And you think marrying a woman to take care of didn't end in 1960 too? Nobody wants a liability again, what we want now is a partner and not a wife.
A wife is most likely a liability and an adult baby/a dependant that you nees to be feeding and that ends in 1960 too.
A partner is a supporter, a mate and a reasonable person that knows she needs to contribute and support the family.
It is funny seeing ladies screaming they don't want to suffer with a man why they are suffering presently.
Had a lady who is a custom but she divorced her husband because he is not providing enough.
The man is a civil defence and earning 80k why the lady earning 100k.
Now after the divorce, she went back to her parents and complaining how it is not easy to survive on 100k per month but this same woman will want the hubby to perform magic from his own 80k by renting apartment, feeding family, buy a car, buy land and start building, support In-law etc why she is struggling to feed herself now in her father's house.
A poor and broke lady that is not productive running away from a struggling guy is not mocking him rather he is helping the guy to dodge a bullet unknown to him.
Alot of people around me have had there lifes cut short and died of kidney failure due to stress and high thinking due to having unproductive, broke, lazy and frustrating wives and not partners.
You have said it all.

I had to respond to you because I think you don't get my point. In other climes people only hire an employee when they can conveniently pay what is stipulated. My point is that most of your celebrated elite are ripping off the ordinary Nigerian because we are in a society where nobody cares about the quality of life of the average citizen. "Cheap labour is dehumanizing, try get a nanny when you visit the western world and ask yourself why is that expensive"
I get your point

but get mine too

The western world has a conducive enviorment for business
and the laws to support labour....
everything is in place

Nigeria on the other hand has everything scattered from the business environment to the Labour laws

if we are to fix these things
it has to be a holistic approach...

Paying "livable wages" to workers when the same govt will raid you with various taxes to pay, in addition to fuel costs and other crazy costs due to jaga jaga nature of Nigeria will NOT work.

we need a complete overhaul....

CrimeRe: Father Kills His 2 Kids After He Caught Their Mother Having Sex In South Africa by Ugosample(m): 11:18am On Jun 26, 2019
LordAdam16:
I see this a lot.

But here's the FACT: you have no control over how someone else should react to a grievance.

Same heartbreak that most people have, grieve, then get over with time; is the same heartbreak that many commit suicide over. Similarly, same UTME kids take, fail, brush it off, and try again; is the same kind of exam kids take in South Korea, fail, and commit suicide over.

Clearly dude is mentally unbalanced to a degree at least, but people have killed their kids for less.

This sh*t happens more times than you think, a lady taking a call while her partner is in the background wondering what's making the smacking sound in the background. Some just get depressed, this one went cuckoo.

Can I blame him, I don't know. I don't have his brain.

***

A similar instance is an account I read on Reddit. Dude was smashing a single mother of two in the apartment she shares with her baby daddy. The guy returned and knocked. Unfazed she tells the dude to keep at it as the door is locked and the baby daddy (who is an ex-convict and just came out of prison weeks back) didn't have a key.

They went ham, because as anyone who's been in such situation knows (including yours truly), it's exciting. So n*gga was outside begging the mother of his kids to open the door, while she was having the time of her life. He kept calling her, she ignored the calls.

After a while, the dude screwing her spanks her and tells her to pick the call. She f*cking did, because why not. With sex sounds in the background, she told him he was "trifling" and that she wasn't well and he should come back later.

According to the dude, the n*gga kept knocking, begging, and calling for a few minutes more then left. He was scared to sh*t when he came down from cloud nine, waited an extra 10 minutes, checked the coast, then made a dash.

Turns out, the baby daddy went to a store that night, shot the cashier, tried to shoot another employee in the head and the gun jammed. Nigga was put away for a long time. Now was that the healthy way to deal with that traumatic experience he had? No. But as I said, I don't have his brain. And the lady, well her actions inadvertently put someone in the hospital and could have easily been two homicides. And made her own kids fatherless for a longer time just when he had just come home.

Now, I'm not saying the n*gga is a model citizen, a stand out gentleman who didn't deserve that. For all I know, it might be his karma. He's an ex-convict, what did he do to get a felony conviction? What about the awful sh*t he did and got away with. What if he's cheated on her in the past and this is her payback? Could explain why he was begging?

Regardless, you don't poke a sleeping bear no matter how much in the right you think you are. Cos when it lashes out, you really can't control how much damage it'd do.

***

You want to cheat, cheat. But then to go past that to take a video call from him while you're getting f*cked. Come on now, how cold is that? Then the nerve to act surprised that he acted out. Like I'm pretty sure she knew dude was unstable; yet she did it anyway.

And that's to say nothing about the guys in question (I'm guilty so that includes me). But in all, action and reaction are equal and opposite; and when you do stuff, you have no control over how the other party should react to it.

Like that Dominican guy who killed himself after his ex who he was still pleading to get back together with made a sex tape and sent it to him as the ultimate "leave me the f*ck alone" message. I mean she could just have continued ignoring his calls; but she had to go meta. You know to "show him."

Would she have done that if the guy was a cartel boss? You know the answer!

Without tailors, many of us won't have clothes to wear.

Not everybody can be doctor, lawyer, engineer, etc...some people have to do other things.

I once had a classmate who went on to read Art in university. His brothers and sisters were all Science students, but he was not good at Science...so art it was.

Infact the reason why we are not developed as a country is because we look down on people who use their hands to do a job, and look up to people who do clerical jobs. That's wrong. Developed countries were built by the handworkers, not the office armchair generals.

The founder of one of Japan's big car making companies started by making a mechanical engine for a mining company he was working for, not by commanding from some office.
think of evry profession as different parts of the body

All are important and one is not beneath the other

And they all contribute their own way to nation building
.that is why I disagree with the below

Developed countries were built by the handworkers, not the office armchair generals.

Without top notch administration and skills, the "hand workers" are useless.
And without skilled hand workers , administration is useless

The problem is Nigerians are not yet ready for movies online cost of data is not proportional to the income ratio of the people.

Most Nigerians earn from 50,000naira and below this set of people make up the bulk of the citizens in the south where they might give nollywood a chance to watch.

For you to watch movies on the Internet you need bulk data’s check the rate of bulk data’s from service producers then you see 12-17k as price!

How do someone with a pay of 50,000 below take out 12-17k to buy data to watch movies?you haven’t factor other family expenses.its not about paying 3k for subscription but about paying data to watch the subscription!

Even dstv have a dip in there Dstv subscribers cause you can’t expect people to pay 7k and above when power to watch that isn’t stable so people will rather go for Gotv and pay less than 2000naira!

Some can’t even maintain paying Gotv wvrymotnh this amount cause they’re hardly at home they rather buy 150# disc to watch latest nollywood or season film!

Yes if you have a dstv subscription you can watch on your mobile phone through dstv mobile app but the question is how many people are watching dstv through their mobile phone?practically little cause an average Nigeria can’t spend money to watch a full dstv with his data!

I know you will say but people watch YouTube and Instagram ! It’s a psychological thing people would rather watch Instagram of 1mins video and watch several different 1min content with data than watch 1hour plus of same content with data! Or watch their favorite YouTube music video of 4mins!

This problem is from the fact that an average Nigerian earn way too little to spend money so large on data to access internet tv.heck Nigerians will rather download a Hollywood movie and share offline than stream online l.so it’s not a case of Nollywood is bad content.

The purchasing power of Nigerians is low! An average Nigeria will rather buy petrol if 500naira inside I better pass my neighbor generator and put it on for 5hours and watch dvds/Gotv with lesser money spent

The way out is still the normal traditional way of absorbing content! Large chunk from DVDs and Gotv/startimes we just have to solve the piracy problem then the industry players will make money! Cause Netflix works in America doesn’t mean iroko will work in Nigeria !
the purchasing power of Nigerians need to improve for businesses to thrive in Nigeria
