run their father's business.
Some kids even end up being strangers to their fatherland. And parents of such children indulge them, in their foreign pursuits.
By the time such parents who founded the companies die, the kids come back and are out of touch with all their father's built or laboured for, because they were not part of its' growth, in the first place. Those kids have no intention of staying back, and have absolutely no interest in the business.
Tell me, how will such businesses then survive? I see yiir point and they are valid ones tho I don't agree 100 % with the children part |

CeterisXVIII: Very true! Yes.... the Nigerian currency was much stronger in the 70s and 80s. One naira was equivalent of 0.80 cents in the 70s. While the Nigerian Naira back then was as strong as the British pound.
People were far more honest, and sales on credit thrived, because of the integrity that many businesses exhibited in the old days.
Don't forget that many political figures also attracted foreign businesses into the country to set up shop, and became their local partners with a seat on the board.
The old Barclays Bank was also present in Nigeria, and had a good structured credit and loans dept, that gave loans to local entrepreneurs, once they had sufficient guarantee of product supply.
These days, local banks ask for an arm and a leg as collateral, and even include your great grandfather's head into the bargain, just because you need a loan.
People were more disciplined, honest and transparent in the past, so credit terms were less stringent.
Unlike now, that people can collect goods on credit, and would not pay back but start telling stories, or dodging the owner of the goods.....some even disappear into thin air! exactly everybody wan make am quick today. |

ogbonti: What is so special about oyinbo puna? Mehnnnnn, mugu full this thread no be small
I have layed countless cute white chics, agreed their skin is softer to touch than that of black chics and they are better relaxed than most black girls, they are very willing to do anything with you and for you in bed than Naija girls.... they kiss good too, but apart from that, nothing spectacular.... if I rate the best 7 puna I have caned since I was born, in terms of sweetness, Black puna is number 1 to 4 .... oyinbo 5 to 7
But my only confession is that, when nacking a white chic, I get beastly for some reasons, maybe trying to show my black power lol. And when a white chic passes the night in my house, showered and laying close to me, I feel some ease than when a black girl does, I don’t know why, just my way..... Badt man |

Drenimarcus: lol this thread tho i don over laugh . Let me give my own one cent. I had a big brother(not blood) i stayed with for 4 months in Lagos, we so connected and so attached that he tells me everything in his life and i same, he got married, went to the US with this wife for honeymoon, man was always lamenting about Nigeria bla bla, he came back home, spent 2 months and left again with his wife and hasnt come back. He obviously overstayed and i dont know how, he adjusted his status and last year his wife did same. I dont know how but he sent me pictures of their gcs(we all know how). Now here is the thing, he was always telling me on phone when we talk, man dont waste your time, there are options, K1, CR1, but he always says please come in LEGALLY!!! i told him, well with naija reputation who go wan date or file for me? he said try, all these talks were in 2016/17. Seeing the admin i was in 2017, reading blowjobs, franknetter, ukimmigrant and one of my closest pals leaving with Canada with his friends, i started researching on how to come LEGALLY. It narrowed down to 2 options, marry/engage or school in the US. 2018, i kick started my plans, fast forward 2019, 01:42pm i am currently in the US, happily married and i came in LEGALLY! I could see the joy in his face and his wife when i called them on whastapp video call. What i am trying to say is, someone who migrated illegally will advise and explain how hard things because he has no valid papers. Till now, he still calls and advises me on the jobs to do, how to get stuffs done but all legally. some folks back home are not only ignorant but lazy, you want to go to a country that issues you I-94 immediately you are in? i am not trying to dissuade anyone, just saying things from my own side.
for those who are saying they dont want them to come because of competition or they dont employ 9ja, back home, we have had stories of employees ruining companies alot, US is so expensive, why employ people you know that will give you heart aches or you cant trust? this is a very nice story congrats |

Nobody does, it’s easier to help someone that has an idea of what they’re walking into, than someone that is looking at the world through rose tinted glasses.
Why do you want to move to another country without thinking of your own accommodations? I’m in Canada, and Nigerians here help each other network and stuff like that, but definitely not a leeeching relationship. you know the calibre of Nigerians who migrate to Canada via express entry is of a different breed... if you jump all those hoops you are less likely to b an efulefu you are a professional |

In brampton Canada majority of the house there is occupied by Indians, they will clearly tell you they want only Indian.... Even jobs too, if India is the boss, majority of workers will be Indians. Same with the Chinese
Nigerians have no trust in each other We envy/jealous ourselves alot The rich dont want you to be like them, even come close those ones are wiser than black folks na don't you know? People living abroad should not be discouraging anyone to come abroad too...but they should also remind those coming from Naija that if incase they need their help when they indeed get abroad, they should not be surprised if they are not able to offer to help them settle abroad.
How's that? this is more like it |
