I have been to Cotonou before, and trust me when I say that this city is dope. I stayed at Haie Vive, and that road stretch had all I needed, from restaurants, bars, clubs, etc. Its proximity to the airport is also a plus.
Every Nigerian should visit this city. |

Why are some Nigerians like this? So to say it as it is, is a form of discouragement? I will continue to say it, plan properly and look before you leap before coming here o
And as a first timer, I recommend Young Shall Grow, because it goes directly to Abidjan, but if you can fly, Air Côte d'Ivoire and Arik is there.
If you have made up your mind to move, All the best.
Plan, plan, plan.

Zico5: If I may ask, which tribe are u from? There is nothing bad to show the face of evil men and women destroying the image and reputation of our country. They are hardworking isn't it. Ask average isrealites if their source of money is not evil. You hear E-money and -money, take ur time to think how easy it is to make 2 million not to talk of 35 years old talking and living in billions. They will never listen cos it is in their DNA but the best is to expose them to the world at large. I never and will never respect any of them or their money cos it is fraud. Go to Alaba and see many of them or computer village. You will see them waiting for people to rob of their hard earned money. There are bad people in every tribe. The high rate of ritual killings and rapes here in the SW does not make all Yoruba people Killers and rapists. When will you guys understand this? |

Folafikemi: However the quest for a better life doesn't terminate in just an inferno of confusion or in the fear of the unknown as it been presented here. Other African countries didn't just become a safe haven for Nigerians to run to if not cos of our political leaders who has ruin every chance.
The fact that we just wanna stay legit and responsible should be encouraged in all aspect. If u never try u can never testify.
This is my little piece to all out there who believes in the human struggle for emancipation, goal getter against all odds. If Côte d'Ivoire is the place pls go all out without fear or foe and rule the land. If nija is still the place, fight it to a success never forgetting ur source.. God.. He make all things beautiful in his own time.
Cheers!!! It's like you still don't get the point right? Okay o.. |

adimsmt: Does it really matter if you are Igbo just stop let me tell you, you may see it as rubbish but for this little boy to think and has the ability to make it a reality that in its own is worth celebrating . Here in America where i live people like him are encouraged from the teachers, the school authorities even tech companies some of them have programs that go around school just to fish out little kids like this boy. Let me tell you my 12 years old daughter is in 7th grade right now, she is so interested in knowing how brain functions, she want to be a brain surgeon [Neurologist] she is so brilliant that all she get are A's in all her subjects. Right now the school authority, the teachers are already teaching her about scholarships and the best schools even i have received in the mail about three pamphlets about scholarships for my daughter. Please no matter how you see this young man's innovation don't rubbish it, put this young man in conducive environment he will do wonders believe me. You nailed it properly. With mindsets like these, it is still a surprise that this continent is backwards? |

wanaj0: When Nigerians DESTROYED their own countries and now moved to other countries to continue the destructive tendencies dont think others will stand bye and watch. If we've dealt with the BAD eggs in our midst we will not become the object of ridicule to the whole world.
As at 2008, Nigerians do not need a visa to visit Singapore BUT now the story has changed. We should be asking what made the Singaporeans to turn against Nigerians? Singapore now have SPECIAL visa requirements for Nigerians. Before Malaysians will give Nigerians one month visa but now maximum you will get is 14days with no extension. Other African countries get one month even with possibility for extension!
I know a Malaysian woman who was approached in Church by a Nigerian student. The excuse was that he was expecting his school fees and he needed an account that they can pay it in to. The 'racist' woman gave the boy the account number, money was paid into the account and was handed over to the boy. That was the last time the boy was in the church. Not long police came looking for the woman to explain the source of the money and what was done to it. The woman explained her side of the story only for the police to explain to her that her account was used to launder money! What do you think will be the reaction of the woman when next she comes in contact with a genuine Nigerian student making a similar request? If I know 10 Nigerians are 9 of them are criminally minded, then I will assume that 90% of Nigerians are criminals. That's what you use population sample for. Unfortunately, we seem to have a LARGE sample of criminals in Malaysia.
If Malaysians are racist are what will you say of South Africans, Kenyans etc. Even out there in Ghana we are not loved! Are they racist also? Are Nigerians the only BLACK people? Like they say, Bad people have spoilt the reputation of good people. Most Nigerians that Malaysians come in contact with everyday are into criminal activities. Most claim to be students but only very few are GENUINE students. Read through this site and you will see how people are planning to go to Malaysia to 'hustle'. We thrive and celebrate criminality! Just go through this forum and you will be shocked!
NB: Malaysians treat Indonesians in the same way. They've reduced visa for Indonesian women when they found out that they were mainly involved in prostitution. I see them clamping down on the Vietnamese to.
No one is saying that ONLY Nigerians are criminals. However while other nations hide to do their crimes we throw parties to celebrate it.
Of course everyone will claim innocence but the truth is clear for everyone to see! You nailed it 100 % The get rich quick syndrome in Nigeria is terrible. |

Ah still repeat, why don't u do what they call 'testinq the water'. Visit alone, make equires, visit the places u intend Stayinq, find out thinqs for urself, etc.
Don't just dépend on what u read online. Ah had ma own taste the first time (2014) ah traveled outside 9ja, it was purely online help ah qat ± the necessary travelinq documents. Buh on qettinq to there, it was somethinq different, buh honestly the aid from online was also useful. U should know that there's biq difference between visitinq and livinq. TheGoodJoe: Sad we lost but we go out of that game with our heads held high. It is easy to say horrible match and heap blames on the players.
What a lot of people do not get is that outside talents and hardwork, there is also preparation. The Germans have worked for years on playing a particular way. During League breaks, the hold seminars with all the coaches, improving their games. They have Youth projects that have the kids playing a particular way.
Them beating us was not a surprise. The Germans worked hard on pressing the midfield and the defence. That made it very difficult for our players to keep the ball and attack.
First, I give a big shout out to Sadiq Umar. That kid ran his heart out. For a teenager, that to me was a brilliant display.
Mikel Obi. Our mercurial captain. For a player known for not relying on pace, his hard work to press the defence was amazing. His skill and strength in battling the Bender Twins was impressive.
Ekong. He put in a top class performance. There is no way that guy is not the future of the Super Eagles defence.
Emmanuel Daniel. Nice saves. Terrific reflexes. Kept us in the game for most of the match.
I hope this Dream Team wins the Bronze medal. They worked hard, showed determination and Belief. This was a team we can applaud and they deserve a medal for their hard work. At last, someone with a reasonable comment has spoken |

aresssa: I don't have to visit anywhere to find out what's going on in there.
1. Governments operates based on budgets and projects are executed based on budgets and looking at their budgets, there's nothing in there indicating anything meaningful going on on the ground.
2. State budgets in the SE are all salary budgets with zero room for any serious project so where is the money going to come from?
Anambra state budget for 2016 is N110 billion which is nothing and they are not even going to reach that figure because of low FGa allocations and oil price.
3. There's no visionary project private or public going on and you can not show me any major or meaningful state government project or infrastructure in the entire SE.
And if they have anything to rival with, they'd be very glad to show it on NL like others do, but they don't.. Budgets of the SW minus Lagos are salary budgets too without much room for capital projects. Go and look at Osun and Ekiti's budget, and the structures in these two states, it is laughable. Travel across the country to see what is on ground in other parts of Nigeria. It will be an eye opener for you, because I have seen overtime, that an average SW who has not travelled sees the SE with jaundiced view. |

aresssa: There is nothing like SW/SE rivalry and for the SE to rival anybody, they got to have something to rival with and so far today and in the history of Nigeria, they have nothing on the ground to rival with.
You only see them when people post developments in other states and they show up to show their usual anger, bitterness and badmouth and I don't call that rivalry, I call that bad bele and hatred... So in essence, you are saying my people have NOTHING on the ground? Maybe you need to travel more to see for yourself, not depending on hearsay. |
